This drama is so good, it got under my skin and I totally didn't expect it. I love every character and feel for them. They're so well written and likable and I want to hug sweet and brave Woo Joo and I fell in love with Dong Jin's eyes and smile.(but Jun is handsome too haha)....and Hye Seong needs to know that she deserves to love herself and .... if Jun and Hye Seong really become a thing as Im feeling they will ..that would be the cherry on top of everything! I want a happy ending!!!! This gives me the warm fuzzy in love deep feels as MLN. Both dramas cast a spell on you <3
I quite like the fact that there are none of the cliched scenes of FL tripping over her own feet and ML catching…
It's not the first drama to convey romance in different ways, so it's not taking the reward for originality here. I have nothing against variety, but when you start overusing something without introducing something new it's starting to get boring and going in circles, however "original" is the thing you overused. Here it's drawn out glances, smiles while looking at each other and long-awaited mundane meetings that last for no more than 5 minutes. His friend and the new girl have more going for them in the few scenes they had than the main leads and thats because for the main leads it's always as if the same gettin- to- know-each-other scenes that we saw earlier- over and over and over. I dont know...You have to really really reallyyyy like exacrly that type of plot to appreciate the slow pace, otherwise it veers on being boring in many instances I saw many scenes of the "hilarious duo" and thats exactly why I've decided to skip the rest of them - the second prince is an unbearable character and it's much nore annoying than funny.
I wish for this drama to pick up and make the leads' story more emotional, they are not moving forward right now even as characters on their own. Her pretending also remained somewhere in the beginning episodes, they need to use what they introduced. We have many new characters one after the other in the story but the story of the main leads stays the same and they become supporting characters to all the new ones rather than the new ones adding to the main plotlines(not that I really need that many people adding to a 24epa story, its becoming too much) Looove Jeremy, but for now this gets an 8 for me, it's not consistent
Started skipping all the scenes that don't feature the leads. They barely have any i interactions in recent episodes, other plotlines are not interesting nor needed. (Its a 24 episode series)
Also, when the leads see each other it's just talking, I miss the first episodes with the silly falling of Fl and other filled with chemistry moves. Their story seems to not be moving forward at a good pace, it's lacking on the romance part the last 5 or even more eps (maybe even 10)
I wasnt going to watch this because Jeremy is dubbed and that;s absurd and a crime but....he soooooo sexy, I got major Autumn Ballad flashbacks and now Im in love again.
This.is.literally.THE.HOTTEST.CHINESE.ACTOR. And you cant be really hot if it doesnt translate into your acting - he is natural and criminally charismatic. Has that mischevous aura, somewhat like Chen Kun but in his own way. I just.... <3333 Is he my type or what :)

This is a Chinese drama, they were preparing the character for his redemption arc, not a form of justice or his endless life of feeling alone(hes not anymore..). Him not dying is part of the censoring, other explanations are probable hypothetically but sound as excuses and I think everyone knows it but rarely points it out
I love this and am amazed by the pace and acting (especially of Landy Li) but in last ep I couldnt really agree...
Honestly, I felt so dissatisfied seeing how they didnt exact full justice on HE. And I think its because of Chinese censors and their culture, not because of reasons in the drama plot. After so many despicable acts he did, this chance he was given to live , even weakened, seemed wrong watching it. Yetan is such a unique and strong character, a very strong and true to herself woman but the idea of "we cant show a main character kill a parental figure" just wasnt really her, it felt like a censored version. Hes a criminal that showed no sign of ever feeling remorse for his actions and even as a mortal, a person like him, wouldnt stop wanting to hurt others and seek power in whatever form - he took part in a genocide....you looking all good and proper should not be more important than making sure other people would not suffer in the future...And why kill Void Tyrant while letting the more dangerous one go?
Well, i know why, since Yetan didnt have a relationship with Void Tyrant she could be shown taking him out but HE is one she "must be filial to" so justice may be second place :) I felt a little disgusted watching his children bow to him and even angry at Youqin. This is clearly not my way of seeing right and wrong and I dont think filial piety should come before morality and justice. When Youqin shouted "Tan" so she wouldnt kill HE ...ugh, felt wrong and forced
Otherwise , still loving this, its an amazing drama ( though I dont agree with how some things are portrayed), one if the best xianxias(along with LBFAD)
Landy Li abd Cheng Xing Xu, you had me in ep30! Your acting is top notch, I am sold hard on this! Now giving this a 9 score, was holding on for long on 8.5 all while loving it but the script and dialogue and delivery...everything got me, you have my applause( I was waiting for that one strong moment to make it something more than a very enjoyable watch and it happened in ep. 30 soooo amazing)!
The first two episodes were absolutely amazing - the story and the visual effects made it look so beautiful and i interesting! Then it dragged a looooot and had so much filler, I hope it picks up soon...Chen Xing Xu deserves more
Unfortunately, yet another drama with one of my favourite actors - Jeremy Tsui where he's dubbed. I may try this only if it's a masterpiece and I just cant not resist but ...we'll see

Ep 6 was soo good, I laughed so much during all of the mains' interactions! I just adoooore Kim Jung Hyun <333 Sometimes the dialogue is killing it! That scene in the hospital when he was suddenly "....hyung" and he began that little drama with his servant (the "chaebol" and his secret brother omg! i died 🤣🤣🤣)
Also, Im seeing people really disliking the FL. Her character is similar to many other romcom cliche FL's characters and its not like any of those women acted it any better than her lol So lets not pretend we see this for the first time and its her fault when she starts being annoying - the whole Korean romcom-drama-empire is based on exactly this type of character with exactly this type of acting (maybe with some exceptions depending on the plot). Shes doing fine, yes shes not KJH but they have chemistry and the drama, maybe unfortunately(but for this plot its not a problem), doesnt need much more from her (but I dont think shes terrible by the romcom standards, in fact shes good here and can keep up with KJH in all the right scenes).
Such a good ending to this series!! Other dramas should learn from it!
And so glad for how the story of SML ended, I hoped for this for so long! He is so handsome and charismatic - such a good role, probably my favourite character, I prefer to watch his story rather than the main leads' one <3 Still a good and humorous drama!
The more I watch, the more the emperor character development doesn't make sense. He can't just go from a sniveling…
I knew he was a psychopath from his first scene:) some people didnt believe me but here we are 😂 its quite logical actually, he was so unstable and had these weird obsessions even in the beginning, it was very unhealthy and with the first chance of power he showed himself, what a manipulator he is
Yes b ut don't watch ep. 39 because it's the bad ending episode, the good ending episode is 40. I guess the directors…
Ep 39 was the more logical and was linked to the original plot. Also, nore emotional. Ep 40 needs so much more improvement. One good thing is we saw evil Luo Ge 🔥
