This first episode of You Are My Glory reminds me of Love Scenery; which, I unexpectedly very much enjoyed watching. If it is anything like Love Scenery, it will be a beautiful love story with a hint of E-sports… With a knowledgeable and an experienced leading cast, D. and Yang Yang… What not to love. They definitely piqued my interest with this first episode.
PS: D. in her gown… What an entrance into the show…
When I first saw a poster for it in which the FL is holding the ML's lapel, leaning back, wearing a red dress,…
Sorry. I totally did not get that anorexic vibe… The two of you are talking about. For me, she looks just fine. As for her character, watching her eating intakes and constantly exercising were parts of her job to keep her image as an entertainer. I did not find anything wrong with that.
As I said before, I have seen way skinnier actresses and actors; to the point it feels that they might break their limbs at any slight movement of the wind. Her dynamic during the game scenes showed the difference.
I truly missed watching Yeon Woo Jin as a first male lead actor. I really wish to see him in a modern packed-action drama; as I have seen glimpses of his action skills and abilities in Undercover and in Search. As I have said many times before, Yeon Woo Jin is one of the most underrated Korean actor in the Korean film industry.
In the end, I honestly, essentially and sincerely hated the writing behind that drama. The writer made every single character so distasteful for so many episodes that when they finally changed for the best with some character developments and growths… It was just too late for me to change my perceptions of them. I honestly pitied Hwan Gi for being an extreme introvert; however, his scapegoat/martyr personality was a turn off for me.
I came back to finish that drama because I truly missed watching Yeon Woo Jin as a first male lead actor. I really wish to see him in a modern packed-action drama; as I have seen glimpses of his action skills and abilities in Undercover and in Search. Agreed. This one was not good. Cross Fire remains supreme.
Misunderstandings and love triangles are part of DramaLand’s generic formula. There is absolutely nothing that can be done about them. What I am talking about are their romantic interludes in Gank Your Heart… They were cheesy but they were not as cringe as in FIYS.
As for Cross Fire… That is a whole different level😉. These child-plays can not come even close. Cross Fire is adult levels’ production, in terms of romance and gaming scenes.
As for the rest of your comment, “So no even cross fire is much better drama and romance scene than gank your heart.” I am sorry; I didn’t quite understand it.
Agreed. This one was not good. Cross Fire remains supreme.
My thing is… Hmmmmm… I did not like the romance neither. The only thing that I liked about it was the script. With better directing and a better experienced cast; this drama could have been glorious. I do rank FIYS same as Gank Your Heart. But at least in Gank Your Heart, I did appreciate the romance. It was definitely cheesy but the main leads did a better job.
Agreed. This one was not good. Cross Fire remains supreme.
Hmmmmm… I was taught to never leave things unsaid😉😉 Anyway, more than hating a drama… Some people come on this platform to share their anguish and disappointment when their favorite actors or actresses come short of their expectations. As for me and the other viewers who share the same opinions, we waited 1 to 2 years to watch XuXu play in a contemporary drama that happens to be one of our favorite genres, E-sports… Just to watch a mediocre finished product.
So yes, we definitely take time to come here in order to exchange our disappointments. And yes, these kinds of end results do definitely leave an impression… Complete disappointment.
Agreed. This one was not good. Cross Fire remains supreme.
Where exactly it is written that this platform is solely for viewers who like a drama🤨?
This platform is for all viewers who want to share their views, whether they are favorable or not. Therefore, I am more confused about your statement. However, not that curious for an answer🤣🤣🤣.
Ahhhh… Now, I remember why I dropped this drama years ago when it first aired. I came back to see if I could continue on because I am a fan of Yeon Woo Jin and I think that he is greatly underrated in the Korean film industry; however, the FL turns me off right away, just as before. Eun Hwan Kim’s supposedly best friend and co-CEO is another character that feels shady right from the start.
Agreed. This one was not good. Cross Fire remains supreme.
True. No worries… I dropped it half-way through. I did not waste too much time on it. Come to think of it, this is the very first esports drama that I ever dropped. With XuXu, one of my favorite actor, in it… at that. Sorry XuXu😞
Agreed. This one was not good. Cross Fire remains supreme.
Falling Into Your Smile’s high ratings are simply ludicrous. Just abysmal! FIYS is another perfect example of how a vast fanbase can make a mediocre drama popular with exaggerated high ratings.
I just wonder why this exact scenario did not happen to Legend of Awakening…?
Depends, atleast for me this drama and acting is not that good. My honest opinion watch it yourself and determine.…
Not just Leo Wu… You will be definitely surprised by Lu Han. I used to call him the “Chinese Flower Boy.” Never again, will I call him that after Cross Fire. And Dai Lu Wa, the young actress who plays Leo’s love interest was just delightful. This is how one should play a female lead in an esports drama!
How is it petty to want to support the actual creators? If you got robbed out of your ideas you would be petty…
I am a straight bullet… You will get no BS from me. If it’s good; I will definitely praise you. If it’s bad; I have no problem to let you know. FIYS is bad in most parts. The game scenes are ludicrous, the romance is emotionless, cliché and cringe, the supporting casts are not funny, the jokes are lame and the Korean over-dubbings are ridiculously unsynchronized.
The only thing that I like about it is the storyline. With better directing and a more experienced cast… The script (Plagiarized or not) could have been great.

For me, the best esports drama still remains Cross Fire. The romance story in The King’s Avatar was not good but the game scenes were perfection. The third one with a nice balance and unexpectedly rather good is Love Scenery.
Sorry, just as Falling Into Your Smile… Gank Your Heart is just not my cup of tea or coffee😅

I discuss with viewers who have the same opinions as mines on this subject.
I refrain myself from addressing viewers who have dissimilar views.
You should do the same. It will save you energy.

The gaming side as well as the romance side are equally ludicrous and cringe, to us.
Just abysmal!

It is Dai Lu Wa.
That young actress has some great acting skills. I have been following her, ever since.
This is a mediocre esports drama that is rising in popularity solely because of its massive idol-fanbase.
You will be definitely surprised by Lu Han.
