I am generally don't watch drama with weird fantasy tropes but this one is strangely addicting and interesting. I thought the geniune girl would change their hearts but didn't expect her to turn out to be a con artist lol. The actors are doing great job in portraying complicated emotions and mystery of the drama. Eager to see how it unfolds.

I have to say it's the most underrated historical dramas I have found. I hope more people will pick this gem and watch it. At first I added it to my list to the cast, I loved the fl in lighter and the princess and though I didn't like any of hu Tina's recent dramas, I loved him in a love so beautiful. I wanted to watch it because of the fl but hesitant about the ml and it being the historical story. I am not a fan of too heavily political or tragic, sad dramas. I wasn't planning to start it but when I seriously read it's summary, I found it intriguing. Especially the eldest lady of hua family taking charge of the family, in place of men. I knew that it would be different from the other historical dramas and I was right. Only the opening shows how different, strong and determined the fl was. The first two episodes set the main background for the drama. It's not your everything happens fast kind of drama. Since it's 40 episodes long, it shows more about the characters in depth, however you won't feel bored. This drama gets better by every episode, you realise that a joint family can be a curse at times but also a blessing. It shows how it is difficult to live in a huge family, people can be selfish but being family they can be caring at times but won't show to others.
The fl was strong, I like her self sufficient and independent mindset. The ML was strong, but loved how he got attracted to her when she protected him, he showed his weak side to be protected by him. At first I wasn't sure if the ML could carry out this role, I thought he would be too soft looking for this drama. But that is what they needed, good and soft, weak looking man but who is strong. These days I have become a fan of self sufficient and hardworking fls kind of tropes jn novels, so this one fitted my choice perfectly. I even got it's link to read the novel later, I am sure there must be some details and things that should only be in the novel.

True. I have watched her in previous dramas as well but this one truly hits different. The chemistry, kiss scenes, the emotions she portrays simply make you cry everytime she cries. I can't believe it has only 6 episodes left now. Cannot imagine how am I going to move on from this drama? After a long I really loved a kdrama. The thought of saying goodbye to it makes me cry. I hope after it ends, we get a special episode with them reacting to the drama. 😭 At least give us that much.

Like twinkling watermelon. The accident happened, he lost hearing but future was changed. Or maybe both doesn't happen, because even when she was on wheelchair, he died. So either both incidents doesn't occur, or something like that. This drama has many possibilities for ending. But I prefer to end them with a wedding, lol. 😅✨

Exactly. I was also watching for her. She was returning to the screen for a rom com after a long as a main lead. I like this kind of stories too so I was expecting it to be good but not much. Because such dramas many times gives sm disappointment. So I had no expectations for it. But it was too good to be true. Like, it's the best rom com if the year for me, at the moment. This drama portrays all the emotions just right. Even the osts reminds me of sun jae and im sol. I cried buckets while listening to them earlier. 😭😭🥹 The actors, even the supporting ones are nailing it, kim.tae sung is my fav. Like he is the bad boy that girls fall for!

That sounds reasonable. Maybe he could become the song writer? I mean he likes music, they used his music. It's possible too. He will be related to eclipse but not just in the group. Just a random guess. 😅

Like there is no bore episode for me, I cry sm, I laugh sm, I smile.sm. The ML finally got his first huge breakthrough drama. Nam soon one gave him popularity but this one opened his ML drama path for future. He reminds me of shin Hye sun, like she also started from extras to supporting roles to second lead to main. Her journey was commendable and he has the same kind of journey, from extras to supporting to secondary leads to main. I can see him as one of the biggest actors in the future, because his duality is insane. Even the fl of this drama has such a great journey. The story, music, cinematography was good but the main leads and their chemistry makes it the best. Without the chemistry the rom.com is nothing but trash but they made it gold✨

You don't like this drama anymore? Idk! I just love it sm. From a drama perspective with a story which includes mystery and time traveling, I think it's doing a very good job. Such fantasy dramas are very hard to pull off you see, they're fantasy but has to make it justifiable and relatable. They're showing all emotions, from happiness, to parting, to sadness to love, while unfolding the mystery and time traveling. For a 16 episodes drama and this kind of story, the pace, is just right for me. Her crying, sadness, all has a reason. Even her pushing him away, breaking up, everything was because of a reason. I am not a fan of ignorant fls either but here the fl wasn't ignorant but was doing it deliberately. She has her reasons, and they are understandable. But again, if you're not liking the pace and characters anymore, maybe this kind of drama.might.not be for you.

