Rewatching the drama again, and now watching the tower scene knowing what I know now, and I am like damn you LBY.

They were really political aides disguised as gigolos. As a woman she couldn't be involved in the court, but she could use aides who she could strategically groom and push for them to get positions. Hence, with her gullible brother once he was in office, she could really manipulate him anyway she wanted.

LOL. For a second I also though he died and then remembered, LBY wouldn't leave CSS without protection, so I figured he was in the capital.

Additionally, bronze mirrors on the spiritual side of things were kept in the house to keep the home safe from evil, crime and misfortune. After the evil/crime was thought to have left the house, the mirror was then discarded. Huo Buyi on the other hand, literally handed it to LJT's father in front of people.

If the author's publication house and WeTV are smart, they would ride this international fame and translate that book and sell it as part of memorabilia or something. LOL. Who do I need to meet to explain this business opportunity?

This was slated for 66 episodes, but they couldn't get approval so they cut it to 56. Probably made it hard to balance it out.

I just realized Huo Buyi gave Ji Tong a bronze mirror, which in ancient times would be kept in the house to protect from evil, and once the evil was thought to have left the house, they would discard the mirror. He sent it to her family. Did I not laugh out loud??

It's a drama about attorney's and literally centered around their work life in Hanbada. What else where they gonna show, if not them working on cases?

Hard to believe that 2 months went by just like that. Truly a phenomenal piece. It was fun watching our Hanbada team grow in different ways. I look forward to S2. See ya'll in 2024!!

I think we getting a director's cut?? OMG. I know our director had more sweet scenes for those two. RELEASE THEM ALL.

I was on the edge, So captivated by it all. Then the director and post-production team, did such an excellent job. The music, the color schemes. WWHEEEWW.

If they had tried to actually have everyone in the book and their story followed it would have been like an 80+ ep drama. LOL.

Ling Buyi was never a hero though. From the get go we know he is cunning and sinister and could care less about his image and let alone devotion to anything. He really just wanted to gain his power to get revenge. CSS was never planned it was accidental and that threw him in a fix, cause now he had to care about people beyond himself. Ashile Sun on the other hand is caring and devoted to his loved ones and nation. He cares and every move he makes is to ensure minimum damage to others.
Also Ling Buyi was the one doing revenge and Li Changge was the one doing revenge. So technically, Ling Buyi and Ashile serve very different purposes and hence have very distinct characters.

If Wu Lei doesn't scoop awards for ep 47 and 48 I don't know what else they are looking for in terms of acting.

To those who have finished, do you like ending? Did it feel rushed? Cause I won't buy Express if my blood pressure bout to be high from dissatisfaction. 😂😂😂
