as expected.they might be paired up together after several years or 10 years, just like Wallace Chung and Li Xiao…
I think part of the reason why WULU worked very well is the age. They are literally just a year apart, and therefore could definitely bounce off each other without feeling awkward. Whereas with Yang Yang and Dilreba, both of them were very much aware that their co-star was younger than them and it definitely affects the working chemistry too. Which, leds me to think yes, WULU shippers were kinda irrational with the response to the leaked Wu Lei video, however, it comes back to seeing him being paired with an older woman and doing his first steamy scene with her. Probably many Wu Lei fans felt some type of way about the set up. He literally, just managed to completely break away from his little brother tag with LLTG and so it will take time for many who have seen him grow on TV delve into steamy kiss scenes especially with someone older than him. Not gonna lie, I watched the video and it appeared as though Wu Lei was doing all the work. Which is why I have mixed feeling with age gap CPs, cause 70% of the time only one person will have to do all the work as in movement of lips etc. (guess it makes them feel less awkward). Unfortunately in C-dramaland, if you try to monetize on a CP it will 90% of the time backfire for the artists themselves. I think the only time I have seen CPs done well to some extent is in Thailand and maybe the Philippines. I think part of what builds healthy CP culture is fan culture and societal culture that acknowledges that these artists are also humans with private lives who can have friends and date other people outside of their work CP. Whereas in China, just dating seems like taboo and many of these artists have to hide it. So healthy CPs? Forget about it. LOL
I don't know if you want deep palace harem stuff only, but on the historical side of a relaxing watches here are my recommendations 1. Maiden Holmes 2. Imperial Coroner 3. A girl Like Me 4. Qing Qing Zi Jin On a more serious side : 1. The story of Ming Lan 2. One and Only ( has a 2nd part Forever and Ever) 3. The Long Ballad 4. Ruyi's Royal Love
Watch love between fairy and devil. If you can get over the female lead’s voice, it is so good. Dylan Wang is…
I am glad to hear Dylan Wang has improved his acting. Unfortunately I can't stomach Esther Yu's voice. She already has a soft girly voice, but when she dubs she then even goes an octave higher and it just irks everything in me. LOL. I wish she would just use her normal voice and stop trying to sound more cutesy, she already is cute.
I watched it yesterday! 1.5 gold bar isn't not bad don't you think. She praises the cast member including LS though
I was shooketh when she raved about LBFAD cause it has everything she marks other dramas down for. Fake-looking props. Oversaturated CGI that makes the skin look not real, a typical happy-go-lucky dismal in distress FL, the "righteous well-cultivated" immortals being immoral and hypocritical. I was sure she was about to trash it all except Dylan Wang's improved acting. LLTG and LBFAD are completely different genres, so comparing them is hard. However, it was saddening to see the evident bias in her reviews. If you are going to knock other dramas for such things I expect the same for every other drama that offers the same things, call it integrity if you will. But the way she raved and squealed about LBFAD, especially after her IS review, is what made a lot of long-term viewers go ohh what's happening over here?
I highly doubt that as this drama was based on a novel and pretty much followed the plot of the entire novel.
The author realeased an epilogue. No wedding, just explains everyone's but mostly where LBY and CSS are now as a married couple and how they have kids and all.
Guys I am in serious post-drama depression era. Wednesday's this summer was about LLTG and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Both are finished, and I just don't know what to do. UGGHH
CY should move out of that family's house. He means nothing to them. I thought the dad would be more sensible, but now I see why the mother and SW are the way they are. SHEESSHH
Just a thought, but didn't Eternal Love of Dream release a family epilogue clip when VIP episodes finished airing? They…
I definitely think they have something coming out once normal VIP ends. As to whether it's just director's cut version of the drama or an epilogues is to be seen. Cause the way they did express was unheard off. Literally a week and a half before the last air date for VIP.
While watching this drama, I thought Wang Ling's mom reminded me of another character. Now I remember Consort Jia from Ruyi's Love in the palace. Both we stuck in the former glory of their maiden clan. Men of their clan were using both to try and gain favor and help their respective clans. But in the end? The men dump all the allegations on them and request the Emperor punish them severely. Additionally, their kids realize it's a lost cause to try and be filial to women who merely saw them as tools. They both end up under house arrest, left alone to slowly die....Such a tragic way to have lived.
Well, compared to other dramas the romance is definitely lacking. I'm on ep. 37 now and so far it is still rather…
I dropped My Sassy Princess cause the FL was just horrible. OH MY WORD. Like I get you want to chase the man, but respect his work and allow him to perform his duties. I don't know if she ever grows.
She just single person with her subjective opinion, honestly speaking I didn't like any drama she praised or recommend…
When I watched LBFAD I was convinced she would dislike it based on her prior reviews and taste. I thought the color scheme from oversaturation, the fake-looking hair ornaments, and the normal cute clueless, and completely in love FL would be critiqued heavily. Which she didn't and I was ohhh, that's new. LOL
On ep. 37 now and rather grated by ML's actions. He really sets a new standard for psychopathic behaviour, having…
So you have to realize, for the emperor to kill people, he has to have legitimate reasons, not just that LBY is mad. LBY has dirt on everyone, you stay in his nice books, he turns a blind eye to it. You piss him off, he exposes you (not saying this is a good trait either, LOL).
Those "aides" were political aides, who she was kept in order to involve herself in court, particularly for when her brother became king. If you remember, when she was saying she is better at choosing support and would be a better fit for CP than her own brother. Unfortunately, this is considered treason on her side, because why are you amassing power as a subject of the king? Hence, why at the end of the edict she is told, if she continues in her ways, it's not only those that lived with her that will die. It's a pretty hard line, of I know all your political moves and if you decide to continue it may be you that dies.
Then also, the royal family reputation was at line when the whole scandal hit, cause it's no longer just involves people in the palace, but the 8 noble families outside. So per se it's also extreme damage control, but in those days only the dead could not speak, seek vengeance or redemption. If the King had kicked them out, with the amount of knowledge they had about what was happening in the palace, it would be too risky.
