For all its flaws this series does something good: communication between the leads. Yes, the whole debacle happened cause they didn't communicate for years (bad plot). But since ep4, I find their discussions real and to the point. They bicker and tease each other but they say what they feel, Yi didn't shy away for expressing his love, Diao told what he felt these past years and said he wanted to be seen as an adult and take care of Yi. Cutie Pie could never!
I’m one of those people who really enjoyed this show and just wanted to add two cents on why that is. Mental…
Thank you! Take my award 🥇 To this day I still don't get the hype. It was good but certainly not a masterpiece. It was basic and manipulative in the directing. But of course people love the "trauma plot/saviour complex scenario" as you said. It works everytime.
maybe it’s kdrama coded because it’s… a… korean drama?
A kbl is obviously a korean drama 🙄. "Kdrama coded" means the plot relies heavily on kdrama tropes: candy character, rich ML, meddling parents, ex-bf/gf reappearance, love triangle, noble idiocy, miscommunication that cause a separation... You can write a kbl without using several kdrama tropes. See Semantic Error, Choco Milk Shake, Long Time No See, Our Dating Sim, Blueming and many more. While bls like ULS, Roommates of Poongduck 304 and Jun & Jun are "kdrama coded".
It started off good but somehow the spark was gone once they got together. Also, I love slow burn and office romance but this series was more office than romance...It was cute but too kdrama coded: evil ex, love triangle, miscommunication to cause issue.. 7.5/10
I remembered that in one of their interview (documentary or behind the scenes of the series), Offroad said he…
I saw the video. I was like whatever, since meeting you he's been acting like your boyfriend lol. Even their friends told him Daou has never cared for anyone like this. I laughed when Offroad said he's not into skinship, cause with Daou, he's always returning his touches and even initiating many times.
I'm just so disappointed 😞how shall I put this 🤔 we've all been waiting for the kiss! but THAT kiss leads…
He's just bad at skinship and as an actor it's an issue. If you can't create chemistry with your co-star and kiss them without showing discomfort, you're not a great actor. It's not even about bl, he's the same with female co-stars.
If you feel bad for Nick, do you also feel bad for Top? And if you enjoy Boston’s toxicity, do you also enjoy…
That's forgetting that people have a brain and use nuance and context to judge a situation/someone. Did Nick lie and cheat on his bf? Did Ray fuck his friend's bf? For some people these actions are worse than stalking your FWB. Some people will condone cheating and forgive Top, others will not. Some people will dislike Ray cause he's a mess, others will say he's mentally ill and need help. We don't have to like every character equally.
Is catching a cold after being in rain really a thing in Thailand? I always though it was just an old wives tail…
I've been in the rain a lot during my holidays in Thailand and I've yet to catch a cold. It's just a myth that became a trope. Like people saying you shouldn't go outside with wet hair. Truth is you don't catch a cold by doing this but many people still believe it.
The scream I scrumpt!! I was not expecting the NC scene! I thought it was a tame series because Daou Offroad are in the same band. But I forgot it wasn't a kbl 🤣🤣. Thai bls have many flaws but they don't play : if you're going to act in a bl then you're going to commit 100% to the skinship, nobody cares your co-star is your bestfriend or your bandmate 🤣🤣
