I know what you mean. He made zero impression on me when I watched Put Your Head on My Shoulder. I did not find…
Listen here. Stalker, private detective, personal secretary and geneticist. I'm demanding DNA samples, hair analysis and the like. I mean the transformation, glow up , bang pow HERE I AM come up this man had is not earthly. When I say I was not moved nor bothered the firs few time I saw him. I was like oh he's an interesting character but this man - can't be the same one I've seen. I refuse to believe it.. LOL. Someone is playing with our minds. He got me checking for him like I check for Yang Yang. We need to form a committee and compare research notes. LOL.
I know what you mean. He made zero impression on me when I watched Put Your Head on My Shoulder. I did not find…
Okay. So I'm not the only when who was side swiped, run over, back up on and knocked off the bridge into a large body of water by the Daddi Tang Bullet Train. Didn't see it coming at all. I like you was not moved by him in PYHOMS. I thought his character was sweet in Way Back Into Love but who is this man that reported for work in My Little Happiness. I need a DNA sample, hair analysis, finger prints and proof that this is the same man and not a body snatcher because how you go from meh to my goodness so quickly has got to be some kind of sorcery. LOL. This happened to me with Caesar Wu when in the General's Lady but I had time to process his change, I hadn't seen him since Meteor Garden. But when I just saw you in a drama a few months ago and then you turn up like this. I need more information. LOL. I need answers now.
Answers I say!! I agree FINE is the word and it's not enough to describe him.
When did this man become this adorable, charming, fine and such? And why was I not informed. I remember him from PYHOMS and I just recently saw him in Way Back Into Love but I finally decided to watch My Little Happiness because he was in it. I thought he was adorable but he like snuck up on me. What is this? Fix it. I've got enough to deal with, with Yang Yang, Li Hong Yi, Kim Young Dae, Caesar Wu, Kim Soo Hyun and such. I don't need another one added to the list. Fix it. Fix it now!
If it's not the lean ins, the intense stares, the sly coy smile, the not so innocent innocent eyes, the hugs, the use of his hands (why!!!) Fix it. Fix him. Make it go back to me not noticing him. Uggggh.. I'm broken. I'm officially broken. FIX IT!!! lol.
So I've been skating past this drama for some time and I finally decided to watch it last night. And all I'm gonna say is baby Daddi Tang (my goodness the name fits). I remember this man from PYHOMS I found him interesting and quite charming and Way Back Into Love (I thought he was precious in that) but what happened so soon. How did he become the very essence of him name like from one episode. Seriously he had me at episode one. One I never noticed how beautiful his face was. Two the way he walks. Three the lean ins to the FL are killing me. What female wouldn't be all a flutter. I lose it when he lean it, my heart starts racing. Like to be the actress acting opposite from him. The chemistry is ridiculous. I don't remember him being all of this and I enjoyed everything I've seen him in thus far but where did this man come from seemingly OVERNIGHT? Fix it. Fix this!!!!
Okay back to the drama. It's cute and adorable. I'm here for it.
Okay. i am enjoying this drama but I am about ready to knock this Liafang chick out. The Marquis' momma is working my nerves, but I'm glad to see that the Marquis himself ain't buying the crocodile tears. He is on to her and I love it. She needs to be dealt with. I cannot endure her for 45 episodes. I was already put off when I seen the chick who plays Jin'er from The Rebel Princess. My bias kicked in knowing she was gonna be no good and then this other chick.. I can't do two delusional trick playing females. It's too much. But I'm here for the FL and ML I like them both. The story line is a bit different while cliche but a bit different from others. I plan to stay but I'm ready to unload on the TV. LOL.
I was thinking since they killed off all his weak cells an re-injected him with just the strong cells it would make him doubly strong. They didn't explain well what it was that made his cells weak. It's part of this story like this that drive me crazy because I didn't understand how his power and such could be removed with the extraction they performed when he is a mix of 6 different types of DNA. That part is still confusing to me.
And yeah she's endured so many of ZO's explosive moments and she's been through so much I'm thinking she was strengthened through that. And him being near was helpful in keeping the baby calm and not reacting in fear like the other babies reacted in the womb of those other women. I am still wondering if her parents or father did something to her. It's so many vague parts to the story but it's all good. I still like this drama quite a bit.
Agreed.. I want them happy. They both deserve the world for all they've endured. There's still the question about their parents. Are they dead? How deep were they into this? And I have questions about her. Is she altered to a certain degree because how was she able to make it through the pregnancy fine carrying his baby when the other women were killed? Is there something special about her that she doesn't know. I mean this girl has had her skull fractured, died/was resurrected, she's been stabbed, shot and all kinds of stuff but she's still alive and she had little to no complications carrying his baby. Either they didn't develop that well or something is special about her too. I'm just saying.
Yeah. My heart is heavy waiting on the pain. As far as their romance is concerned it literally hits every trope but in a subtle manner: there's the hate to love trope, there's the childhood/family connection trope, there's the forbidden/unlikely romance trope, there's the strong FL/cold male lead trope, the life saver trope. They've saved each other multiple times and in that regard alone there are dramas out there with characters who fall head over heels for less so the romance was there beaming like a neon light but they disguised it well so that it seemed like an unexpected twist and turn but if you evaluate it according to all the tropes you can see it plainly.
The strong male lead threw me off for a bit because it's either the female is strong and the guy is kind of soft but, he's really not that strong emotionally. I knew he was in love because of how he looks at her, obeys her and follows her like a lil puppy and he trusts her so freely. It's really cute. He was confused and fearful of his emotions but he confessed that he always wanted love and a family he was just afraid.
