On a slightly unrelated note, I would like to add that JZ got injured a day prior to this scene, which is yesterday…
You've got me excited for Liu Hui lol, I think I might go and check out the original now 😂
From the dramas I've watched, JZ was always able to capture the essence of his characters really well, so I believe he'll be able to do the same here! Hope the script will live up to the original and I'm looking forward to everyone's performance!
Apparently Shuo Xun's a psychopathic villain? So they're probably gonna fight over the FL right? I think it'll be pretty interesting + it'll be great eye candy hehehe~~
Lol rly sorry but you spelt his name wrong twice, it's 'Joseph', though I admit Joshep sounds a little cute 😂ANYWAYS…
Lol it's okay! I'm always happy to see a fan, there's no reason for me to be mad 😂
They do have stuntmen, but in that scene they needed him to show his face so they can't use a stuntman 😭
And with how Joseph Zeng is, he would want everything to be as realistic as possible so he tries not to use a stuntment to the best of his abilities.
Recently when he was filming Gu Zhou, there was a scene where he had to jump down a bridge and land on a boat passing by. He didn't have to show his face so the director wanted to use a stuntmen but he insisted on doing it himself.
The lengths he goes through to become his character is really impressive and respectable, and a little scary too.
He's really suffered through every role he's acted in, but I feel like that's part of the reason why he can act so well, because he really tries to live as the character through acting every scene out personally, and as close to what the character's actually experiencing. Here's some of the shit he went through:
Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre: Cut his finger while fighting and had to get 5 stitches. Got a neck injury, which kind of still affects him sometimes.
Heroes: Hung off a cliff tall ass cliff using a crane operator... and went through this https://weibo.com/5626706435/4772642433010542 torture looking thing... there was also a scene where he was supposed to get stepped on the chest, but he volunteered to get stepped on the face instead because it would convey the message better... https://weibo.com/5252664921/4940477608496236
Ultimate note: Got bitten by a bug and his legs got so swollen they could only use a knife and let out blood to try and reduce the swell...
Mysterious Lotus Casebook: He fell sick with a high fever the moment he entered the set (which prompted everyone to change his name from Fang Duobing to Fang Xiaobao because Duobing means "many illnesses".) Unfortunately there was no time for him to recover and he had to take handful of pills to push on and continue filming the fights.
Making things worse he was cyberbullied for a really long time (partly due to his big eyes and his disgusting previous company, which is a whole other can of worms 🫠). Yet he always thinks to comfort his fans first, saying that he's okay. After he finally won the lawsuit against his previous company, all he said was "thank you".
In his interviews he always says that he's thankful to be able to have a career in something he's passionate about, and that he's lucky to be an actor. The fact that he's able to say something like this after all he went through is what makes me really like him, because I really don't think I'd be able to persevere if I were him.
"If you have a dream, chase it."
If you(or anyone else) actually read this far, thank you, and I hope that you'll continue to support him and check on his future dramas.
Anyways, his choice of dramas have always been great and his performance never disappoints.
I really hope he doesn't push himself too hard, he's always been someone who reports happy news but never sad ones 😭😭😭😭
When I heard he wasn't able to take part in the celebration I was honestly disappointed but sort of accepted it, cuz he wasn't able to go for LHL's livestream either 😢, and was only able to call in the little spare time he had doing his makeup. But when I saw that he got injured in the process I just became frigging sad 😭
To make things worse, after he got injured he was called back to film the rest of the scenes he missed... he was injured at 4pm, and he returned at 7pm and continued until 10pm...
NEVER DOUBT HIS PASSION FOR ACTING.
He's such a nice person, a hardworking actor, but my heart really breaks for him. 🫠🫠🫠🫠
To wipe away all the negative energy, come have a peek at our emperor Liu Hui in action!!! https://weibo.com/5252664921/4940848535962558
On a slightly unrelated note, I would like to add that JZ got injured a day prior to this scene, which is yesterday as of this post. (He almost fell off the bridge they were filming on, I'm not gonna go into details here. He keeps saying he's okay but he literally limped onto the set 😭)
Seeing him film these action scenes without given any time to rest is borderline painful. He's beautiful as always but my heart is in smithereens.
PLEASE, as viewers, just show your love and support for all these actors. They work really hard. 😭😭😭
He performed really well in Mysterious Lotus Casebook!! Also loved him in 'The Journey Across the Night' and 'Ultimate Note'. Looking forward to more of his works!

No safety equiment or anything, but he still went for it and took the scene multiple times 😭
And it was high up too...

ALSO LINE WALKER 3!! He can kill me with his eyes in that drama wwwww. He's sooo versatile.
His portfolio is actually pretty stacked, he has so many great dramas.
Not to mention he has three shows lined up waiting to air at the end of the year/2024:
Gu Zhou
Romance on the Farm
The Legend of Rosy Clouds
ANYWAYS He limped onto set today and is still filming action scenes as usual 🫠
