Title Go Ahead Spoiler
I'm not ready to leave this drama yet. It might be some time before I post an official review. But I do have a…
1. No random breakup between LX and JJ
2. LX's colleague was useful in the end.
3. JJ's partner dumped and fired her terrible boyfriend
4. JJ's ex-boyfriend ends up being a really awesome friend, proving JJ's good taste in humans.
4. CT does leave the country (we can debate about how we would have preferred more closure, but at the end of the day, she does leave, and they can start the healing.)
5. HZQ had the most complete ending (sans girlfriend)
6. LX's parents sort of apologise to their son (of course it could have been more)
7. Li Ba gets hitched.

MY and her mom scene makes me cry.
Me too. It’s a case of loving too much and not enough honest communication

Watching that scene translated mad me very mad. I lost all my compassion. His aunt is also infuriating.
I would disagree, JJ has been above and beyond nice. She even encourages LX and Lil Orange to keep the peace with their mom, because she knows how important moms are. In ordinary situation CT and JJ don’t need to like each other, they barely know each other. However JJ is respectful and kind to CT. Whereas CT uses every opportunity to politely insult JJ.

Anyways we agree CT is a nightmare.

Regarding the aunt, when JJ was in the room she was nicer than CT, but after the fight I think what she said indicated her true feelings. She is a side character, but she shows the toxic attitude that his family have. Friend to your face, enemy behind your back.

My main dislike of the aunt is that she straight up says "I don't like JJ." The rest of what she says is observation, "If JJ and LX get married you will lose your son." I'm not mad about the second part other than it further adds fuel to CT rage, but she already hates JJ so it's pretty easy to make her explode. But as we know the observation is wrong.

CT lost LX a long time go, and the more she emotional blackmails him, insults and separates him from the people he cares about, the more lost he will be to himself, but we can't expect an Aunt who hasn't seen or bothered to care about him in 4 years to know that. Also why that hypocrite bothers me.

What I am also objecting to is how outsiders view the situation like LX and CT. You can't complain about your mom, you can't yell at her, you can't tell her she's wrong in front of an outsider, because it's seen as shameful and embarrassing and oftentimes, people side with the parent. Even LX himself does it to Little Orange when she yells at her mom. (He probably is afraid his mom will go psycho, but he still does it.)

Anyways, I've rambled again. The aunt is a minor character, if I am really mad at anything, its that I didn't see how sly she was until I viewed the translated version. For a while there I thought she was okay too.

I find it very creepy that a lot of you ship ZQ with LX's little sister. this girl is 17. she's underage and they…
Lol, I’m going to spread a theory that because HZQ is so beloved by the audience at the end of the drama it’s not going to be about who he ends up with but who will he pick? And just to keep us guessing they won’t let us know. I think the boy who was never picked is going to get the cream of the crop in choices: MY, TC, little Orange, and heck JJ’s coworker.

Though i'm only on the 4th episode i can't help just by getting bothered by the FL . I'm liking everything else…
I’m going to be old fashion and say I like the haircut. (I think she looks cute).

But do recognize there are tropes being used here that can be cliché. The one that has been bugging me lately (not Go Ahead related) is the ML schooling the FL if they are in the same profession. For whatever reasons the FL is always less qualified in her career than the ML.

I really hate Ling Xiao character here even tho I like song wei long I cant stand this character like tf feel…
After reading this long thread of debate. No one is going to make you like LX. I’m guessing you were hoping to get more support for your hate. Twitter doesn’t seem to like him either. You can get support for your feelings there. It doesn’t seem like you enjoy the show either. It’s a just a tv drama. SWL will make more shows that you can support.

I can relate to XL, and you cannot.

I do think it’s mean to call audiences who don’t hate the character, creepy, perverts, or superficial. You don’t need to lash out on people because you don’t like the character. Try to show some respect, even when you don’t agree.

I just wish the music was quieter so i can hear the words and narration clearer. .lol. But LX said it he feels…
Honestly I find the spoilers evil. They make me more anxious than the actual episode.

While I don’t think LJJ and LX should breakup:

A. Because it seems out of character
B. It’s a boring plot device to handle conflict

I do think one reason they might do so is because CT is a danger to LJJ. And may cause her harm.

I don’t like CT. But I know what it’s like to deal with someone like her. She will need something drastic to change. Like the burn accident only worse. That would be realistic.

It will probably make us all very upset. You can’t reason with crazy, she needs a mass intervention/shock.

If I was vengeful writer: I would have Ling Ba charge her with child negligence for the death of their daughter. Have her fully declared insane and sent to an institute. But this is a family drama.

I’m not sure why you are so angry? Anyways, he’s very quick to defend LJJ. It’s in ep. 36 DVD version.

It was a tough episode to watch. Honestly I’ve been sad at how intolerant of the audience is of LX. Maybe because of all the characters I relate to him the most.

That might be from when she was first disabled. She tried often to commit suicide. I hope LX can get closer, not more tragedy.

I hope Li and Ling Ba and JJ and HZQ can help. LX has been coping with her for too long.

