Im not at all familiar with the whole process and am all against censorship but it really is suspicious that those scenes are released now in social media. I think the drama uses that as a sort of advertising and the media on which is posted gets money from it too.
They deliberately cut romantic scenes and then put them somewhere else for viewership, its part of the business now. Ive seen it happen not only for IQiyi dramas, its a tactic widely used which strips from the quality of the drama but gives money so they are like "whatever"

Yes and actually International audience looses respect when we're seeing how fragile a "country's ego" can be, how their politics ruins and controls creators and individuals and says what the public will see and know. They shouldnt worry, no one will see them as perfect 🙂

I cant blame only the eunuch, he wouldnt have succeeded if the emperor didnt have it in himself to be that way. Hes fully responsible for his actions and since hes unstable and narcissistic, and the eunuch knows it, he gladly gives him what he already wants to hear.

The emperor just needs a little push, one more excuse to potentially do something, no one is forcing him to, that why hes so dangerous - he hides it so well from everyone

But I dont think hes a second ML, hes a main character though. He doesnt need to be attractive to be so self-obsessed and unwilling to take into account others' feelings. In fact, narcissists like him have so many faces....
I cant stand him, hes pure evil in my eyes because he pretends hes good. It seems like hes delusional and actually believes it but seeing how masterfully he manipulates everyone to do what he wants to do, Im quite sure he knows fully what hes doing and plays a game

Yin Lou is lucky that eunuch didnt target her. I dont blame the poor girl for what happened, you can hardly stand up against such a violent little excuse of a human if youre alone, she was a victim. In the drama things are ofc very dramatized and Yinlou is shown as strong enough to take him down and smart enough to make him shut up but its obviously exaggerated .
If I have to blame someone is those two dumb little ...the maid and the friend of the ML that were there and couldnt do anything because they decided to drink in the mausoleum just because the drama needed an excuse for what happened. They heard her and didnt do anything, so useless, as always
I also feel this girl will harbour a lot of hatred for Yinlou

Oh totally agree, theyre similar because of the traditional xianxia element but for me Immortal Samsara after a certain point was painful to watch. Nothing ever happened, the whole drama turned into a filler...i couldnt finish it.
This one has a nice pace and has more hooks but well see how all the promises turn out in the later episodes...Sometimes it struggles in the delivery and not every character is even useful, still annoying tropes...but there is mystery here so I want to see what happens next. If I have to be honest, it has a tendency of going in circles after a while so next eps would have to deliver something different...

I have more hope for this drama because it introduced some rather interesting characters but if it will be able to implement them in the best possible way...we'll see but honestly...it hasnt yet happened.

I felt like giving a comment on the last two eps so I did ^^ For the whole drama i can give a review some day, until then, when I have the time and desire I'll be doing what absolutely everyone here is doing from ep 1 and before - commenting on the drama, in whatever stage. Patience 🤣

Too bad most of the 7th and 8th episode were fillers... more than half of the scenes didnt add anything to the plot and made for a boring watch. This drama is not yet consistent and I really hope it picks up pace but most importantly, if theyre going to cut scenes - cut all the scenes that are not really a part of the story and decide on the tone of the plot - are we having a serious show or a serious one that suddenly turna into a low quality "comedy" about characters we don't care for?

Like the painful scenes of the football match and the even more painful scenes of FL's badly acted maid and the annoying companion of the ML(I cant decide on who is more annoying and badly acted, t completely unwatchable characters). Theyre not worth even for a short BTS content, let alone included in a drama.

Exactly, his reaction was not normal! He just killed someone and hes thinking about himself, even FL told him to stop the fake mourning and do something productive. He is so narcissistic . Definately a future villain

I think he has the antisocial, psycho tendencies from way before and the eunuch uses his fragile traumatized ego to weasel his own way to power, too. Disgusting. And dangerous for FL. She shouldnt really be spending any time with the emperor alone, he looks as if he would snap at any time and Xiao Duo put her into that situation, he will feel very guilty in the future

I dont know if she would be evil but youre right, there must be more to her story and the reason why she is in the palace in first place.