True. It started as a comfort drama only to become a melo. I just watched the last episode and I was like, what the hell is going on. 😭 They gave us heart attack in the starting to give us a fast and furious ending. 🫢 This drama could have been good but it was not. They had right emotions, great actors, cinematography, just not the right way of execution.

I liked this drama in the starting, hoping it would be my comfort drama. But at this point it gives me anxiety. I mean, this shanghai drama keeps dragging on. I understand that it's somewhat real, because it's hard to come to a common point to start a relationship, especially with both of their careers on stake. But this drama is giving me anxiety to the point that it's not even my comfort drama at this point. It.has that vibe but somewhat dragging, sometimes I don't understand mother and grandmother and sometimes I do. And yes, the fl is somewhat annoying at points. She is good at solving others issues but hers. But maybe that's how we are. Idk, sometimes things get too real and toxic that I feel annoyed watching it as a drama. 😅🤧
Her mentioning long distance after their engagement, before her leaving was really selfish. She kissed him on the train but doesn't want to take responsibility of her actions. Girl, you're impulsive, but at least respect others boundaries as well. She wants a relationship with no strings attached, but she also wants him. You cannot have everything. This drama kjnda reminds me of drama the interest of love, which rare has love. 🥴🙂

Tbh as someone who also watched queen of tears and this, I would say this one has better plot and pace when it comes to the story development and twists and turns. QoT was mostly hit because of highly rated great actors and they were literally holding the drama, otherwise in terms of plot, it was not less than any makjang drama. It was like a less episodes makjang drama version to me lol. It is popular, yes. It was good, yes. Only because the actors nailed their characters and was literally saving the drama. They have some interesting things but not enough to make it the best. But yes, the actors were the best of bests so their chemistry and performance was one of the main reasons of the top ratings.

Comparatively, this drama truly surprised me. I only started because I wanted a light rom com but it went beyond my expectations. It was so good, the story, the actors, the music, the cinematography, the twists and turns, everything is beautiful and engaging. It's rom-com and it shows why it is a rom-com with twists and turns and some melo. I cry, I laugh, I giggle, it's such a fun watch. It reminds me of old kdramas time, where rom-coms were literally rom-coms kind of drama.

As someone who is watching both, if QoT is like a pill of anxiety with lots of tears, this drama is like a medicine to that anxiety. It's so funny and I am glad people are recognising it. 😭😭

I didn't expected the story to turn this path but it only makes this drama more deep and warming in this sense. It taught us to deal with death, how a person will eventually leave and the meaning of mourning is to say final goodbye to them and stand up again to live your life. Life goes on suits so well to this situation. I cried like river for episode 7&8. This drama has so many aspects that taught us that life is hard for everyone but you have to keep on living and find meaning of your life.

Ps. I have to commend the child actress. She didn't great job in hidden Love but this role is much more deeper and sadder for a kid and hard to pull off. Yet she did such a great job, she showed us emotions while keeping the child innocence. She is such a great actress at such a young age. Her career is really bright and grand ahead.

Yes! I have been looking for a good Cdrama since ASOL ended but couldn't find any good recent drama but this one is what I needed to heal my empty heart.

Both dramas are different in terms of plot or characters but somehow the vibe is here. Like ASOL had very healing comfort feeling, it gives me the similar feels. So yeah, I fully recommend this to watch it you're fan of slow comfort dramas like me.

I am loving this drama. I started it randomly since I had nothing to watch but I actually loved it. It gives meet yourself vibes alot in terms of healing and comfort. After amidst a snowstorm of love, I haven't watched a good Cdrama but now I found this one. It's a slow paced, comfort -healing drama and this is what I need at this moment.

Naah. The old people can be too pushy at times, especially when they see no hope to see their children dating and will have no other family like in this case.

We don't know but yes, I guess she might have been sweet or kind to him once and he became obsessed with her. That's how most villains gets triggered in dramas. Lol.

Oh, I am loving this mystery addition. I had thought it would be just simple rom-com but it's much more than that. The actors are doing great job, even the supporting characters are so good that you end up loving everyone in the show. Except the villain. Lol. Why does it feel like his expressions and actions were forced, it looks like he was trying to be creepy but somehow it doesn't suits him. That's what I feel from his scenes.

The best season of Korean HS was 2 but the ending was bad for me. It was so disappointing but the overall show was good. And yes, Chinese dating shows are very good in terms of relationship and the way it was shown.
