His character was able to keep his fragile cover-life intact for that many years because he had access to MONEY. That had nothing to do with him being smart or NOT.
Even with that monetary aid, that fragile made-up life got utterly shattered in less than 1 year due to his complete lack of common sense. *In what world, a sane individual, living with a borrowed identity, would leave behind a duffle bag full with his personal identifiable items... and never once, thought of retrieving them...?
Except for his calm and rather impressive reaction to his little girl’s pre-school incident in the beginning episodes... 99.9% of the things that he did afterwards were downright idiotic. I do understand that his character was not a superhero one; however good grief, I found him weak and unimpressive.
This is simply my own point of view. Fyi: An all-time classic borrowed-identity-portrayal from Lee Joon-gi is “Time Between Dog and Wolf.” Now, that was some darned impressive writing!
I was so exhilarated about the official title when I read the premise that my expectations utterly repudiated the characters’ depictions.
I could not relate to any of the characters. Their obvious shortcomings could not surpass my expectations.
I love multy-layers characters’ depictions, such as: - Beautiful Mind - Hello Monster - Come and Hug me - Born Again - He is Psychometric (Again, another one for which; I have never understood the popularity and the high rating but I loved the older brother’s depiction)
Usually, I enjoy Lee Joon Gi’s acting but not this one.
Apparently, a lot of viewers loved it. I, myself, I must admit that I did not find anything special about the drama. However, you should try it. You might like it, contrarily to me.
Wew I saw this comment of yours weeks ago. Looks like you're posting your insight of yours persistently as a propaganda…
Weeks ago? I just finally completed that drama less than a week ago.
I don’t know what more amusing... your insidious inclination to read my comment or your childish rhetoric...

I feel you. I, myself...I-Land was my first survival Korean show that I got fully immersed and integrated into.…
I agree, I agree and I agree! K and Jay were always my top favorites.
I will try your suggestion and see. However as of now, I am truly disenchanted with their selection process. And I have no intention on watching their next season... Darned, I didn’t even watch the last episode of the last season.
I really, really, really wanted to love this drama but I just can’t. - The Do Hyun Soo’s character aka “Faked Baek Hee Seong” is too weak for my liking. And at times, he seems too unaware and too slow-minded. Dude leaves bread crumbs everywhere as if he is leaving his own business cards so anyone with half of a brain can find him... - The detective Cha’s character aka “The Wife” was too intrusive with her forcefulness at the beginning for me. And her perpetual childish tantrums are so very irritable. - That sister’s childhood love interest aka “The Dumb Reporter...” Are we supposed to feel some kind of attachment to a character who used to cruelly bully her younger brother because “He was abnormal...”? - Stupidity runs in that family! The younger brother does not suffer from anti-social disorder and the older sister does not suffer from PTSD... They both suffer from brain damage. For the life of me, I can not relate to their characters; they both annoy me more than I sympathize with them. I am not understanding the high rating. Coming from a Francophone background and education, I was expecting some kind of familiarity to “Les Fleurs Du Mal par Charles Baudelaire” or even Dexter: the American series... That’s not it. I am really not getting the high rating. There is literally no character that I have any attachment to in this drama. Although the storyline is interesting...
*I can not jump on that bandwagon like everyone else.
I am more worrying about Arthur. Based on his last project, my baby-boy needs so much tuning and improvements:(
I will be so pissed if they f... it up!
They had a great predecessor to reference to, “The Untamed.”
And where can I get my hand on one?
In blue!
And finally, they gave him a beautiful flowing wig to wear.
That had nothing to do with him being smart or NOT.
Even with that monetary aid, that fragile made-up life got utterly shattered in less than 1 year due to his complete lack of common sense.

Sorry about that.
That was what you WANTED!
Some people just love to be heard. It makes them feel important.
It is called Histrionic Personality Disorder.
Good riddance to bad rubbish!!!
Sure...
Specifically, this exact one...
Sure...
I am Chrysippus of Soli; I am dying of laughter, here. Hahaha!
So so amusing!
Then what would be the point for this illiterate and absurd retort.
Seriously, move on or go read a book...
My suggestion is Les Fleurs Du Mal par Charles Baudelaire.
You are indeed obsessed with my comment.
I am actually wondering if you are criticizing it or rather enjoying it...?

That high rating is crazy.
That drama’s popularity is crazy.
I have always loved Lee Joon Gi’s acting skills but there was nothing amazing about that performance.
That was just an average kdrama.
