judging by the comments, I made a good decision to put this on hold until it's finished. Not interested now. What's…
OHHH I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks so, it seems the writers don’t know the characters they wrote anymore, and by the last couple episodes, the plot is just thrown in the trash and the only reason we’re staying is because of the visuals ... I’ve watched over 100 kdramas in the past 2-3 years I’ve been a kdrama fan, old and newer ones, and I can validate the newer ones are becoming big disappointments ... I hope Tale of the Nine-Tailed and True Beauty don’t get this treatment.
I agree with you. You really should put this under a spoiler tag though
It has been done, but I’m happy you agree, I was just so frustrated by the writing. I cannot believe one of my fav shows of the year ended terribly by the poor writing, I think I’d prefer Joon to be dead than alive all because of the last episode smh ...
Literally I posted a comment on YouTube ... THE DAY BEFORE THE LAST EP. CAME OUT, if the writers half ass this ending, imma be pissed, imma be so pissed I might just take a break from kdramas because I’ve been seeing it happen too much, where the writers forget the characters they wrote 20 ep. prior ... It happened with this show and I’m, PiSsEd ... By the end of this show no joke, I literally said “are you f—- kidding me???”
[Spoiler time] They spent 10 ep. making us believe Joon was going to die, more than that really, because we all had a feeling when Joon started getting more nosebleeds, something was going on, in the last couple ep’s they made us believe it way more than once, and at the end he magically appears like nothing happened, making Ra Ra an emotional wreck thinking he was dead, and she just forgives him like that? It’s like they forgot the characters they wrote because I would’ve kicked the verbal shit outta Joon if he did that to me [though I’m not her, I think her character if written properly should’ve gotten mad at him]. That’s not the type of character Joon is, he would’ve told her his condition and he would’ve instantly come back not making her worry because he DOES care about her, and this hurts me, the writers did this to us, they pulled a Sherlock on us, only Sherlocks writing was better and John called him out for it ... Unbelievable. I think this might be one of the worst endings I’ve ever seen in a kdrama ... And I’ve seen quite the bunch.
alright y’all ... after Joon broke it off with Ra Ra I literally COULD NOT understand why ... he did everything for her, got her the academy, paid her expenses, loves her personally, and enjoys every moment of her company, so I could not understand why he would do such a thing, then I started analyzing lol here we go:
- Joon’s family doesn’t support his life choices, they want him to do well in school, be the perfect son, they don’t want him to be with Ra Ra, so naturally like every kdrama plot they’d do something to keep her away from him, including threatening her life, which could be why he cut ties with her - the girl who gave him the coffee is SHIFTY AF, god I hate her (not the actress lol her character, she’s doing a good job if I hate her) she did something to him, she could’ve blackmailed him and that’s also why he’s not speaking to Ra Ra or getting involved with her - Joon has a lot to loose besides Ra Ra: his friends, Man Bok, Ha Young, EVERYONE, they can equally be affected if he makes the wrong choice, so I’m sure he’s thinking of them too
I really hope the writers can pull this off because after watching the last ep. I thought they were smoking something because it made noooo sense for Joon to neglect Ra Ra, none, I hope they don’t half-ass the ending and cleverly put the plot back together because if they write the “he pushed her away because his family wanted him too, without no reason as to why he couldn’t have called her, and just played the I just wanted to protect you roll and they break-up for real” ... imma loose it ...
Its clear though why she needs to run away. it's about Money.....she can't have the money after divorcing him…
like when he found his wife and daughter “died,” he friggin bawled his eyes out. END OF EP. 1 TO BE EXACT AND IT WAS AND IS FRIGGIN SAD, and then she has the nerve to fake their deaths? I was so frustrated ... I hope he ends up taking his daughter back and getting justice for what happened to him
from someone who writes, creates stories, and wants them to become screenplays one day it’s so frustrating sometimes, like it’s not rocket science to give your characters depth or answer questions the audience has lol

RIGHT. It’s always been about the money lol, but Seo Jin doesn’t deserve that crap, like he hasn’t done anything remotely horrible yet for his wife to have him think his daughter her are dead, so they’re likely going to try to kill him or put him in prison to get his money, like it’s so twisted and sad ... he doesn’t even know his daughter is alive, and I bet he cares so much for her!!!
The ending to this film is so damn bittersweet, I cried ... I hardly ever cry watching endings but it was so friggin sad, and it was a perfect example of “the good guy doesn’t always win,” not in the way you expect; the soundtrack played a big part in me crying a river lol, it’s so hauntingly beautiful, I love watching old Hong Kong films because the magic was just there you know? I’ll never forget this one, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants some comedic-fantasy in their lives
I’m glad lol, I still don’t feel any chemistry between the ml and fl and I don’t know why, there’s a better relationship between the brothers and I want to see more of that, just imo :)
