as if cxq sneaking around watching them kiss like a FREAK wasn't bad enough, he actually dared to throw a tantrum about cyy "stealing his woman"..what a delusional loser
some of the comments are kinda surprising cuz i thought the wedding scene in ep 29 was quite steamy 🫣. i thought it was gonna be a regular fade to black/fade to birds/fade to trees that usually get in c-dramas. although their kisses leaves much to be desired it doesn't bother me, i find it a bit endearing actually and funnily in line with their characters
Gu Jin Zhao fainted upon seeing Ye Xian in distress. Her heart aches for his struggles & she would risk her…
I agree with your view completely. Ye Xian is 100% deserving of all of the criticism he gets, but I don't think that scene was out of character of GJZ the some ppl here have been suggesting. Her conversation of closure with him basically confirmed yours (and my interpretation) of their friendship. Her fainting during that scene made sense...and you're right, I think it's the feeling of abandonment more so that not getting a chance to be a lover, is the main reason for him lashing out (other than his obvious violent tendencies). I feel like GJZ saw through all of that (the feeling of abandonment since she sees him as a mirror) which was why her last convo with him was so necessary and probably was the biggest push for him to finally move on.
ep 40 really knocked it out the park, especially where the leads acting was concerned. the fact that the very first thing he simu tasted were her tears felt very poetic 😭😭. i also prefer this ending as opposed to the alternate one, it's one of the few times I have no complaints about how things were wrapped up
based on the comments i see on wb and xhs on edits and posts related to this drama, c-netz still have not moved passed hytt scandal and it seems like it would take a few years for them to want to give anything she's in a chance. that combined with the original PA fans being annoyed with this drama being marketed as a PA sequel when it officially is not
at the end she’ll probably become human, but i wish she could stay as sovereign with ultimate power and he becomes…
I haven't read the novel but I wish there was a happy medium. She clearly does not like being immortal due to her lack of the senses and she does not like being the Spirit Lord (she only took the position for the sake of her parents). I wish there was a way for her to obtain the senses that she wishes she had while maintaining her power. Also wish there was a way for her to transfer power but can still step in when she absolutely has to
I think it was his because his soul candle went out, that sent him into the illusion. Later she told him to snap…
I thought so at first, but her dialogue about being un-ending and undying when duan xu 'dies' made me think it was her illusion. Maybe it was both of theirs?
