Well isn't that what Xuanhuan is partly about? It's a genre... if it's not liked it should be avoided lol :))…
Xuanhuan is not just a mix between Wuxia and Xianxia, it also can have a modern element such as time travel, it's not mainly based on Taoism, and it has western influences such as magic/witches or creatures such as mermaids, vampires, werewolves, unicorns and so on. So it almost guarantees as u mentioned a lot of fantasy and humanoid creatures in relationships (like in this one, an immortal 9-tailed fox and a merman, both mythological creatures). I don't mind you thinking it's absurd I was just saying that the genre guarantees that type of story... ooo yes, I just remembered I also saw plant humanoid creatures :) I studied a bit about the characteristics of the 3 genres because I noticed some did not know the differences and ended up not enjoying the projects because of different expectations. Like wuxia has martial arts but no multiple worlds and supernatural creatures, while xianxia has all that. Some people don't like martial arts mixed with supernatural creatures, but the genres are still not updated on this site, you can only find them as tags, so some could be confused about what to expect. As for this project, I did like it because I enjoy projects like Eternal Love, with relationships full of mythology :) I think they are fun, I also like the costumes :)
No, not normal :)) but since this one has as an original source a BL... and China banned anything similar, this…
I knew when they made a new trailer that they changed the story and even the soundtrack , so I kind of lowered my expectations. After waiting from 2017 I was curious, the acting was ok but the story turned out so melodramatic, I rolled my eyes a few times and I felt frustrated, I finished the drama, was ok for one watch but that is it. The plot holes made the drama have a lower level. I guess it was expected after they had to reedit everything, for it to be allowed to air. I gave it a high score because I waited for it so much but compared to other stories it's not the best.
but you know right that in China men had more wives? They were not monogamous ... so being flirty with women kind…
He is young, and he was more attracted by that calligraphy addict because of the similarities and because she was more a woman compared to Sang Sang, but in season 2 he did no such thing, as it was a closure for the other female characters, he wanted Sang Sang back and he did not mind suffering and proving himself to the heavenly daughter. Also in changing there is a process, it takes time.
I really liked this drama and didn't mind Ning Que and Sang Sang to be lovers since when he first found her, they…
but you know right that in China men had more wives? They were not monogamous ... so being flirty with women kind of fits these hormonal teen years and the idea that he did not see Sang Sang as a woman when she was a kid... he looked at girls his own age :)
They gave Ning Que a Dissociative identity disorder (DID) 🤣🤣🤣. He had one distinctive persona in season…
No, they did not change the personality at all, in season 1 they respected the personality in the book (only that in the book the male lead is a guy from present-day stuck in that ancient world, so he is a good fighter, arrogant, does not get attached to anyone, is a bit disrespectful, irresponsible and a bit superficial, but there is a huge change in season 2, he matures and his character had development. After being unafraid in season one, he gets slapped at the end (and season 2) by life, when he goes against god-level people that he is not strong enough to fight, it's a reality check... and not only that, the only person he is close to him almost dies because of him... He becomes more "human". In season one he was the so-called rumored bad child but in season 2 the person he wants to protect is the hunted one. There is also an interesting change or a misdirect in season 2 because in the book Sang Sang is set up/cursed by the bad guy, she is not actually the child that will bring "Ever Night", she is actually the heavenly daughter... and on their journey, she is moved by the connection between the 2. She is actually very strong, but in the series, they kept "the cold" as a thing even after the bad guy died... they kept saying she is the bad girl... In conclusion in the second season Ning Que has character development and matures, he is also on the run, from god-like enemies, he did not become weaker, his enemies are just way stronger and for the first time, he feels like he has something to lose.
Is there Ever Night Season 3 or the want to drag the drama in cliffhanger like Princess Agent
In the beginning it was a 3 season project, with the third season planed for 2023, all 3 season scripts done, but now I don't know since "fans sabotaged" the second season... Normally season 2 was a character development and growth season and it generally matched the book, they made a few changed but the idea was kind of similar... I loved how the 2 main girls in his life were constructed in antitheses both for personality and physical traits, and I loved how the main male character matured in the second season.
Does anyone know why the actor from season 1 didn't star in season 2? Just curious.
If I remember correctly he had other projects already signed , so basically scheduling conflict, and in the comment section of the article people hope he could come back for season 3 of Ever Night :)), that was rumored to be planed for 2023... I am curious if they will make it or not, they already had the script from the beginning.
No, not normal :)) but since this one has as an original source a BL... and China banned anything similar, this…
From the start they had the project planned out for 3 seasons, the first season= the into of the book, the second season = was the middle and the third one should be the ending, they had 3 scripts done from the beginning. But I think they did not expect such huge success... so they wanted to immediately do the second one, some of the actors already had other projects signed so the process, to get new actors, was again long, it took them what 3 years? or 4 to finish and air the second one? and the third is the same because in China it was rumored for 2023... I will wait for 2023 and then go dig info on Chinese forums :))
Comes with the territory?! :)) I think as they are described the entire famly is strange and f-ed up... He according to how he was raised I mean he approached Chay because he was suspicious even if he is a child, in his head all people are fed up... and potential enemies:)) I found it funny how they " the mafia" randomly approach Porsche and his family first, but then they were suspicious as if they were trying to infiltrate their family first :))) because they would have 100% not have wanted in if they would have had other alternative to survive in the beginning :))
I think he is smart, and he kept his persona apart from his family life... he has been doing his own thing with a purpose and he has been investing with out problems, because he is not a target. :)
