I love this series but I dislike the overuse of lack of communication in order to milk the slow burn to the finale episode. Quite lazy writing.

I laughed at first and then I remembered ThamMac are 18. That might have been their first kisses. And the director didn't help them. I'll be indulgent.

The sexual tension!! They're believable as childhood bestfriends slash married couple with all the bickering. It's really good.

Really ? For his first role, I find Boss/James very natural. I don't feel him acting. Whereas Tong is sometimes laying it on a bit tick with the brooding and the eyes but I understand the character and he does it so well. I agree with you about the pacing issue though.

Can we have a second season without the jealousy trope?!

From the started they were boring but I was waiting for them to be cute and raised my interest. Unfortunately it got worse. Even "Are the sexy bottocks not good" is more interesting than this serving.

You're seeing things from Ken's pov but what about James' ? You don't consider dropping your job, your life and forced yourself on a guy you barely know. Cause what does he know about Ken ? Objectively speaking, they've barely talked about anything but the case. They had one cute discussion on ep3 when James was drunk. Look, I love romance, soulmate tropes and whatever but I still can say when it's been rushed.

This series is good so far. However, I think the relationship is rushed. And because the pacing is a bit weird we don't know how many days or months have passed since James arrived. One character said James and Ken have been working together for a while now but it doesn't explain much to viewers. James being ready to drop his career for someone he met recently and doesn't know much about is crazy. Tbh the whole car scene was over the top and had me rolling my eyes.
I hope they'll focus more on the case now because there' s a bit too much romance, especially in time and place where it's not appropriate.

To me they're not. What they're doing is called Hollywood kissing. It's a technique learn at acting school where you fake passionate kiss by opening and pressing your whole mouth and moving the jaw exaggeratly. IRL when you kiss like that there's some tongue play going on. For example MaxNat kissings. They always eat each other. Here I don't see it. They've kissed 3 times and I've yet to see lips and tongue action. It's very static.

I'm still annoyed by the way they went about the whole crisis. Everyone acted like Lee was immature and overreacting. None of them went to comfort him. The boys arranged a convo with Indy and Ter as if they had a past together that needed to be discussed but they didn't think to do the same with Lee and Ter ?!
Indy is a shitty friend. His reaction was stupid and afterwards he didn't go comfort his bestfriend. He got to talk to Ter but then didn't use what Ter told him to reassure Lee.
And Ter, my gosh. What a disappointment. Says he like Lee but doesn't try to cajole him, to reassure him. I mean, if the guy doesn't want to talk to you, what about sending him a text or writing a letter ? Poor Lee, everyone let him down.

And Ter did nothing to reassure him so I understand Lee.

Boring now. What are we even watching ? And the fish kisses 🙄

I didn't say they're all robot like. I say many of them act like Cheewa. I see them a lot in my job.

Cheewa isn't just a nerd, he's probably neurodivergent (autism). And many of them do act and speak like him.
