my expectations were very high for this drama ( like the double or my journey to you..) but its not like any of…
Unfortunately agree. Nothing like those two dramas

Their visuals are amazing, especially ML(he reminds me here of the SML from Bloody Romance) but....so much missing in the plot and delivery. Good actors but underused, plot is beyond cliche and the part about ML being the shadow boss - forgotten forever,.maybe will resurface for a boring misunderstanding/brake up later (FL would be like "But how could you betray me and lie to meee" and thats it, that would be the whole point of that part of his identity, I suppose)

And crown prince is played like a cartoon evil character. Actor almost has it written on his forehead "evil guy" , that's how "subtle" his performance is lol

SML is such an annoying presence in this drama, so cliché...his bad acting doesn't help at all. Im on ep12, hope the plot picks up and leads have more interesting scenes. In the first two episodes ML.seemed.like a grey character, like someone with secrets and layers, now he doesnt seem so unique, I think it's the writing that's not doing plot points justice.

As if director threw intriguing parts to hook viewers at the start and then continued with not much development. The drama doesnt feel now like what it was hyped up to be before it came out or in the first two-three eps. I hope it changes

Ok plot sounds interesting. It reminds me of My Journey to You, the vibe is dark and mysterious as well
And the ML looks intense

It's really infuriating when she doesn't give proper rulings. I agree they deserve the punishment but her arrogance in court is insufferable. Give a justice according to law and then punish them, it's not like she cant make it so no one knows, even in prison. I hate those court scenes and how she doesnt care for the victims. Yes, she's a demon and that's why she should be able to do same thing she's doing even after proper ruling, justice should be served and I think the last sinner she would kill and send to hell is her own self for failing to understand that/her mission or something similar

This is so much like Mike Flanagan's The Fall of The House of Usher show from last year (based on Edgar Allan Poe's stories). And FL is similar like the character Verna there(the outstanding Carla Gugino <3 ) . All evil doers get what they deserve. That show had impeccable writing and acting, here the tone is different.
Normally not a fan of Park Shin Hye but let's see how it will continue.

Sorry to say this but having watched 7 episodes it's time I drop this. This is a very low quality drama - both bad empty script and bad , lazy acting and no character development (except for second couple - they have realistic and more interesting growth)
Main leads have the SAME scene every episode more than one time - they always have to talk it out how they should stop this, already broke up 10000th times woth same lines and tone, it's beyond repetitive, literally doing nothing else (ahe says "leave me alone", he answers "how.can i do this" - an this is from first ep till now, non stop same thing, not even the slightest promise of new plotline). Their characters are not developing in any different direction and their motives are unclear. Especially FL is very badly written but probably both are. For me Shin Hyun Been is not a good actress here. Her way of.delivering her lines is so flat, having the same confused emotion on her face and her dramatic scenes become so fake - especially by the end of last episode it was the same annoying "outburst" yet again, partly bad because of lazy repetitive writing, partly her way of acting. Just so unnatural and forced. Her monotonous voice doesnt help at all.

This drama cant decide what genre it is and what story wants to tell. Better it sticks to a lighter theme because the writing is too lazy and shallow for the darker dramatic tones it often has with FL on screen.

Except for second couple story I cant say a single good thing unfortunately , future watchers, beware

gosh I hate that trope so much. Something much more lovely about new love than old love. Especially when they…
Yes, so much nore lovely and real and human!

And I dont even like child actors in such scenes...It's.Not.Even
Cute.
Not everyone likes little kids and sometimes they make them so unrealistic with behaviour of adults, probably thinking audience finds it adorable. No.NO.not me.
I think children can have crushes and even "first love" from a certain point but FOR a CHANGE , if they so want kids love in the show - how about the children in love are not both the leads and that "love" is not fateful for them?? And on of them is never shown as an adult, just a chdbood memory with no consequence, haha Never.To.Be.Seen.Again and it's revealed in the last episode that the love of FL from childhood is not actually current-day ML but she chooses the adult "stranger" and the child-love is forever foregotten hahahahah how bout that, Kdrama writers, do you dare?