I think the development of the romance was amazing because it did feel like it came out of nowhere which is realistic when you think about friendships and how a girl and a guy who are best friends suddenly realize they are in love with each other. Works for those who seemingly at odds with each other. It's not hate it's love. :-)
Remember how HZ had kidnapped Awu in the beginning. So was that all his own plan or was he encouraged to do so…
It appears to be all his own plan as his tribe seem to be unbothered or concerned with her. Good question. I'm sure those who read the book have more info. I'm just going off what I've seen in the drama. His aim was Xiao Qi so he took Awu - he however didn't expect to fall in love I'm sure.
Oh, General Song, my heart can't take your character in the later episodes :(
I loved him so and am becoming increasingly more disappointed with him. I don't know if his issues are based upon jealousy. He seems to love the general. But I believe he's driven by greed and shame of his background so that's making him a bit problematic and unpredictable. He was one of my favorite characters tho. We'll see how it goes.
I wasn't expecting a romance as the show tag didn't mention one but I was expecting it from the way he looked at her and his desire/draw to protect her. Then there is the childhood connection between the two, the quote unquote forbidden nature of them coming together, her supposed distrust of him but also her draw to protect him pointed to there being something between them. She was in denial and he was afraid so I'm not surprised by the romance or its development. I was waiting on it.
The show can do better about letting us know how much time has passed - they did in episode 8. They were together 3 months alone in a beautiful place - how can something not happen especially after all they went through together. The seeds of a romance were already planted. The kindling was the trials they went through together and being alone became the fan to the flames. She got to see him as the human and man she and others were convinced he could not be.
I now understand who it was in the beginning of the show - the woman running with the baby who said you're not a monster and then dropped the baby was the detective. I'm sure of it now because I remember the frame of the woman at the beginning and the hoodie. The detective is the build of that woman and she has a hoodie similar to that of the woman in the beginning. Which brings me to my sadness about it all - I don't think it's going to end well for Zi O/Ji oh, I think he will die or one of them will die protecting the baby and each other.
I really like this drama for its uniqueness. Other parts of it are blah but over all I am enjoying it. Can't wait for the final 4 episodes.
It's funny. I was telling my husband the other day that Daddy Wang is now one of my favorite characters because in seeing how everyone is scheming in the palace. I can understand Daddy Wang's motives. He was just trying to protect his family and position his family so they wouldn't have to bow down to anyone. Daddy Wang is a real thug, but he's real. I noticed the lil prince was content with him. Babies know and if the lil prince is alright with Daddy Wang. I am too. I was so glad to hear he was alive. He did some dirt for sure but he saved his daughter from a world of mess when he made the choice to marry her off to the general. It may have been motivated by selfishness but in the whole picture view that man is a genius. Like playing chess Daddy Wang is on everything, I love how he knew something wasn't right with his son bring the lil prince to the Gu girl (not that she was the problem) Dad knew people were watching. I love it. And watching him in the carriage with the lil prince was priceless. And yes if anyone can deal with Ms. Jin'er is dad. I cannot wait to see what happens. That's my dude. Lol. Daddy Wang got his issues but he's a real one.
Totally agree with you! I’ve seen up to episode 63 raw and from what I can figure out by the raw scenes, Jin’er…
Oh okay. Yeah I hadn't read the novel. I saw someone posts about certain things from the novel. Ah well. It is what it is. Lol. I still love this drama tho. I will go down as one of the best I've seen this year.
Jin'Er hater :P. lol jk. I know what you mean, Jin"Er did so many bad things and she is still living like she…
You have a point about them deserving each other because she's trapped in a situation with a man who doesn't love her. Him saving her life was directly connected to Awu. He gave in and slept with her because she was smelling like Awu. He's clinging to her because she's all that is left of Awu. That is a miserable existence to have. Zitan is such a wimp too. I'd just be happy if Zitan knew the truth because it just seems she was rewarded with becoming Zitan's concubine but I guess it's more like torment when considering the fact that he will never love her.
And yeah I'm hard on her. Lol. I have no patience with her because it's a loyalty thing. You expect certain people to betray you but if I trust you as my sister, family, I love you and think of you first, I trust you with everything and you don't even regard my life enough to not try to kill me for a man, to not turn me over to someone who already kidnapped me over some man - I mean nothing she has done is understandable. To betray someone that close that you grew up with who took your orphan self in, who did all Awu did for her is just the worse villainy ever.

That would be nice. Let them torture each other in unhappiness. Her getting a happy ending is really what's got my blood boiling. She needs to at least pay or be confronted.
Jin'Er hater :P. lol jk. I know what you mean, Jin"Er did so many bad things and she is still living like she…
Yeah. That's what unnerves me the most about her is the fact that Awu loved her so deeply and sincerely. And she saw how Awu loved the General. It wasn't Awu's fault that the pitiful 3rd prince who is now the emperor (help the country Lord) still was obsessed with Awu and I don't know what made her think Awu dying was going to change his obsession. I mean really. There's so much about her that disgusts me the most out of all the villains because she's the worst kind of enemy. An enemy whom you loved in the way Awu loved her. She never once thought about betrayer Jin'er. Was talking about a good marriage for her. Trusted her and just so much. That's horrible to be betrayed like she betrayed her.
Okay doing shady stuff to steal her ex. Whatever but turning her over to a man who kidnapped her one time already. I mean come on. Just so many things about this character is the worst.
