the second half feels 1000 times better than the first half..it now feels similar to s1 (imo). I'm glad I stuck around. everything about ep 18 was very beautiful

the sadness of zhaomo in ep26 was so beautifully sad...how are even their sad moments so breathtakingly gorgeous and beautiful and romantic....

love love how the show circled back to the main plot so naturally ..can't heap enough praises on the writer and director

feeling super conflicted about this one unfortunately. it's still too early to make a definitive judgement but something about the flow of this season is bothering me. i also didn't care for half of the cases so far (the AI creator's reasoning for his crime made me roll my eyes soo hard). i also agree that du cheng's role seems to have been diminished, when half of the magic of season 1 was shen yi and du cheng bouncing off of each other :( idk something's missing..

i know there are complaints about the ML's acting but he captivated me here. maybe it's bc its the first thing I've ever seen him in but I think he's doing a good job? especially the angsty scenes with the FL

god the last 2 episodes were so good soo much happened. all of song mo's and dou zhao's scenes are so heart fluttering. watching the scene with her tending to his injuries and him looking for the flower by her ear felt so intimate i felt like i was intruding by watching them

idk if the subs were off but the magistrate saying "it's so sick, I love it!" during the fake torture scene killed me 😭😭

the ML is doing an amazing job. most times, alot of the "imposing general" roles never really convince me, but he definitely does. the fl is great as well and they have such amazing chemistry already
