Rewatching ep 38 has me crying sooo much but I cant, I have to rewatch the last episodes , I cant say goodbye.

I am so happy that I chose to watch this without ever coming to the thread to accidentally spoil myself about what's coming, even from the book readers! (I didnt even know there was a book but thank god I was cautious hah). So in the beginning I had no idea who was who and thought Xing Zhi is actually an immortal or something who must have lost some friends after a battle with demons lol. And I thought he really died there, didnt question anything 🤣The suprise after that first death was so pure for me when I got to be introduced to who they really are and experience the reveal that he was an ancient god! (Had I been in the comment section, I would probably already have a rough outline of the characters and story) Everything after I watched without even theorizing, it was soooo good that way. So thankful to myself for doing that and watching this on my own. Only the cave scene made me come here and share joy 😌

It's an old trope actually, think of Tarzan (and maybe Frankenstein? But I cant remember if there was romance in there, probably not lol)hah There is one from the Chinese dramas I can think of with this plot - The Blue Whisper. Im pretty sure there others with sinilar plot

And The Wolf, how could I forget! it was a very good drama, I watched it for SML mostly played by Xiao Zhan - his was my favourite character

Do you realise, how many times, YEARS, we BEGGED for a true long happy ending and not a 2 second reunion from the distance??? Do y'all remember after every drama we cried and whined to no avail? We have lost hope so many times for so many things abd this drama just comes and gives us everything??? Why???? Is this real??? How????

We actually had a HE and a whole episode after????? I cried so much through the sad scene by the end and then whaaaaat???? What was that - a true ending that we wanted for eternity????? This whole experience was unreal...what now? Xianxia reached its top potential, what now? That was too good, too much 😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes of course, it also had brilliant acting from the leads! Actually, it's acting and who the actors are that make dramas really worth it. Not everyone can do it, so glad here the two leads are killing it!

Censorship totally forgot about this drama. There could almost be a tongue kiss inside and censorship wouldn't know, that's how big of a blessing this drama got. I can't believe it , they just didnt bother 🙂😍

The romance is....no words. These past two eps LGX's looks and prescence and acting were...phenomenal, so powerful. He is THE man, best ML since, I dont know...ever even? I dont remember such a powerful and manly ML since Love and Destiny but this one's better I think. Give us more scenes with them two, chemistry was defined in LOSL, top tire from beginning to almost end now. I'm not ready for the end!

I have made the tough decision to never step foot in this comment thread from beginning to end in order not to be spoiled about anything because I like this drama so much. I dont even watch trailers and have forbidden even my own self to make theories - n-o-t-h-i-n-g shall take away from my pure enjoyment to watch this untainted.

Yes ....I was actually happy when he had a cardiac arrest. An 80-year old thinking with his lower part of the body still, keeping a mistress at that age thinking she loves him more than anyone??? and mostly - hitting his daughter?!?!? What a garbage father and man - let him be in a coma, his microscopic brain wasnt of any help in previous episodes anyway. Not to mention his missing integrity.

It IS a mentally disabled toxic family though, not an exaggeration there 👌😁. Wouldn't be ok for any two young sane people to live in such a dynamic, poor their children.

Agree, she should have put boundaries, it's not a normal behaviour and a person can't be that clueless to it. It's actually disrespectful to her given that she's married abd someone flirts openly like that. SML is a very annoying cartoonish character.

I was so hoping he could get his divorce!! Not even sure if I want to see romance here, she's too much of an abuser. That family looks like a cult, even comedy can't lighten up the mood enough, it just feels so suffocating.

I am OBSESSED!! Hasn't happened in a while!! Ji Sung's eyes, his EYES! The OST! Omg, the ost!!! Oh Ri On also very hot and I fell for Cha Do Hyun, too, but I have one big love in this drama (as I thi k most watcher know who) and Ri Jin - don't let Se Gi gooooo!!! Now, Shin Se Gi is where acting is at I want MoRE romance between them, more Se Giii!!!! And if Shin Se Gi cant exist if CDY exists, well, girl, you know who to kill and who to heal 😅
How are they one person, just noooo....CDY, Im sorry but sacrifices must be made. Im really sorry but cant you just choose another body 😭 This is a love triangle with technically two people but we all knooooow who the main love interest is or more like who I want it to be.

In my country big trucks like this are not allowed on most roads, only certain ones and they definitely can't drive with such speed in a city and on a crossroad with that! That car was definitely thr only one on that road at the time, didn't hear or see another one around and SUDDENLY a big truck just goes through all zebra crossing without slowing down and the driver despite clear vision from meters ahead, just couldnt see a whole car stoppped perpendicular to him in front...

And oh yes...two trucks!!!

I dropped this a couple of years ago after watching the first episode because of FL's super loud obnoxious shouting and screaming. In Korean dramas generally there is quite a lot of shouting and screaming and ugly fake crying (not even close to realistic way people cry, they add the shouting and the loud "waaaaaaaah" ofc and it looks comical but characters around the crying person take it seriously. For comparison, in real life, that "aaaaaaah" while crying is only when it;s a little kid that is faking it and whining, people rarely cry with voice and when they do it's definatelly not a loud "aaaaaah" with no pause, the sounds are more raw and between breaths even when loud but it;s such a stark contrast compared to Asian dramas, I dont know why...just my thoughts and observations through the years of watching dramas - I see at as bad acting but also realise there is something cultural to it which again doesnt take away from the bad acting aspect hah Likem even good actors in a crying emotional scene suddenly turn so fake and weird and childish, why they ruin those emotional moments like that? Its giving second hand embarassment)
So, I dropped it after that one ep where I had turn down the volume through the whole thing, it was painful. Recently decided to resume the series and find the plot interesting and engagin but that FL.....it was not just that one first ep, she continued screaming soooooooo much. Is this a comedy? Or is she trying to add a fun element to a scene? there is nothing funny or pleasent about that way of acting. How did they allow it or thought its such a good idea? Watchers acgtually enjoy it? Does it make someone, at least one person, laugh?
Im at episode 6 and there was a very serious and emotional scene through which she continued shouting relentlessly and I really tried to ignore but then when it was time for her to cry and she started that "waaaaaaaaah" coupled with "Moooooooommyyyyyy"......I can;t, I just can't. There are good things to this drama, the ML is interesting most of the time - sometimes his personalities are somewhat cartoonish and his main one is a little bland but the premise is not bad. But please, FL, please keep quiet and be serious about what is happening, it;s just unbearable watching on normal volume.

I think this is a typical pre-teen/teenage phase when you like two actors, for example, and find they're dating and you take it so personal, you want them to act together everywhere and never touch another human being... people want to believe so much in pure love, they think they're cute but they actually cringe 😅 Never ever put your personal beliefs or feelings onto famous people and view them as representations of.yourself, "kids". Or at least, do it in your head but like.. have boundaries. Yes , actors can have cheniystry with other actors and you know what, even if it hurts a little to think about - in real life you can have chemistry eith people outside of an existing relationship and actually feel attraction on a basic level because when you like/love someone that doesnt mean you will never notice anyone else. Also, in order for actors to act good together they sometimes have real chemistry in real life as a woman and a man and that can happen even when they're married to someone else... it helps them.on set. They're not like "oh that's not my SO so Im disgusted", the're enjoying it and surprise - that's not cheating 😉
