Watched 4 episodes so far and I must say Im really enjoying it! Its fresh and keeps my interest, I like the pace and that its not draggy. The ML is so charismatic and his voice....<333
The CGI is good, everything is so magical! I cant wait to see more! It deserves better ratings than the one here
Oh? So does that mean a lot of shows donāt have actors using their real voice? I didnāt know that. Any reason…
Absolutely, knowing different dialects is part of the job and part if the art. How can an actor expect ro sound the same in every different work? Is that really an actor if they're casted as thenselves every time? They have to change appearances, everything, in order to improve and be considered eligible for future bigger work. But most young Chinese actors dont strive to perform in true quality projects and it shows, theyre for sure not on the level of actors the same age in big Western TV shows , for example House of The Dragon recently. See the younger actors thre, they act on the level of the older cast, everyone will remember them now and they were unknown names before these big roles(and casted from different countries with different accents that they then learnt to not use), not some idols from who knows where. I watch Chinese dramas for entertainment and I really love them because they also have unique qualities but the serious works are ubfortunately rare today and depend only on older actors ehich should not be the case.

In Western TV abd cinema the producers divide the team to work in different days in different locations, they dont have to be all at one place at once. Soundproofing a set is a thing every recording team knows how to do, Im sure. They have to think if a way to do it , how to not have everyone at one place...its the professional's buisiness to do this but Im sure its again a money thing - guess most producing houses are putting the cost vefore the quality and dobt care that much about the fact that quality is the thing that will get then true recognition, pride in their job and money.
I dont agree that its impossible and its always obvious when something is recorded on set or not - a set audio is much more natural, the voices have nore nuances to them, its just better. I hope the audio is good in this drama but if its dobe in a studio, like always, it will sound artificial
I'm huge fan of LBFAD and AoS season 2 gives me some LBFAD vibes, especially ML with his being badass, but...…
Oh yes, it would be difficult outperforming after LBFAD! He will have a new drama next year! And from what I saw, its a badass character again, supposedly a greyer character... I think next year will also be strong for Cdramas, seeing as all the titles Im waiting for just refuse to air this month ;(
Whats this childish comment? Absolutely against such unneeded discrimination on any part of this site! My one…
Exactly, agree, two different dramas. Even if there are similarities it doesnt mean copying and no one said it or implied it. In fact, if I find something similar between two dramas I like I would be happy and would want to share the love. If someone misunderstands this its not my problem but their insecurity
Happy there are more people that appreciate these fantasy dramas without feeling conflicted š!
From the preview it seems like Jin Mu is trying to awaken Naksu's soul to 'distract' Jang Uk. This is probably…
Maybe live Naksu will be compelled to go in the forest? And maaaybe Jang Uk will know her identity but a part of me wants this moment to be later in The series lol I like the stage when two characters that will definitely be a couple are not a couple yet , these are the moments with the most chemistry like....always haha
This concept is very common in fantasy my friend. I watched LBFAD and it was cute and all, but AoS has better…
I know its common from way before but recently these are two of the better made fantasy shows, we're finally getting higher quality content in CGI for sure. The concept is something like Hades and Persephone I think.
Whats this childish comment? Absolutely against such unneeded discrimination on any part of this site! My one…
I saw none of these comments here except a few where I and few other people discussed both shows in a positive way and literally no one said which one is better. Even if they did, what of it? And "they never said it clearly"? If they didnt, they didnt, how do you know what someone wanted to say without them doing it? Accusations should have more ground to them, otherwise youre only sowing discord, its very backhanded
Comparing to anything is totally okay, dont judge other people or their preferences please, this is not some kind of fan war situation.
Unpopular opinion:AOS is way better than Love Between Fairy and Devil for me. Don't come and compare how much…

We're one family here on this site, people here watch many dramas and of course discuss them whenever they have the chance. Its not a reason for "war" when you like more than one show, sheesh, no ine lives in a glass world (i hope)
Omg yes the wiiiiings, the wings, just....the black and red wings behind her aaaaaaah šš I want second season of LBFAD just like AoS got one, pleeeasseee
After ep2 i got this feeling - is it just me or is this second season somewhat similar to Love Between Fairy and Devil? Like for real, it gives off that vibe with the ML and FL roles and that last scene that reminds me so much of " Who dared hurt myy giiiirl?!" (If you know you know) The ML's big magic entrance , him taking and caring for the girl even though he doesnt love her and is "jUsT uSiNg HeR"..and more I guess
Haha with some important differences No one quite as Donfang Qing Cang of course lol <3

I guess a dubber is cheaper than a dialect coach. Personally, i doubt its a reason thats not money related because this is also a business. If the audience largely doesnt mind they will continue, just that
Also Im not a fan of dubbing these dramas altogether only exception for animation. Ive heard the "too many sounds on set thing". As if other countries are some silent areas devoid of human prescence and people live in a vacoom while China is the only nation with living things moving around and they just cant film there without screams in the background :)
Films are still recorded on the proper set for them because that is how actors convey every aspect of what they have to say, dubbing is too artificial sounding even done by the same actor. Sure there are explanations for that decision too like there is for everything in this business...
Anyone who is wondering why such a good drama that has only just started has such low scores... Well... Perhaps…
I'm not a fan of male actors looking like little girls. As is the case here with the SML who looks younger than FL as if he is her little sister. I cant call him pretty exactly, he is definitely not my type , but the biggest part is that actors such as him cant act and they continuously show that they are not real actors while getting paid for that job which is laughable. I know East Asia loves visible femininity in male actors and also teenage visuals that are not popular in the West and Western shows (for more adult audience but even the teen shows tend to have more mature look) but the audience is never from just one type and most importantly acting is not a career based solely on looks and if we judge actors by their skills maaaaaany of the Chinese "actors" would not be part of these dramas. Also 44 years is not old lol 40 is the age men mature actually , theyre late to the game since kidsš I guess from a perspective of a 15-year old yes but life will soon teach them that people of all age can mingle anywhere and they have to deal with it abd learn. Especially in TV and cinema, artistic people have better grasp of. What they do as time goes by which is a treat to the viewers and we should be thankful for mature actors leading these dramas that are otherwise big flops.
People should watch old Hollywood movies where the MLs had biiig age differences to their FLs and that was considered completely ok and these films are still classics and people fall in love with the actors because they're hot 40-sonethibg men and they can ACT
I mean Clark Gable, ladies and gentlemen, Marlon Brando, Laurence Olivier...imagine someone, anyone, saying to them "yOuRE oLd FoR tHe PaRt" just looool cant happen when you have it in your smile and eyes even.

I think China is the only country that uses dubbing in parts if their TV and cinema(here Im not sure). Like, just record on set and be professional, actors are not some pretty faces, they should get paid for being actors and playing their roles, speaking is the biggest part of their profession, you cant ask someone else to do it for you if you want to say you work as an actor and not a model. Its just not serious to me and all the explanations Ive read seem to be just excuses. I know the producers take these decisions most of the time but its baffling its still happening, guess money are involved for this backwards habit to continue. It lowers the quality...its not the aesthetic that should sell a role, its actors that can properly sell the character with their whole performance. Thats what casting is for. and drama schools before that and talent and so on... But I dont know if it will ever change ....
Dear show writers, I can't stress enough how little we care about Princess Lian, Zhu Ying and Yebei's people arch.…
I doubt the writers will hear, they are not doing a very good job till now... For example, I skip Yebei scenes, I skip Yi Wu You scenes, i skip veil girl scenes, I skip Fan boys scenes, I skip concubine scenes....thats how interested I am in all those plotlines š Sometimes im left with almost nothing from the episode :(
Thank you!
