7.5/10 for the main couple (love them!). But the plot was weak and a bit convoluted. With this kind of stories they should have focused on 1 couple and developed their backgrounds, the mafia plot, how BaiFan managed the years apart and such. The second part was rushed and unsatisfying.
18 years of watching drama and I can say without a doubt this was the worst first episode I've ever seen. The anime intro left me puzzled and then I was dying inside. Someone should tell Domundi that comedy relies on humour, not just an actor screaming and making weird facial expressions. I'm embarrassed for Yim.
Why is it so rushed?! With 10 episodes they had all the time to introduce each character and develop Manaow and Gyoza's new friends-to-lovers relationship. Ep 1 and we already know Manaow's intention, we see that Gyoza is going to reciprocate, and that Warang is in love with Gyoza but will have another love interest... They left no tension, no surprise 😞😞😞
I dunno the source material so everything I observe is just from the drama so far alone, but since the pov character…
"He doesn't think about Wal's happiness at all. " -> What did Guy do to make you think that? We're ep2, where and how did you see that? "...Wal isn't worth anything to him now that he's not available as a potential boyfriend" -> again, how did you get to that? It's completely normal for Guy to feel sad and abandoned now that he knows Wal doesn't reciprocate his feeling and isn't availabe as he used to be. Anyone with a bestfriend has been in this situation once their friend started a relationship. It's called human nature. Guy didn't say nothing to Wal, didn't act strange or express disappointment so why are you making a false narrative? "acting different than usual, not answering his phone, being cagey" -> Nope, Guy wasn't cagey. He told Wal he was with his online friend all night. He didn't answer his phone just one night. Wal read their messages so he knew Guy was meeting his guild, meaning he wasn't meeting a strange person alone in a sketchy place. So why did he follow him there? This isn't normal friend behaviour. While I agree Wal isn't necessarily a vilain (yet), painting Guy as a jerk is a stretch and gratuitous.
bro 🤣 why you hating 🤣ShunYu thinks his boss is having a fling, he also thinks he's unworthy of his affection…
So what? It doesn't negate my point. We all understand ShunYu's situation, but it doesn't mean the characters should act like kids. I'm not saying their behaviours are unrealistic, I'm saying it shouldn't have last this long into the series.
I dislike dumb characters but most of all I hate when writers take us for fools. The misunderstanding is forced and stopped being funny after 2 episodes. We're talking about a grown ass man who can't see his boss likes him when the guy is constantly 2 steps from forcing himself on him?! We're talking about adult men who aren't aware of their mutual interest while they act like a married couple?! Give me a break. The series is the definition of stupid and lazy writing.
The last 2 episodes soured my experience for two reasons: - P'Jojo gave in to his habit of adding drama for the sake of drama. Boeing's appearance and how he was used was just that: shock value. Instead of wasting time with this subplot they should have delved more seriously into Ray's rehab, Sand's father (the way they talked about him I was sure they were going to do something more about him), TopMew building a new relationship in a realistic way (meaning not talking about moving with him "2days" after getting back together...). - Once again, in asian series/movies, everything is tied properly, cutely, completely disregarding the characters personalities and previous behaviors: why did they forgive Boston? Was it necessary? Why did Boston apologize when until now he clearly didn't understand what he did wrong?! Why would Sand kiss Top (this goes back to my first point: shock value)?!
The only thing I really liked was Nick finally getting his spine back and leaving Boston. The way they kept romanticizing their relationship I was sure they were going to end up together with Boston as a reformed rack or Nick agreeing to stay with this fuckboy.
The series started strong and was quite daring for GMMtv so I got too much expectation. 8/10 for KhaoFirst and Mark' acting.
Solid first episode. I don't like Wal. I'm sure he's aware of Guy's feelings. He seems to like Guy's attention a bit too much but wants to keep him as friend.
The romance started too fast, no flirt stage, no courting. And then the stupid FL kept ruining it with her dumb decisions. I rarely say this but I didn't want the main couple to end up together cause the ML deserved better. Weak FL, garbage SML and boring plot. 6.5/10
Well, dumb plot and execution but amazing chemistry from MaxNat. These two love their NC scenes. Overall I liked it more than Cutie Pie but it's still a bad series. Let's hope MaxNat have a better series next time. 7/10
For those who want romance and characters acting like real boyfriends, go watch Love In Translation. It's cute and the MC have great chemistry. This is what I'm expecting from GMMtv.
Last episode was a bit of a let down. Overlong and too much info dump. And we didn't need the fated childhood trope! Overall it was a cute series well acted and the MCs chemistry was great. Hope we'll see Daou Offroad in a better series. 7.5/10
Boston must have some gold standard cajones cos that love confession was so random. This same Boston nick that…
Thought I was the only one not feeling them. BostonNick is following the popular reformed rake trope and of course people are eating it up. I'm not a fan, especially cause they had no real connexion. Now they're presenting Nick's monologue as a romantic move but I was laughing cause it was random and he's still delusional. "You're a good guy, you don't have to change" 🤡🤡🤡
One of the best NC scenes I've seen. The nipple play, the bj, their facial expressions...Good job MaxNat! Nat isn't a kid anymore 🤣. Once again an episode where the MCs express their feelings for each other, their doubts, their dreams. Say what you want but this isn't something we see often in bls. The whole fake wedding plot is quite stupid but MaxNat's chemistry and their relatively well written relationship are enough to make me appreciate Naughty Babe.

Meen & Ping's chemistry is strong.
