this drama made a jing tian fan out of me. despite it's many flaws there is something really charming about this drama and it's understandable why so many people including me liked it so much. the leads did an amazing job, their chemisty just felt so natural and i could not get enough of them. i hope they work together again in the future because they are truly lovely to watch
Excited for this one so I could compare the two movies lol..all my fav actors doing 2 fantasy movies with a similar sotryline is a dream come true for me! I'm 100% sure i'll like this one more because I suspect this storyline will be better. Chen kun and zhou xun's chemistry is always to die for so that's an immediate plus
plot was underwhelming as I expected but the actors, cgi, costumes were excellent. as much as I love the 2 main actors, wang duo stole the show. I reaallly hope to see him in more works from now on, it's about time he gets more roles! ;_;
I think because there was not much of the game action going on in second half of the show.Which characters did…
niragi but mostly the hatter/number 1...i guess it was intentional to make him like that but still. And you're right, as soon as the focus shifted away from the games it started to feel draggy to me
I agree with everyone that this was great but the first half was better than the latter imo. Although it's only 8 episodes, the last 3 or so episodes felt draggy, and the finale felt less impactful than the beginning for some reason? Also some of the characters from the beach were a bit cringey and over the top lol. But looking forward to s2 still!
I'm leaning towards disliking both the leeads as well for the same reasons as @celestial but i'm withholding my judgemnent for now because its still too early EO said she hated herself and im interested to know the soirce of her pain/trauma and maybe i might feel more sympathetoc towards her
I’m just assuming this is only season 1 and there will be a season 2. Which is why I’m holding off on starting…
the only netflix kdrama i've watched is extracurricular so i didn't know the long wait was a regular thing for netflix..hopefully i won't get too attached to this one then if there's really a season 2
I also appreciate the short length of the drama since I've gotten used to cdramas that are shorter it's been hard for me to get back into the regular 1hr long k-dramas..so this is a nice welcome back into kdramas