Title No Gain, No Love Spoiler
I wouldn't be too sure, I'm pretty positive ML was a foster kid of FLs mom at one point from what they've been…
Staaaaaaahpppp, noooooooooo 😭😭😭 I really hope it doesnt happen that way
On No Gain, No Love Aug 28, 2024
Because of the age gap I guess, the ML and FL haven't met as kids - finally a way exists for this tiring trope to disappear. Im glad, Im happy, I shall REJOICE. The moment two people of same age appear the childhood love thing is apparently a must.
At last that cliche is beaten - I hope Good (storytelling) prevails and our victory is forever! Let the characters choose who they fall in love with, give them the power of consent and make them whole again, thanx (Amin)

I like characters that can own up to their decisions and actions, whatever they may be. That boy hasn't had enough good scenes even to.call.him a complex character yet, in fact none of them had except ML and that other guy (unfortunately)

Don't agree that Situ is right to keep it a secret, for sure not for the reasons he gives - if he even gave any good reason.

Ep 13, why is SZH so angry towards Situ Wei Lian? Didn’t he want to find him? And even he is angry at SiTu’s…
How did it not make sense? 😭 That "brother" is a pathological.liar continuing to make excuses to save face, I would cut all contact with such a person too. He is neither his brother nor is qualified to be a friend, his actions are not justified - why was he "afraid" to say it to him? Is fear enough a reason to continue lying for such a long time, like really cause I think it sure isn't if you have some.decency.

Also ML.was.righht - Situ just didn't know tha the train kidnapping was a life or death situation? He just likes being a clown and staying outside of it when he could have helped? And Situ feigns ignorance as if anyone would believe him. For what reason was he with his brother all those years then - for laughs and giggles? He actually said, I think, that he forgot that he had to say he was his brother after some time? Omg 🤣

He pissed me off with his childish words, deceitful actions and the out-of-place stupid smile in every scene he is in. I didn't expect him to have the audacity to say those things - ML is right, he is no true brother of his

The premise and the first episode is interesting enough but someone needs to tell romance kdrama writers that…
Not just recent dramas... it's in every drama ever. Childhood stories are always boring, sorry child actors - Im just not interested in your filler scenes like... ever. That fate thing is supposed to be cute and all but it became soooo cliche, like can't even describe how overused it is.

Relationship is much stronger if started and built by conscious choice between two adults with stories and personalities...the moment childhood fate comes up it actually diminishes its importance, it cheapens it, as if it can be anyone if you have liked them as a kid...so what's the point of your story together when you're grown up, just get married when you meet later then - drama plot should be for two adults getting to.know each other of their own accord, in spite of their differences and even because of.them. Childhood buddies can stay in separate dramas with no story lines

Same scenes and situations AGAIN. Is the whole premise of the story the ML hiding who he is and constantly getting chased? Why not have mystery and some fantasy action instead of boring mortal policemen following him around?!?....He should be the powerful "vampire" playing them other characters and having interesting stories abd yet he always is getting caught and put in prison by the SAME guy. It's very repetitive. What about rhe relationship between him and the blind girl?

And don't get me started on the blunt-bangs vampire-wanna be that is getting her own theme.song while walking and being lame and annoying. It's the ML that's supposed to chase them, not the other way around! Stop those unnecessary moral dilemmas and fix his character

What FL has for ML is just a mere crush. She doesn't love him at all. She has zero trust in him, without even…
Exactly, she better suited to another adult child like her(or even better - no relationship at all if she wants to keep secrets and always present a fake "perfect" image, always on her own terms and never considering the other side), ML is too good for her at this point
On Miss Night and Day Jul 28, 2024
The way MJ reacted to the situation this episode with her parents and JU almost finding out was sooooo annoying. How many times she can stand in front of JU and.just cry and say nothing...so disrespectful and childish and stupid. What she has to loose if she's honest to the guy she's supposedly trying to build a relationship with? Certainly she's loosing trust quicker when she hides. Her character is so...badly written, both her versions
