Agreed. Last 2 episodes were poorly executed. I thought they should have ended at Ep 51....
the issue was this drama wasn't meant to air until later in the year, so they weren't even done post production. Those last 4 episodes were literally being done maybe the night before the finale. That being said they also cut 10 episodes worth of material , so the rumors are they are actually reediting as they intented it to air and then realease those episodes on Lunar New Year.

All the new comments are regarding Wang Dong cause his scandal is pretty new, but if you scroll to about 9 months ago you will see the Deng Lun comments. I have been into C-ent for many years now, and I know once a celeb lands on the CCP blacklist, making a full show comeback is rare. Heck I can't even tell you a single celeb who has managed to revive their career. Now it's even worse cause the CCP updated blacklist guidelines and they are more brutal and literally delete you from the industry ( in the past they could keep Weibo, now your Weibo is deleted too). They don't care if productions go bust cause of one person, the production companies just sue the celeb for losses (Deng Lun got sued by Iqiyi for this drama so it's a dead deal). Unfortunately, China ain't like Western countries were someone can go reflect and come back and be given a new opportunity. Reputation is everything, and any scandal that disregards "morality" is a career suicide let alone landing on the CCP blacklist you are dead and done. It's really hard being a celeb in China.

In 2018 one of his ex-boyfriends outed him out the closet (his family and fans didn't know he was gay) and for being a cheater with accusations of him of being a three-timer. Then another ex came out and said he had never cheated when they were together. So people started being like ohh he started dating young and he was an idol back then..so you can imagine. It was messy and unfortunately it put a dent on his reputation and I think has impacted his career severely (esp acting cause I think he still releases music).
He seeked and used prostitution services which is illegal in China. The CCP brought him in and gave him warning, (rumor has it that it had been a repeated offense). This week the rumors started leaking. His dumb ass goes online says the rumors aren't true and his company will sue anyone who circulates it. Let's say the police wasn't happy with that move, so they announced his crime and it seems are doing a you didn't wanna reflect so now we will hold you to your crime thing. His case is interesting, because it was known that he had backing and that's why his past scandals that would have put a dent of his image and career never hurt him before, cause they got covered up fast. So him being fed to the dogs like this, means who ever was backing him got fed up.
On Wang Duo's Weibo from when he wrapped on the N.W, no one in the comments commented about it not airing due…
Unfortunately that ain't how cancel culture works in China. It isn't the fans that decide how badly canceled a star is and if they can make a comeback. Even if his fans are endearing, so long CCP doesn't remove him from the blacklist, he is doomed in the c-ent industry. In his case, he did cooperate to resolve the issue, so they may take him off the list after a few years of him reflecting. But personally, I think the damage is done. No one will want to invest in someone who the general public may have mixed opinions on.
Didn't realize Day breaker was the last time I would enjoy his work. Anyway, do the crime, gotta pay for it. Hopefully, he had made smart financial decisions and investments.
Repeat pairings do happen in cdramaland but it depends on a lot of factors. Xiao Zhan and Li Qin have done five…
It also comes down to how profitable the CP is vs the fan powerhouses. A CP can be very strong, however, if the respective idols' fans don't merge and work together (i.e Who the Rules the World), a drama can be successful but chances of a second pairing are low. Additionally, as both actors grow they may set goals of acting in different genres that one may not necessarily be exploring. So if a writer offers a script to both, hopefully both see it as fitting into where their careers are and they are hoping to reach. I will have to say, I highly doubt these 2 will ever work together in the near future. Maybe 5 years+ later. Reason being I don't think both of them have ever repeated pairings before. And Wu Lei has said, part of the way he grows as an actor is by ensuring he keeps challenging himself by working with new people as much as he can. Cause if you do work with the same person, you both know each others style and do it well. So we will see.
LMFAO. I am sorry what was that whole first half of that episode? It's like they just got a bunch of foreign girls, and for what? Stereotyped conversations ( That Mexican topic was so cringe) and to make the men look cool cause they have a "foreign girl" by their arm? Then at the business party, all the business people are white, and the only black people there are the musicians. I was so dumbfounded that I was laughing like wtf is this?
This FL has to be one of the worst Korean actresses. So wooden; like a cardboard cut-out. Wow, must be difficult…
Okay. I have been saying, she literally has had one facial expression the whole season. Like I can't even tell whether she was happy with Dong Ha or even loved him.
