This pairing doesn't work because of Mark. Mek is an ok actor but he always has relatively good chemistry with his co-stars, and he knows how to play relax and fun characters. But here, it doesn't mesh because Mark give nothing, he barely emotes so Mek hasn't much to go with.
GMMtv new guys are a miss : Dunk, Mark and Book should have trained more before securing lead roles.

I can't help gushing over him when he's on screen: "Oh my, why he's so pretty? Look at his eyes! Look at his smile! Oh, his baby teeth are adorable!" :-)

I wasn't expecting 3 kisses! They were weak but I'm still glad we got them.

Ep3 was good! Finally, Kaneda is letting his hair down. The elevator scene was cute, we can see Yanase does have a crush on Kaneda. The tension during last scene was delicious! I love Naito Shuichiro's acting (Yanase), he conveys a lot through his beautiful eyes.

I've watched ep3. I'm dropping this. I could deal with bad acting and bad directing but a stupid and problematic storyline? I can't! I've no interest watching a series where a guy thinks it's ok to harass his one night stand. Kamol stalks Kim, invades his privacy and his workplace, talks about love and living together as if Kim is his property. That's awful.

TBH in ep4 you don't really see his mouth because of the angle.

I agree. I think the problem was that it was repeated too many time. And JW's acting was too harsh. I think they should have tone down the jerk attitude and start progressing the story around ep 6.

Hum but it's really not. I don't know if you're talking about me, but TTTS is one my fav series because the characters are indeed flawed but we see them progress from immature morons to less stupid lovers who have each other back and apologize for their toxic behaviors. Moreover Tharn & Type communicate throughout the series, not always properly but they talk and try to understand each other pov. So while I'm completely aware TTTS is problematic, I still appreciate the characters development.
TMS 2 doesn't have the points I cited above : JW's behavior is repeated during 8 episodes, he doesn't self-reflect, there's no progression in JW & SJ's relationship until ep. 9 but suddenly we have a HEA.
The issue isn't JW's toxic behavior but the fact there's no "learning curve" for him, he was kept static the entire series just for the sake of drama.
So I believe you can like TTTS and still call out problematic characters in other series.

I agree with you but I don't get the comparison with OhmNanon or the guys from Semantic Error. The storylines, the circumstances the characters are going through and the relationships dynamics are so different in these 3 series. Obviously you'll not see the same chemistry. It's like comparing MewGulf or MaxTul chemistry to KangMin & WooHyun.

- He was feeling lonely because he made his life about SJ
- He became resentful that SJ was always busy and surrounded with co-workers and friends while himself was alone. Never mind that he was SJ's center of universe and SJ always put him first...
- JW has self-esteem issues, he believes SJ would stop loving him soon

So instead of talking about it with SJ or seeing a therapist, he left abruptly and ghosted SJ for a year. But then the story tells us he was in fact waiting for SJ to come get him, because apparently SJ is a mind reader.
But then when SJ did find him, instead of being happy and relieved his lover was fighting for their love, he acted contradictory and rejected SJ several times.

I've read some of your comments and it seems you're deliberately missing the point... Nobody saying JW's struggle isn't real. We're saying that, objectively, the script is flawed. If you choose to portray a character with mental illness or insecurities so deep it disrupt their life,
you should tread carefully and strive for a realistic character's exploration and convincing ending.
We didn't get it though. There's no character's development (JW reading SJ's text messages and getting an epiphany in ep8 isn't a development), no progression between JW & SJ (it's 8 episodes of JW deliberatly being a jerk to him, it's 8 episodes of JW saying hurtful things to SJ while hoping SJ would read his mind and would keep trying to win him back). There's no self-reflection, no talk about therapy (for both of them), and worse of all, no apologizes.
We're not upset they got back together. We're saying the ending isn't earned. You'all saying the series is a realistic depiction of a relationship but you're accepting an unrealistic ending where the big issues are swept under the rug and the conflit is resolved in 2 minutes.
Reading comments like "Why are people being mean to JW? Why people don't get JW is hurting too? This story is so realistic, why are people not seeing it?" is annoying. It's wild that those who appreciated this season try to disregard valid constructive criticism made by those displeased with the series. At the end of the day, everyone can like what they want. In real life, some people would forgive JW after all he's done, and others, while understanding his actions, wouldn't take him back or would make him work for it.

Already did. I love it. It's one of my favorite now, with Life: Love On The Line.

Two things I got from this season :
- Some viewers equate angst with quality. Give them 8 episodes of inconsistent, repetitive and messy doom and gloom and they'll eat it up gladly because "it's angsty and realistic"... Even though
the outcome is far from realistic and provides no relevant lesson. I mean, I believe a character should go to therapy when their insecurities affect their love life and leave them depressed; same expectation for a character who's being clingy to their verbally abusive ex-lover because of their abandonment issues. They both should seek professional help in order to heal from their past traumas so this fuc*ed up situation would never happen again. In real life, a romance with two individuals like SJ and JW wouldn't work for long. There's a real unbalance power dynamic in their relationship that I wanted to see discussed and worked out properly. But well, we shouldn't complained since they kissed and resolved a year and a half painful mess in 2 minutes. Everything is good and the series is a masterpiece! *sarcasm*

- Some viewers love making excuses for their beloved fictional character when they wouldn't even tolerate their shitty behaviour in real life (at least I hope so). But we shouldn't point out the problematic things JW said repeatedly to SJ and never apologized for since he was hurting too...

South Korea dramas really have a chokehold on people minds. Even their below-average productions get praises. I can bet the reception would have been different had it been a western, thai or chinese drama: people would have called out JW toxic behaviour, would have criticized the choppy editing and the messy plot.

Well, at least the comments section was more entertaining than the series itself.

Lol please, no. Let's not assume disappointed fans just wanted fluff and are incapable of intelligent and unbiased thinking. That's ridiculous to say since we got 40min of fluff at the end but still didn't care for it. We don't like this season because the script is weak and frustrating. It tried to be smart and artsy but lack coherence. But apparently for some people, angst = quality... The actors deserved better.

MekKim isn't a real thing so Tim trying to be paired with Kim isn't a crime. It's not like he's trying to break up a real couple. You don't deserve to die because you're a jerk.
Mek didn't know Tim was allergic to fish sauce but that's not an excuse: because you don't know what allergies people can have you should never play with their food. That's basic knowledge. Mek could have done any prank but this one.
