I think Mydranalist users are pretty generous as a whole though 😀 If someone enjoys the drama and loves the actors - "omg, its a 10 !!". Here ratings are so high for everything, no critical thinking, no objectivity, just pure teenage obsession sometimes.

Sites lime IMDB and probably Douban are a lot more realistic. Do you know what a 10 is? Absolute perfection on an international cinema level, almost no Cdrama has reached this. I am all for being generous and have given this 9.5 but other dramas that are not as good as Shen Li people also give them 10 and it's just...not serious, like come on , we should have some standards. Yes, 10 is not Oscar worthy here hah but average shouldnt be an 8, average for me is 5-6. And yet when users here think average they give an 8 and think it's low, hoooow it's low 🤣, it's two numbers to 10, which should be where art masterpieces that can be shown on international festivals are ,😆

but yes, I have adjusted to Mydramalist with years, still wouldn't give a 10 for anything, I wish but nah...when Chinese censorship ceases to exist and we get complete artistic expression geared toeards more mature audience, then I would consider a 10. Some say to rate based on what the production strived to be but for me personally, no,.I prefer rating based on quality as a whole - if it's a not so serious plot that has no ambition to be something more, well their problem - it should have reached to be 😆

I always thought he knew he loved ved her from earlier but recused to say it and when she perished is just when he told it out loud and was more expressive. I never thought for a second he didnt know that earlier, he knew thats why he behaved restrained. He just didnt know what it feels like to loose someone you love ,and he has realised he liked her since mortal realm in the beginning

Not so light hearted I think😔 there were some tragic and seriously well acted scenes and quite a lot of deaths going on BUT yes, just that - temporary hard moments that were followed by a very happy ending 💖 Still, some episodes were for crying

Strated Blossoms in Adversity but its not doing it for me - it's not anywhere near as engaging and the actors dont deliver the fire chemistry we had here, they're also not mature actors - sooo far from the level these two spoiled me with.....
I wish another big drama comes out soon...Im watching Queen of Tears from the Kdramas, its ok

Dilraba painfully beautiful as always ✨❤️ The plot sounds interesting and different, hope it's well directed - I trust both actors but many dramas struggle with consistency, may this one be ane exception hah

What are you favourite osts? I looooove "Not Knowing to Turn Back" by Wang Heye. When that song goes I know the emotions are coming, its so beautiful abd powerful. They played it when he froze the sea and I think in ep38 - two of the strongest scenes - so painful yet so magical when the music just plays on your heart strings🥺❤️
Close second is "Blazing Heart" by Curley Gao - most notably played at the scebe in Western garden, when he walks with her in his hands, fire behind their backs and when SL fell in the sea 🥺

I vote for the detective one but make him have a dark past or ....he is a big international mafia boss abd she is an undercover agent, pretending to infiltrate the underworld and his close circle in particular. Chinese censors would say no, ofc 😭 I want twists and turns and grey characters and forbidden fruits 😌😄

Yeah, she does seem to be that height (1,65) now that I look at her pictures - she just has a delicate body structure so it makes her look tinier than she is.

I just checked and found that that Zhao LinYing is a actually not short as I thought she was - she is 1,65 which is an average height, it's just that she's quite slim and Ling Geng Xin is quite tall (1,86 m) hah

Just watch it without looking for opinions or reassurance - you wont need it with this drama if you immerse yourself in the experience and forget what xianxias is, what a Cdrama is and all their images and stereotypes. Watch it as if you're a child thats seeing a fairytale on a big screen for the first time and you have nothing else to compare it to and it turns to a core brain memory.
That feeling of being part of another world -this drama can do it for anyone if you stay away from platforms as Mydranalist for a while, even if it is just to read positive comments or discuss - even that takes away from the enchantment. Completely romanticise this series and you watching it, trust me you wont regret.

Yes, patience hah When I started watching I also didnt know anything and made it a rule for myself to not come here to spoil myself so I watched it on my own without knowing anything.

Everything in the drama was a surprise and always unexpected, it was so enjoyable. So an advice - stay away from Mydramalist until you finish the drama. I came here I think only for the last five eps vut they weren't released - if they were, I would wait even longer. I didnt even want to discuss, I was so invested in the actual thing and didnt feel curious about anything , just enjoyed being in another world by myself, not knowing if the drama is popular or what is happening, complete immersion😍

Gone are the days of the ancient monk god🤣🤣🤣 👌🏼 Chinese censors for sure passed this drama, 100% it was broadcast behind everyone's backs - hope it's always like that in the future
