I found a good Chinese subtitled source, so I'm kinda casually working on subbing this as my Mandarin is better than my Japanese. But there's a chance I may drop this, who knows? Watch this space for updates. I have a strong feeling no fansubber is going to pick this up (unless they also know Mandarin like me).
Hi. Thank You for translate Hot Mom. I would like to know if you have plans to translate this Amazon JDrama -…
Unfortunately that series was released without subs as well (similar to Hot Mom). The Chinese sites are streaming it with Chinese subs, so technically I could translate it. Maybe I'll give it more time to see if any official subs come out.
Trailer on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9kcryCOad8 Looks good!! Raws for episode 1 and 2 are out on Nyaa if you're interested. JP subs are available so very good chance a fansubber will pick this up (is Furritsu still doing this? no mention on her blog or Twitter).
I have finished subbing the series! Get it on D-addicts. By the way Amazon Prime has also released English subs and released to more regions, so you can also watch from there. My version (like many fansubs) are a bit more literally focused, whereas the commercial subs try to sound more "English-like".
Seems that Hulu didn't stream this with Japanese subs. Fansubbers usually stay away from shows without the original Japanese subs. I've watched the first 4 episodes (which are great), and I'm struggling to catch a lot of the vocabulary. Especially the teenagers, where they talk with a lot of slang. The adults and women speak more cleanly, but my vocabulary is not good enough to get everything. I can get the gist and broad meanings, but I'm not good enough to sub this line by line. Maybe another fansubber will pick this up, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Thank you so much for your hard work!! 🙏🏻I think I'll rewatch it because I watched Ep. 5--12 without sub…
I highly recommend it! Even if you know a bit of Japanese, some of the dialogue is a bit complex and lots of hidden meanings (which I put in the translation notes on the D-addicts forum).
Try to visit this link but they ask me to register first. But then, I can’t login eventhou the registration…
Best place to get the raws is still on Nyaa. Some of the other common websites (Jraws, Dramahd, Bagikuy) where they host dramas don't have this yet either.
Why rating 5??? Is it that bad??? Loved the Korean version
It's jumped to 7.7 :) Although I've not watched the original Korean version, I can tell pretty quickly the Japanese remake is not as good. But it's still a good watch.
I know how everyone has been eager to watch this, so I worked extra fast (without compromising too much on quality I hope) to get episode 1 out quickly. Subs are on D-addicts: https://www.d-addicts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?&t=166023
