Could you please tell me what is the story about? The description above is far to unclear to decide watching the drama or not.

I really like this drama, mostly for the chemistry of the leads, its sizzling and convicing. As for the stories, I can really be objective because I have only watched them raw with my very very limited mandarin, therefore I'm always confused. Lol. Could you guys please answer my question:

1. Why did SF betray HL? For what reason?

2. Did XY already knew the real identity of SF from the begining?

3. Why did HL pretends to be mentally ill/amnesiac?

4. Why did XY suddenly marries HL when she was (pretending to be) mentally ill

I wonder what will be the reaction of the emperor, CPP and specially Fan Jian, Fei Jie and and uncle Wu Zhu when they learn that FX has been stabbed?

They said that CPP is ruthless and cunning, but for me the emperor is the most ruthless and scheming of them all. He do not hesitate to used his sons as pawn in his power game. He deliberatly put his two sons head to head for his own check and balances in the power game. His uses FX, his son to gain secretive information from Xiao En even if it treatens his son life. And someone said He set up the situation for the assasination of his own wife (fx's mom) just after she gave birth to his son.

I mean the character of Heitang Dou Dou, she such as free spirited bad ass. The only female character that can male FX speechless and embarrased. Its the first time ever I'm have second (3rd, 4th ? LoL) female lead syndrome.

I frikin love Heitang Doudou! She deserve her own drama..

I'm on ep 40, and I'm confused is CPP evil or actually protecting FX?
I saw a clip of ep. 42 where FX adoptive father ask CPP if CPP had to choose between nanqing and FX what would he choose, and he seems to choose nanqing? So he only uses FX to fulfill his ambition?
Who is someone in the imperial court thats planning to revolt with grand princess? My suspicion is the 2nd prince.

She is! And even FX seems fascinated by her, he always tease and act shameless towards her.

Whats the reason for the emperor to kill his own wife? He doesnt love FX mom? Or FX mom have become too powerful?

Yess.... I thought JoF will be like other C drama where they already shoot all the content then split it into seasons. But sadly they are not.. how am I supposed to wait.. hiks

I'm on episode 36, but, can't phantom how after this season finish, I can handle the fact that I have to wait another year for the sequel.. oh no!

My problem with the drama despite the wonderful wardrobe and cinematography, is in the story telling itself it lackluster and all over the place, but what bother me the most is how weak and unprepared the main leads side/party against the schemes of the evil princes and step sister. It seems that they always on the defence, and never try to strike or retaliate the evil schemes. They let themselves be dragged in all sort of problems over and over again without any means to predict the other parties next moves will be. And the say 4th and 13th prince supposed to be smart and capable.
It so frustrating to watch.
