On the chemistry between ML and FL: I would have to agree that even during that confession scene, the sparks weren't flying in the way many of the viewers would expect. However, given the circumstances of both the leads, I don't think it's proper to put sexual tension between them at any point thus far in the drama, not until the mystery has been solved. BUT... The way their relationship progressed from two people who met coincidentally (Whoops! There's the literal translation of the Korean title 'I Met You By Chance'), to "teacher" and "student" while being partners in crime solving, to acquaintances who get curious about each other's thoughts, to friends who get concerned enough to find ways to console each other... And the way they look forward to spending more time together in the future. It would be tragic and heartbreaking if one of them fails to exist in the future OR if they become strangers to each other in the future... (Dang! There's the English title!)
Hae Joon should’ve known better not to touch the body and get Bum Ryeong’s blood on his hand. But then, there…
The killer chooses women as victim, but any man who gets in the way to spare the life of the woman he plotted to kill dies a similar way as well. This might mean that in the future, HJ must’ve tried to save a supposed to be victim’s life as well, seeing how he and BR have the same position when they died.
The killer must have had a traumatic experience caused by his mom who likes to read books.
Hae Joon should’ve known better not to touch the body and get Bum Ryeong’s blood on his hand. But then, there would be no thrill, so I’ll let it slip. I used to think that Ko Mi Sook was the killer but now we have been given the evidence that she is not, and even found out why she had to frame her brother. If I had to guess who the killer is, I’d pick the girls’ homeroom teacher, the guy who likes Hae Kyung’s mom. Or one of the side character policemen.
TMI coming. ••• I have long been aware how popular this drama is, not simply because IU is in it, but because…
So far, for me, the drama feels not dark, but dim. Like how dim it is before dawn. It feels like “a few steps more and you’ll be a few steps near the light at the end of the tunnel.” ••• Not once did I think this is a romance drama. Also, I rarely root for wide age gap pairings, but so far I felt something similar to that kilig (giddy feeling) when watching a romance drama, not a 100 percent though. It’s like, I just want the two of them find in each other a reason to be excited about life. Not necessarily fall in love WITH each other, but fall in love with their life BECAUSE of each other. ••• This is just episode two. Maybe I could say more once I finish it, but who knows if I would feel impelled to write here again that time. ••• Anyway, thanks for reading this. I’m grateful to you for showing interest in my thoughts. ••• If you still haven’t, I hope you find your own reason to be happy with your life. Pray with me that I’ll find mine.
TMI coming. ••• I have long been aware how popular this drama is, not simply because IU is in it, but because it’s a really good drama. But I don’t just simply watch dramas because of the hype it had (or has). I need the drama to hit me. Maybe not always out of curiosity, sometimes I just would like to relate to it or for it to relate with me. ••• In one of my depressive moments, I began asking people around me (who have seen it, of course) about it. I looked for something to feel sad with me. But that still didn’t move to watch this drama. ••• About 3 days ago, out of the blue, I just started to watch it. Yes, indeed, it felt sad. I’ve just finished Episode 2 and have realized how this drama actually feels (at least to me). ••• (See reply if you want to read on.)
What do you mean by free coins? If you download the app you get coins?
No, not immediately. But the app gives you means to earn coins. Tap on the menu and look for "Free Coins". There are tasks to complete to get free coins. IDK if the others know this already, it's good to spread the word. I just collected 34 more coins using the app, on account of my previous posting in forums, writing reviews and others, plus watching a video ad (+6 coins).
Love the last minute twist in Ha Jun - no - Dan Woo's story. Especially the part when the last memories he "remembered" (or thought of) before dying were his moments with the Rainbow Taxi Fam.
I was late catching up on this awesome series and also in realizing the references to real life cases. Before watching the latest episodes, I’ve been seeing the words “Burning Sun” when I skim through the comments and wondered, upon watching the episodes, why netizens are calling it “Burning Sun” and not Black Sun. DANG was I so slow. Oh and VICTOR, yeah. If what we’ve seen in the drama is what actually happened (or happens) IRL, the actual people behind these evil acts don’t even deserve to breathe.
This formula of making the storyline relevant and being able to resolve real life society problems in the drama is a sure win. In the PH we had this series run for 7 straight years (M-F; 30-45 min per ep) which was well loved and well received by viewers because of this formula.
Maybe 2 more seasons won’t hurt. Voice ran for four seasons anyway.
I've seen two dramas directed by Jo Soo Won PD: The Time We Were Not In Love and Today's Webtoon. While the first one did not meet my personal standards, the second became a memorable drama for me (although the Kim Se Jeong drama did not fare well in terms of ratings, SK or MDL). Let's see how he will do in this one. (As a SHJ fan, I hope this goes really well.)
