My favorite watch of 2023! Please do

I honestly am not seeing the hype for When I Fly Towards You. Typical Cdrama and honestly quite low quality for the rating it has. Would give it 8.4 at most.

it’s probably inflated but I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s got no merit. definitely one of the best out there

probably slightly inflated but I’m very picky with dramas (keep in mind I’m primarily a romcom watcher) and this one became an all time favorite almost instantly. I would riot if it was lower than like 8.7 on here but 9.2 seems awfully high. to each their own though, I have no complaints about it being the highest rated drama on here cause it is the best for me

it’s kind of growing on me, though I wish there was a way to find out which dramas are cringe before I start :(( I really didn’t have this issue with hidden love, absolutely adore that drama

Just because My Demon is the most buzzworthy drama right now doesn't mean it has the best couple and SBS knows that. If we left everything up to the fans we'd have some hella biased awards. Although I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna hop on the My Demon bandwagon the SECOND that drama finishes airing.

This drama actually had SO much potential and deserved so much more. Cut down the episodes a bit and change the ending and this could've easily been a 9/10 or even more for me

I wouldn't say it's an open ending tbh. They *tried* to make it an open ending but they basically closed any doors to the ending being up for interpretation with the way literally EVERYTHING but the last scene played out. In my mind it's pretty concrete, but I can't say I liked it

I'd say the first half is worth watching, not so much the second half

I'm on Lee Sun Kyun's side, but in general rampant drug use does carry significant societal impacts and I can't blame a government for wanting to reduce its use by the citizens. Now, the way they go about it is where we start to run into issues, and there's lots of arguments that people make about how we should try to reduce the use of drugs. However, "look how this actor died when we tried to police drugs! look, policing drugs is bad!" is a very irresponsible statement to make because you can't simply "do drugs" without causing harm to others

They're so young too... I can't imagine losing a father as a young teen

Yes, but your average healthy human wouldn't turn to drugs unless something was deeply wrong, especially one with a thriving career that he can't afford to throw away. The most obvious issue is then the industry he's working in, it can't just be a coincidence

I usually am not very familiar with the actors who are announced to have committed suicide every now and again here on MDL, but this time I was actually shocked to find out it was an actor I knew and loved. Rest in peace Lee Sun Kyun :,(
