I know. It's already a complicated love triangle story of three souls in two bodies.
- SY loves CJ for her whole life.
- CJ liked SY, but falls deeply for SB.
- SB eventually falls for CJ and even took the bullet for him.

Firstly, I am glad that Kim Jung Hyun's character did not die in Mr. Queen.
The reason they did the spin-off was they knew we will riot after Ep 20 ending. Bamboo Forest showed that CJ and SY are soulmates and first loves to each other, and this is Bong Hwan's desire to go back to modern day where he belongs.
