I'm going to be controversial and say that I can understand where Sabin is coming from. You have KSH shooting CJB because he assumed he was guilty of kidnapping her. And then the kid is brain damaged. My feelings would be confused too, especially when CBJ has stalker, psychopathic tendencies (although I am inclined to feel he is mostly autistic - with a psycho family). Meanwhile KSH is a violent district attorney with some very problematic ethics. I don't think either of these guys are really stellar boyfriend material (Aside from the dangerous, handsome vibe they both have). Sabin's karmic debt seems to be able to protect KSH from dying and prevent CJB from being a killer. Unlike the guys she doesn't care if she lives or dies, and maybe in the end that is what needs to happen.
The title of the show is Born Again: I think where perhaps the writers are going is towards clearing up the misunderstanding between CJB and KSH, and together they will untangle all the mystery, or if their are really pursuing the Wuthering Heights, a lot of people will be suffering or dead at the end of this drama.
Personally I think the writer and her daughter are the more annoying characters. As too are CJB's family, I would be happy if those characters get what's coming to them.
Note: I don't expect this to be a romance or happy ending story. But I hope it can be satisfying.
the only reason that the public turned on them is because no one knew that when they met they didnt know each…
These were two media savvy people, all that could have been explained in post or interview. I mean I get it. Celebrities are under a very fine microscope, and the fans are frankly crazy, it's in the realm of possible, but it was a drama about healing and recovery, they could have just been honest with the public. If after explaining there are conflicting reactions, like when the EXO guy got married. Then sure we could see both their careers taking a hit.
I found the ending weird, why would the public turn on them, to the extent that both careers are damaged? It's not like they cheated or committed a crime. They only became a couple several years after the fact. Other than the random, stalker reporters spin on the situation, why would this have such an effect? To be honest they could have contrived the separation (I almost think these things are required in kdramas to reflect separations fro military enlistment), differently, She's an actress, travel for work, is part of her job. Its easy to see her work abroad. They could have shown how the couple worked as a long distance couple. I never understand why they insist it needs to be a no contact separation. Even solders get letters and phone calls. I do think think YHJ needed time to process everything. But it would have been better if they could do it together,
The actors are very good. There are a lot of good moments. I didn't care for the doctors or villians in the story. Criminals breaking out of prison, doctors publishing books despite the publisher clearly being told that the information is in violation of patients rights. They had enough challenges as a couple that these plot devices were excessive.
That quack of a professor (and father) is making the psychiatry and psychology department look bad. Actually,…
I agree with you. It does bug me the lack of confidentiality of the doctors in the drama. It seems to happen a lot in Korean and Chinese dramas, doctors leaking patient info. Is it not an illegal offence? The most common practice I've seen is telling family members of the patient's medical condition before telling the patient. Or in some soapy dramas where the rich sponsor of the hospital gets medical records of whomever they are interested in. The dramas seem to rely on corruption of the medical field for their plots.
The lead are spectacular in this series. I just love them.
Double standard. I blame the writing for this, especially for not creating a logical and consistent female lead!…
I do agree the breakup was unnecessary conflict, but I do agree TX would have forgiven him. I wish the series had focused more on how hard it is to be top athlete and try and have a balance life. or the real struggle to get back your drive after a big loss. It's a lot harder to deal with those issues in a meaningful way than to go with the cliche jealous bf route.
At episode 7. There's weak chemistry between the main leads. Something is lacking about the female lead's acting.…
I agree her acting isn't strong in this show, it's campy here and less sincere. But I do think she can be a good actress. I think it's because the characters are too silly.
