Since last ep I really think he did actually save her from the fire. She lied now but it would turn out it's not actually a lie. He didn't return to the happy noment of his daughter's birth but to save FL - not his colleague like he thought. He doesnt return to the past for the happy moments but to save someone.

Maybe there were instances of him returning for happy moments vut that was before FL was born, he was a little kid then and she didnt exist yet.

What an absolute waste of time, unfortunately 😞 By the end I started skipping all the scenes that didnt include the second leads because their story is the only one I could be invested in in this drama with real chemistry and...for what...? A horrible ending. After leaving the series for quite some and rhen returning to watch the only interesting thing about it - the second couple - I am sooo disappointed! If I knew I wouldn't have wasted my time.

Ive watched the lead actors in other things but here they just...didnt work well together, no chemistry between them which I didnt expect. Story lost its spark even in the first episodes then regained it sometime in the middle but then it continued being mediocre...by the end I wasnt willing to pay attention.

Isn't the title a little weird, it doesnt sound good in English...like, it's too long. Fox Spirit would have been enough, the matchmaker part sounds like a comedy title. I think Fox spirit - The Red Moon would have been mich nicer sounding, current one seems straight from Google translate 😅.
In English language, and not only, such long titles look like random words put together without coherent meaning. But it's not the first time that Chinese titles are translated funny like that...

That was such a strong moment, those words and his delivery - it was gut-wrenching. I could feel his enormous regret saying that to his dead love, nust have crushed him to realize he could never say it to her face. It was sooo sad 😢

Why nonsense 😭 My opinion may be vastly differing from many people here but I will always appreciate feminine women who let their men be full on in masculine mode which ofc includes caring for their lady, their princess 😍 So while I love how caring and protective Xin Zhi is, I cant say the way the character of Shen Li is created is to my liking. You dont have to save the world and prove anything and I like that he told her thats it's ok to be a girl and let him take care of her.
Im not a fan of women acting tough and have more traditional values so I guess on this platform people with my view are not that many but when a female character behaves tough and manly everyone praises her and says she's strong and independent "for a change" - to me she looks unhealed hah I normally prefer female characters that dont shy away from their feminity and when the ML saves the day is such a prescious moment in my eyes , it would never be cliche or unneeded, it always gives me butterflies 😍

Maybe today some view certain behaviour as passive and thus bad but I view toughness as more negative , as actually fake strength that hides past wounds. It's rather offe sice sometimes how women call more girly feninine expressions of other women as weak or "outdated". Femininity would never be outdated , it's divine to me, independence is not all that - it's so rare to see FLs depending on the ML, just letting go and accepting him being the man , there is literally nothing wrong with that and it's quickly disappearing from dramas. Today in every drama the woman has to act as if she doesn't need the man, as if her finding love is never on her book and she cant be strong in her own way while at the same time being soft and in love 😔 and it's same in real life, so much stigma to being a feminine lady when it's sooo beautiful and powerful and amazing. Wish Shen Li was written a little different actually because I think the Cdrama world is FULL to the brim with female characters similar to hers

He did say once " I regret it Shen Li, I like you" after freezing the sea and remembering parting ways with her

I havent tried Under the Skin, will check out! Tan Jian Ci is certainly my favourite in LYF

Hah I remember suffering through The Last Immortal, it was painful watching that covertly narcissistic ML fail at everything Xing Zhi suceeded to be here 😅

Queen of Tears became tiring for me too, plot really became boring and no chemistry even though the actors are good, something about the writing of their characters is off, no soul

Doctor Slum I dropped unfortunately - the beginning was very good but with time it be ame quite a bore so I lost all interest, I will probably never return

ALP - not going to even start watching it due to reasons, it's not my thing

WOL I paused two eps before endinf....I couldnt quite get into the romance between the main leads, it was endless talking and the story started slowing down, I like one character there but got spoiled so no reason to continue knowing what will happen

So thankful for TLOSL, because good dramas that I enjoy till the end are soooo rare and this had many quality elements going for it

That's a good idea I guess...but unfortunately, LYF2 will have a tragic ending for me so Im not at all excited to watch it, I dont like the ML she chose and the second season will give me a major heartbreak due to a particular reason I got spoiled about, Im not sure I can even watch it even. So I guess Im expecting the series of fox 🦊 dramas lol

And yes, get you, I also had slumps like this and they're frustrating because watching (good) dramas is part of my weekday evening mental health routine, like one of my prescious hobbies ...and yet Im not watching anything right now. I cant even pass the time with the other dramas because they're not that good, they're mediocre. Ugh, it's probably part obsession - we got our dopamine levels so high and now we're experiencing the repercussions of that taken away hah

That avalanche, where it issss???? No release date for anything, those dramas are talked about since ages and yet nothing. I just want a big fantasy/historical drama with a lot of romance and I would be content at least

Nothing to watch now 😭 I thought In Blossom or Blossoms in Adversity could fill the gap but they just dont - I think both dramas lack the acting and chemistry, its all about a story without the powerful delivery that can make it magical(FL in BIA is ok - cant say the same about the ML unfortunately - but the story is just...too much slice of life family drama, like watching someone's diary but there is no spark in it. That is just not for me, I cant with those life stories and everyday hardships, I just dont care honestly 😭). We have to really appreciate what we have here because it IS another level of exceptional.

Normally, ML;s in xianxias take the punishment all quiet and solemn, agreeing that this is how it is, he is the first to criticise the judgement of Natural Law and refuse to abide by it.
