Me too. And agree that violence is not the solution too....as long as it's not fatal, I guess :P
She's one of my favourites.
I heard that in "Song of Youth" she's playing a different kind of role. Where she's not a badass, but a delicate flower. In the clips it looks like a comedy about marriage. I am curious to see her branch out.
I wish there were more deep voices for females in Chinese Dramas. I know they use dubbers a lot but it would be nice if they could use more variety of voices.
I have a deep voice, so I appreciate it in others ;)

I love that Bai Lu picks strong characters. I wouldn't have been as nice. I would have made sure she was fired. But the point is FL is the lamb among the wolves. So she is nice, thankfully she is also very smart.
I do appreciate that she told the twit co-worker, "You need to stay so i have someone to blame when I make a mistake."
Ummm, I thought he promised her mother that he wouldn't make her cry. That was an unkeepable promise to begin…
I kind of wish they would stop making unkept promises in dramas. Promises are like spoilers at this point: I promise not too... (next few episodes the promise is broken).
I keep waiting for FL to confront her female co-worker. The snarky one who sits across from her. Every time she makes a dig at Jiang Jin, I have the urge to slap her (not that I should - violence is wrong) but she's very annoying.
Not sure what's going to happen in the show but I think his greatest strength is his intelligence, and so far…
I agree, I don't really care if he has martial arts or not, his superpower is clearly leadership and management. I do want the poison gone though. I actually like that it's the FL is the skilled fighter. Someone here said the story is unfolding like it's a biography about her. I like that analogy.
The 1st episode - great! The 2nd - oh myy, my head hurts, my brain is bleeding! I m so sick of stupis female leads…
She was also thinking of her aunt and uncle who took them in after her father died. She didn’t want them to have to live with a son in prison. She was worried about them too and the shame they would have to live with.
I agree she’s not street smart and very trusting. But she probably also thought she could rely on her friends for help. I don’t like the stupid girl / smart guy trope either but these two to do a good job of making me like them.
I think the leads have excellent chemistry but the story has too many tropes and clichés for me. I'm struggling to complete it. What with the CEO Mom, the secretary with unrequited love, and the brother from outta no where. Some of the charm of the early episodes is gone replaced by a lot melodrama. Also I miss the cooking scenes, where did they go. I'm at episode 17...will it get better?
I don't know how many episodes you are at, but she gets a job at the law firm, and the boss falls for her. He is her husband's friend. It was her husband who got the job for her, after she was working at the grocery store as a tester.
So, I've watched snips and bits of the raw episodes and the series is so heart-fluttering. But when I've seen…
lol - he is really pompous in the beginning. But she's so nice, she just puts up with it. Even when she too thinks he's a bit much. I too thank the translator Carmon. It's nice to understand the details.
I don't hate him. He really had no choice but to marry the princess. All of that is understandable. It's how he…
People are very reactionary while watching the shows. Sometimes I feel like I should stop reading the comments because it affects my perspective as I am watching and spoils it for me. Other-times I want to rant too like everyone else.
There were a lot of supporters for the SML. He's an actor who never seems to get the girl, in the story.
I think this is the first time he was first choice for the FL, and they were together for the first half of the show. So it's sad to see him lose the girl again.
Perhaps he will get a redemption arc that is satisfying. Figures crossed.
It was terrible watching Qing Hong mourn. I felt so bad for her, but it was really sweet how supportive and loving Lin Feng was. He was present the whole time to help her deal with her family's death.

It was an empty threat but I appreciated it.

It’s up to you if you can over look it.

kudos to the actors in this episodes.
