Fist, let me address the humongous elephant in the room: How did that Japanese production get away with using a famous piece of ancient China history - Qin dynasty during the Seven Warring States period (Even before China was China)…? I would have imagined that the Netizens would have gone crazy if their most famous and their most hateful-ancient invaders use their history in a Japanese Manga adaptation…?
*Besides these 2 baffling questions and the obvious Japanese cast, it was a very enjoyable movie. I will definitely watch it if they make a sequel.
Great movie series. My favorite installment among of all five has to be… Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning. In there, Hitokiri Battousai/Himura Kenshin really acts like, I imagine a Samurai assassin would act during those gruesome and civil unrest Japanese eras… Dark, somber and stoic. The choreographed fighting sequences in all five installments are exemplary. I have only seen these types of fighting sequences of these magnitudes in Ever Night season 1 and in Six Flying Dragons.
Not to be controversial but it's nice to see all the valid criticism being accepted in these comments unlike Falling…
Totally agreeing with your comment. FIYS’s wave of 10s across the rating boards is utterly ludicrous. Yes, it is not as bad as The Flaming Heart but still… Certainly and undeniably a disappointment.
“They say the ones who get interested late digs deepest.” And these are the actual biased and bigoted words coming out from a teacher’s mouth… A learned and considerate individual (Going by the standard teacher’s job description) who supposes to guide and support the younger generations.
*This is why the extreme bullying cultures in those schools are so atrocious and so incomprehensible. Partly, because of most of these teachers are not any better than the bullies, themselves.
PS: We all need a Shin Woo and a Shi Woon in our lives. Life would be so less cruel.
Gia Ge is one of the very few promising rookie actresses whom I had the pleasure to watch this year. More than often, we get those rookie female leads who make us wonder… “How the hell these girls got those leading roles…?” Well, Gia Ge is not one of them! Her acting skills are well-developed and are as expressive as one would expect from a veteran/seasoned actress. I am excited to follow her with her next projects.
Let me be straight. There is no universe in any of the multiverse out-there where I would be a cat person. I am a dog person through and through.
With that said… This little white kitty and this rookie actress have stolen my heart. Gia Ge perfectly portrayed that FL character. As for the ML… Let me just say; Gia Ge saved the drama. The writing behind his character was dull. His acting was dull. The actor, himself, was dull. I really did not find any real development with his character; other than, he was reacting to the FL’s charismatic dynamic. The interesting storyline about him being a legit writer, no longer a ghost writer, and taking his pen-name back from his conniving stepbrother just fell short and underutilized.
All and all, I watched Make a Wish for Gia Ge. One of the very few promising rookie actresses whom I had the pleasure to watch this year.
Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum are a perfect casting. I love when I get to enjoy a drama with lead actors and actresses whom I love.
PS: Too short. Way too short. The episodes should have been regular length. Why did they make the episodes so short with such an interesting storyline?
From what i heard (and read online) , they were interrupted by covid, and so the original cast wasnt able to go…
Ahhh… I see. Call me crazy but been quarantined for a long period of time should have given that writer more than enough time to improve the script. Whether with the original cast or the replaced one.
Let me get this straight… The gorgeous looking god of love never came back. And Latte still wearing the original Nite’s pendant, has moved on to some creepy guy who happened to have the same name… And call it coincidence; he is also into stones and their meanings🤨🤨🤨🤨.
This has to be one of the weirdest and most confusing BL drama that I ever watched. I think the writer behind this mess had a brain trauma while writing it.

Although, the FL was not a cute little puppy😞…
She still crushed it as a cute little kitty.
I did not care much for that ending… Whatsoever.

Gia Ge Stole The Show!

Someone with whom I can have a meaningful and insightful conversation with.
So very hot!

You need to stop referencing western actors…
It is not working🤣🤣🤣
Whatsoever!
It might be worse.
Leonardo DiCaprio is an antique🤣
