I told you in advance. The rating was artificially high because fans went straight ahead and gave it 10 stars. Also MDL sometimes has a delay in refreshing scores.
This is not manipulated, and also not a bad rating. It's average.
Whats happened with this drama? I haven't watched it yet, why is everyone talking about a petition?
They chose one of the most politically charged settings in korean history and turned it into a fluffy romance despite several of the characters having direct ties to the historic events, in a way that makes aggressors look less evil than they should.
Read this in another site The people who have a major problem with this drama because of its "HISTORICAL INNACURACIES"…
> who like to cancel historical figures such as Washington or Lincoln
These two barely every get critized by anyone, it's mostly confederate figures and others implicated in slavery. Rightfully so, they don't deserve monuments.
> I'm a Korean-American who lived in Seoul until 1984
The drama is set three years after you left then, that can make a big difference during political revolts.
>FIRST of all, this is a FICTIONAL drama
So is The Pianist. A piece of fiction can be inspired by historic events. If The Pianist protagonist was a Soviet spy, then there would have been a backlash too.
> The country for the most part was poor by the Western standards
This is not relevant to the discussion...
> And most Koreans by no means supported student/democracy protests during those years
... and neither is this.
> calling the protesters "Red bastards" when he would see them on TV
And here you prove that the matter is politically charged. As such everyone has the right to give their thoughts and criticism on it.
Surfshark is good. If you are privacy paranoid, the community suggestions are Mullvad and IVPN. ProtonVPN has a decent free tier but it doesn't provide server access needed for unblocking this drama here
Will it be on Dramacool? Does anyone know if it will be copyrighted or smt?
Of course it has a copyright. Dramacool is a piracy site hiding behind obfuscation services on some island, they will upload it no matter the legal situation.

You are the first person to claim this.

The score over the course of the first few hours mostly consisted of fans so naturally it's excessively high
sounds like a great fit
