It was a very promising drama! Zhang Bin Bin was outstanding and was a visual treat, honestly the most handsome Chinese actor! But the ending was unsatisfying somewhat...ep. 39 was the better ending, it was connected to the plot and very emotional. Actually, a very good episode! Well made and meaningful, just the last scene felt incomplete, wish we saw what happened after, it wasnt enough
Ep. 40...what was that? If they chose to go the route of the evil ML, then go all the way in, but one episode is not enough for that. Although ZBB was so hot as evil Moon god, wish they had at least one true kiss with him as this new sexy version β€οΈThen when secondary characters showed up...yet again, i hoped we were done with A Fu and Luo Ning but here they are again and I was really sad when He Na died in the first version but when I saw him alive in the second i was annoyed lol it didnt work like that , just no, it was like a bad fanfic episode.
39 is obviously the true ending, the one thing I liked from 40(except evil Luo Ge β€οΈ) was the last scene, it was more hopeful but the whole thing ...so fast paced and strange ZBB should be in more xianxia dramas, he looks amazing in the costumes and wigs, so manly and just...gorgeous, I cant π
As a whole, the drama changed for the worse after Luo Ge jumped from the rock to be reborn again. Everything became a mess and it lost track of the main.plot. And then when he returned as a god, after the rebirth on Earth, it was already complete chaos and they i introduced second romantic story which felt so out of place, like a soap opera. The OST and graphics were beautiful! They made the series a better experience!
I completely agree with what you said about Lui Ning and He Na.He Na always protecting his brother is like inadvertently…
Luo Ge had much more to take into consideration then a dying wish. This is an emotional point of view, but from a moralistic one and given the inportant role of Luo Ge for the three worlds - he should have killed him , the believes and words of his sister shouldnt be enough to alter his judgment as the Immortal responsible for world order
Its not serious or fair to all the people that suffered from the criminal - its like their sufferings and their death meant nothing be ause of the word of just one person that blindly loved him, out of lack of experience and stupidity. Why is that her words should be the deciding factor and not all the consequences of his actions? Luo Ge should have been the one to know better. If he lives with regret, no ine can be sure...after lying for his whole life, how can someone trust what he feels now? He proved time and time again that even when close to him people suffered, he didnt change., irrespective if the fact that he "loved" them in a way
Anyway, the drama is over and is clearly not perfect...
Turns out this has 90% of things that I really hate in a drama. The plot is nonsense, though I watched it diligently,…
I completely agree with what you said about Lui Ning and He Na.
He Na always protecting his brother is like inadvertently helping him in doing all the sh*t he did.
And I liked Luo Ning when she decided to leave A Fu but then she suddenly decided to forgive everything and sacrifice and now when dead she even continued to protect him. I hate how this is shown in the drama as if that makes a learning lesson for all people - to be good even to the bad and that will change them.... she just turned stupid and stopped respecting herself, nothing good or commendable in that, its a lost potential to show what a smart and confident woman should do to people that want to use her. Same for He Na And Luo Ge when he decided on not killing A Fu because of his sister's wish. He knew everything that guy did and is the protector responsible for the three realms - the bad judgement of his dead sister shouldnt sway him when its concerning such inportant matter. Imagine criminals being spared because someone loves them too much and other people are like " oh they dont want something bad to happen to them so justice won't be served and we will close our eyes because we have good hearts π" it was a weak move
Omg last episode tugged so much at my emotions and with the music and...after watching ep 40 preview, when he said "you will kill me, right? You must really kill me!" and while saying such strong words as a command and also as a plea, with so much desperation and then...he didnt try to be cold but instead did the opposite and touched her nose lovingly the way he always did, with a smile...it felt so real, it conveyed the conflict and somehow made it normal almost, with that gesture, just to remind her its alright and he is just asking something of her out of love. I will be a mess tomorrow, Vin Zhang's acting will be the end of me, hes too good jn this, for real. Im praying for a way this can be resolved, the drama is too much and yet its beautiful and Im like "give me more" π