A little back story on the tree kiss. They had to perform it in front of a huge crowd. You can find images online. I would say considering how much pressure the actors must have felt with so many people watching I think it was a nice scene

I can understand people be uncomfortable, however they really have no blood relationship. It's interesting because…
True we don't focus enough about chemistry. I think off-screen (or off-drama), Steven and Seven have a lot of chemistry, because they did "Little Forest" and have been on the some of the same variety shows you can see that there is a strong friendship there. Also in "Go Ahead" they get a lot of funny moments together.

Fans of Steven are responding to their dynamic and naturally ship them. But within the drama, they are siblings, with sibling like behaviours. The only deviation is when HQ is teach JJ cake decorating but that was more of him trying to see if he could rethink his feelings for her (my interpretation).

LX and JJ are more serious and arguably more romantic. LX has been looking at that girl soulfully since high school and I would argue JJ is more affectionate to LX. I would have to rewatch, but that's how I've seen it. When he decides it time to show JJ his feelings, it's an outright seduction, and that's when we really feel it.

SWL is the youngest member of the cast, and off screen very quiet. He's not as comfortable as his seniors.

So I think people are influenced by the off-screen chemistry as much as the onscreen chemistry.

I can understand people be uncomfortable, however they really have no blood relationship. It's interesting because…
The clues might be too subtle for you or I could be reading into them. I will say because we watch episodes as soon as they release, we don't know yet what will be revealed. This is why I hesitate to rate the drama, even though I clearly adore it. I want to judge it for all the episodes.

I love the writing and the unfolding of the plots, but JJ feelings as an adult for JX haven't yet been fully revealed. That's why even LX has doubt (you see this in the coming trailers). So far JJ is ready for a relationship (hence bf no. 1). She's open to the idea. We know she loves both LX and HQ. They haven't shown her sculpture (I want to see it) but it was poignant enough that she won the exhibit. It probably displays a lot of her feelings for them growing up. In their childhood, you do see how she treats each brother differently, but I can understand if it still feels very "brotherly." LX gets clingy JJ. HQ gets wild, fun JJ.

JJ does tend to fight and play more with HQ. Whereas she tends to depend and obey LX. Thankfully JJ has already articulated how she feels about HQ. Stating that marriage with him would be a "nightmare".

In terms of how she is transforming her feelings with LX. Shock, adjustment, research (hence the manga: note she's read 7 volumes), and yes the kisses.

I finally understand why people think it's creepy that Ling Xiao and Jianjian are ~together. While it was quite…
I can understand people be uncomfortable, however they really have no blood relationship. It's interesting because when she mentions bothers people are always trying to understand the blood relationship. Oh how are you siblings? You see them always having to give a little story about how they are like-siblings or grew up like siblings, but have different parents.

I think what I'm learning is how important labels are. They labeled their relationship as "siblings" therefore audiences are stuck on thinking they are actually siblings. But JJ herself said before the time skip, "After you leave we are no longer siblings". She said it because she was heartbroken at the time, and from her perspective they chose their blood ties over her family which had been emotionally supporting both boys for 10 years.

She says it again when they tried to make her dump her boyfriend. By-the-way JJ's character got a lot of flack from netizens for that statement. They felt what the boys felt, that she was cutting them off. But 9 years is a long time.

HZI works pretty hard to try to re-establish their past relationship and LX wants romantic relationship. In his defence it's what he's always wanted. LX was just waiting for JJ to grow-up

If you rewatch the scenes, after the time-skip JJ is physically wary of LX. She is very aware of his proximity. This is a girl who used to cling to him like glue. I think the Seven was trying to convey how subconsciously she was aware of him as a man after his return from Singapore.

What is a family? When they acted like a family, lived as a family, loved like a family the people around them constantly reminded them that they were not. When they boys leave, the neighbours, and classmates, are the first to say, "See! You are not a family!" because when the going gets tough people go back to where they come from.

I'm not saying that true, it's just what was conveyed. Of course the boys had good reason for going, and also for being away for so long.

When they come back they want to be a legal family. It's their first impulse. The easiest way is marriage to JJ. If this were Japan, Li Ba could adopt HZQ as an adult, but its China and the rules are different.

What's nice was when the boys left, JJ added more family members to her circle. She found sisters. They don't give it that label but you can clearly see that the three girls are sisters. They love, fight, and act like sisters.

I think language plays a part in the confusion. I'm Vietnamese, we would address an older brother 'Anh' but we would also call a boyfriend or husband 'Anh' the label isn't really an indicator of the relationship but of the age of the man you are addressing. So I don't have a problem when her addressing her brothers as "Ge". It's harder if you are coming from a latin language. I know in the Caribbean, they often call close elders Auntie and Uncle, regardless of blood ties.

I'm harping on about labels because I'm reading a lot of comments about the show (probably too many comments). People are upset that they are "sibling" or that the should is suppose to be a "Family drama", no a "Romance drama" but I think that's the point. I think the show is trying to get us to rethink our labels.

Does it really matter so long as you are there for the people you care about?

Everyone in this drama is pitiful so Why I see people arguing about who among them had it worst? Like huh that…
Because people have their favourites. Watching this show you either feel sympathy for a character, or empathy because it represents something you've experience.

Or sometimes it's because the person is cute ;) and you were already a fan of the actor.

I must be evil I enjoy the arguments.
