Maybe yes but I think it depends...most dramas I liked I liked from the start in a way, there were also those I liked from the start bu then they turned out to have many flaws...I'l give this one a second try because it has an interesting premise, but they really need to execute it well to work...and solve some character issues and story progression. I loved Li Qin in The Wolf, I don't know how I like her in a...comedy, I guess, for now

Okay, I may give it another try and see how the story progresses...They should have made their pilot a strong one, I dont kniw why they didnt bother, maybe because they know they have idols in the drama and dont care to present a higher quality....we'll see

I struggle to finish the second episode - it's very draggy and boring. I really like Li Qin and want to continue for her but.... The character of Ren Jialun is completely devoid of emotion and face expressions, it's like Im watching a block of wood, dont know if this series will turn out good...The trailer looked better

AoS reminded me a lot of most American teenage fantasy shows where the main hero is a young boy who learns he can save the world and is the most important one because of...birth or something. It's for younger audience, it cant really hold my attention anymore...I ve seen that plotline soooo many times. I really don't like shows about teenage boys learning a out their abilities, especially when better characters are put to the side including the FL

Better story progression and character development (here especially better than IS) .
But Im a person who dropped both LLTG and IS - both too draggy for me and very slow, didnt capture my attention enough

Also the romance is exceptionally good, its a love story very well told without too much distraction and with a purpose that it achieved.

Im on episode 13...whyyy is thiis drama soo good and perfect and just....I can't!! Bai Lu and Luo Yun Xi seem like they dont even act here, theyre so natural!! I so rarely see this in a screen couple, this is over the top good chemistry, pure gold! ❤️❤️❤️

And, hinestly, isnt Bai Lu the Chinese Julia Roberts??? I see her even playing a version of Pretty Woman with Luo Yun Xi of course as Richard Gear lol she has Julia's vibe - the natural but still glamourus beauty
I just love her, this is officially the best and most talented Chinese actress for me, havent seen another perform like her. Maybe Li Qin and Ni Ni come second place but the charisma of Bai Lu is shiiining ✨ (aaand she's a Libra. Yes, of course shes a Libra , that charm is not lying 😂✨🤗)

I think his insecurities that he isnt loved and his childhood loneliness made him susceptible to the evil spirit(but thats only part of it). If he didnt have weaknesses the evil spirit wouldnt have a chance to take over.

After awhile it was not inly Tai Sui, lets not take away Rong Hao's responsibility in doing what he did, I think it was in him in the first place or else there would be a way for him to be helped but he continued with the obsession. He is a master manipulator, not only Tai Sui, because he so easily hid his desire for control over others behind the whole story about his shifu and behind all the different images of himself he so easily created to take what he wanted.

I am not entirely satisfied with his ending - his crimes were too big, he took away so many people's choices because he selfishly decided his choice and his cause is the "the purest" and "the most deserving". He even took away his master's choices and dignity - is this real love? I think he didnt have real pure love in him, he didnt understand how to really respect the other person, he was entirely obsessed by his own needs and thoughts, to the point of not bating an eye when disregarding others'.

So no, I dont think only Tai Sui is to blame , after a certain point the talented actor easily showed us that what Rong Hao was doing was part of him all along, that a person's selfish evil choice can be more dangerous and twisted than a demon's. The real demon was Rong Hao himself thats what I take from his story. Too bad all his victims, including our main leads, didnt have justice and he got to go the way he wanted to, something the people he killed couldn't have a say in when he took their lives

One thing I dont really agree with this drama is the way it dealt with two of the main villains - Rong Hao and the emperor(ignoring the bad happening can be the biggest evil, as the old saying goes) They created this complex characters but brushed their deeds off lightly. The emperor, who is responsible for almost anything that happened changed in a minute and it was okay? Its a little bit childish how they handled this, I guess its not the most serious show after all but come on, we are not kids, and even they have to learn what real "evil" actually looks like, that it hides behind words of "goodness" and "morality" and not that much behind a true evil spirit.

I remember we waited with excitement for the Mortal arc, we thought their relationship will develop then and the story would progress but the whole drama turned out to be one looong mortal arc with almost no romance and story progression.

Then we thought with part 2 the draggy Mortal arc will finally be over but no, it wasnt, the fillers continued. I am very disappointed with how things turned out. I commend Cheng Yi because he puts so much emotions in his scenes...

i know the story seemingly picked up now in the last episodes, haven't watched them because I haven't finished the Mortal realm part and am not ready to do it any time soon, i feel it as a heavy chore and not enjoyment. These good actors deserved more! Im starting to think one of the reasons they dragged the middle part is because they didnt have budget for special effects but like...the plot was also lacking, so were the interactions between the leads

Youre totally right about the chemistry the leads share! In the eps I watched is just.🔥..no wonder they casted them for another drama. Now, what they should do is cotinue casting them for romance dramas till they retire some day in the distant future 🙂 we will treat all of their dramas as reincarnations of their oldest story, probably TTETM

The ML character is still not to my liking not because of the actor but because of his behaviour and personality. I hope he changes in the following episodes, I read somewhere that he will...

But Luo Yunxi has that look when interacting with Bai Lu, an intense gaze and a whole aura to him that is so suitable for Tan Tai Jin. And Bai Lu will of course be amazing...I want their chemistry and talent to be made justice by the scriptwriters!!!