ZBB was made.for xianxia...also, his dark style is too hot!! π₯
An attempted rape is okay, but kiss scene is prohibited?? π€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈI don't know…
I think its not really about showing any scene but particular ones, concerning women. Its a theory - an ugly one, censors refuse to show a woman expressing sexual desire. In the bath scenes it was her that was naked and supposedly tested Xiao Duo and seduced him. Rarely I see kisses where the woman takes a more active part, enjoying herself. Also, in the rare cases she is showing desire, its always when drunk so that is an excuse for her "wild behaviour". In the case of rape, since the woman doesnt want it and takes no part, Chinese censors seem okay to show that but any instance where both parties want to be together...its "too much", "its not right". Im really suspecting this way of logic after watching many Asian dramas, and is truly...disgusting. the rape attempt is a real thing so Im not against showing it but Im seeing a pattern too, women have to be "innocent" and if they are part of a sexual activity its in a circumstance that is against her will or even of she wanted to, she didnt express it on the level the man can express it. The FL here is more open to being with the ML so Im pretty sure Chinese censors see in that a kind of promiscuity . I gess its in part cultural.. in part hypocritical
The thing about this show that is so frustrating is the juxtaposition of momentum. On the one hand each episode…
Agree so much! It really was THE most important moment and what everyone expected to see. I am so disappointed in the choices they made in editing. I am well aware of Chinese censorship but I remember in the past we had similar scenes in other dramas but in the past year Im seeing a change. All dramas started to feel childish and as if they miss so much in terms of romance and normal human interactions and emotions.
Since when flirting and sexual tension are something that should be censored as shameful? I can never agree with the logic of the censors(against their absurd existence as a whole), Im seeing it as a way to ruin creativity and impose ideas on the people watching, taking away simple freedoms and the ability to choose. If they strive to achieve a pristine image, it only helps to achieve an image of empty values, arrogance and two-faced tactics. Its comical and unprofessional. Here the scene was needed plot-wise, it was shot and existed but then cutting it made , at least me, the audience loose trust in the pacing and future of the series. So sooo bad, a massive disappointnent
Poor Luo Ning...she was totally going to forget about the despicable A Fu, in a healthy way, but then her forgetting forcefully and crying as she lost part of her conscience and then dying...A Fu was really not worth the sacrifices and I want He Na to finally stop protecting such an undeserving person, by protecting him he helps him in doing all the things he did.
And also .omg He Na! That was the ugliest, most despicable act in the whole drama - how A Fu took the power from his own brother! He turned and hurt the person who always stood behind him, that was so disgusting I couldnt watch .This narcissistic little biatch needs to go!
Well done to Vin Zhang and Wang Yu Shuo! Their performances are the best in the drama! And I still think Riley Wang was not suited for such a big role, he cant act and it shows hes not an actor.
I hope finally we return to the story of the main couple as they have unresolved plotlines and I love their chemistry ! Wish we didn't loose so much episodes to secondary characters
What?? What is this bath scene that I didnt see but suddenly is shown in a memory? Woooooow, how can you cut but then quickly show it in a memory without explanation??? And it was such an important moment! ! Is it somewhere on the Internet?
The cutting is seriously not professional, they dont even hide it or make the rest of the story coherent, such a shame! I cant believe what Im seeing, they actually aired a memory of a scene that didnt happen on screen, I really cant believe someone said its acceptable and aired the episode like that.
I missed some episodes, watched up to ep29 now ..whats happening to the CP? Their story, of the two gods, is still without explanation and development? It was the mystery that drew me to the drama at some point. They were so good together..Why should I watch badly acted A Fu, Lui Ning and agaaaaaaaain Bai Feng? Whats happening? I feel disconnected to the story now, this is not Song of The Moon π
They really ruined the drama, when I remember the days when Lu Li became Luo Ge and the chemistry, the promise for solving of the mystery. I will miss the drama we had, this is not it, too bad....even He Na is different now
These past 16 episodes have been such a delight but the most recentβ¦. β₯οΈπ₯π₯ I LOVE LOVE LOVE their…
Totally, Xiao Duo is ultimate gentleman, every ML needs to take serious notes because this is a a true man here - how he got himself in a Cdrama I dont know. No immaturity, no toxicity - real courtship and respect for the woman that he obviously adores. If he becomes even more open about his feelings and desires, if he chooses to be more direct, if he continues being open to her needs and continues to treat her like a queen and cherishes her...I mean, if I had a little teenage sister I would MAKE her watch this series and tell her this is how men are supposed to be π π Also, if a man doesnt single -handedly smoke away the mosquitos in my bedchambers every night, hes not my man. Lets be real, Xiao Duo set the standard ππ
Last episode had me bluuuushiing! A very natural, innocent yet sensual portrayal of a budding romantic relationship!…
From what I got from the conversation of ML with his friend - actually, she does know in a way hes not eunuch and pretends and plays the game, just how hes being doing
can you please elaborate on the part where you mentioned she knows he's not a real eunuch? does she know the truth…
Nothing oficial about "the truth". Im not going to give a clear answer , that takes from the beauty of watching and finding out things on your own ^^. How far have you watched the drama? These are not questions and answers for people who havent reached the recent aired eps Dont skip just be ause I said something lol it was ep 16 I think
I love her too...this is the first time I am watching the actress and I don't think she is as bad as some people…
Yes, shes very feminine in a playful way, she also knows how to flirt naturally. I am not a fan of cute too and am so happy there can be an Asian drama without it, thought its impossible given how many Asian cultures are into the Kawaii.....
Last episode had me bluuuushiing! A very natural, innocent yet sensual portrayal of a budding romantic relationship! Actors were amazing! The plot I still am not sure about but the romance is a rare thing. I hope they continue with its build up and do t shy away from skinship or expression of feelings in different and realistic ways. Last time I watched a drama with true good chemistry was Autumn Ballad, this has the potential. Especially seeing how the FL expresses her desires( I think they gave her freedom because its presumed hes an eunuch) I like how she plays falling in love .
As for the maid - who the hell she thinks she is? This is not "a friend" and this girl , the last thing she is, is an actress. What a useless, horribly written and acted role. I skip all her scenes and also those of the princess and the girly prince - I dont care, they are out of place in this drama.

Well, then people also need to see that toxicity is not so black and white as you say it is. Not only one person's boundaries are to be respected, not only one point of view is to be seen, his actions were not consistent and BY had full right to question them because he was good one moment and the next he snapped. Being nice then being mean, then again nice then again mean is toxicity..And is certainly not being consistent. I do find her patience the wrong behaviour through it all, while she catered ro his needs she failed to establish her boundaries in the process. BY was really in weaker position in the "relationship".
Like OP I dodnt see proper build up of romance. Chemistry, yes, but a loving relationship - far from it.
Abrupt? He send some flower petals to her in the first episode. He's a nice guy and treated her well most of the…
I cant really agree here...Jang Uk was toxic most of the time to her. It matters how he made her feel unappreciated. His behaviour was incosistent and while we as the audience could get his point of view, if we were on JBY's place, all that we would feel would be how his actions made her feel. Snapping at her, being purposefully mean all be ause of his reasons...why should she care? Snapping at someone and rude behaviour is called disrespect in my book. His past is his past and his problems are also his to deal with, other people are not obligated to neither understand him nor, especially, be his punching bags. His character still has the immaturity he had in the first season
I dont really like how the writers handled their relationship, I had more expectations in the beginning. I am yet to watch the 8th episode, hope it feels more realistic.
He IS playing dumb, yes! And hes not who he is just because of the eunuch. I think he knows exactly what hes doing and had a plan to have the throne and possess everything, including Bu Yinlou, from a long time. Youre right, there must be a reason and that reason is that he is a manipulator since child, pretty sure. He carefully removed everyone around him, the little boy included (I dont believe at all that it was an accident). Hes dangerous to be around
