Can't pinpoint an episode but it's mentioned by him and his mom here and there. I'm up to episode 5 so anywhere in those episodes.

Someone can tell me what was the thing with Jin Kang Ho father and all that money? Maybe I missed something but…
Kang Ho's father was a police officer who made a lot of money abusing his power. Kang Ho uses his father's illegally obtained wealth for the greater good only. I'm still watching now, so not sure if they go into more detail in later episodes.

Just finished episode 2, and I love the FL! She is cruel, but intelligent with potential for growth. So refreshing. I almost dropped this during episode 1, but glad I stuck through. Excited to see FL and ML work together and continue to butt heads. Oh, and of course see the development of a mentor-mentee relationship with Prosecutor Min.

I heard Season 2 was in the works, but then COVID happened. We probably won't be getting a Season 2 until later on...or if the production decides to scale back and have it take place in Korea rather than overseas.

Wow, I just started this as I was in search of a fast-paced, action show. I'm already crying half way into the first episode.

I'm enjoying the drama more than the webtoon, and I was actually a Seo Jun fan when I was reading it. I love how the drama is very clear about the OTP (Suho + Joo Kyung), and focuses on building up their relationship. However, I could also see it ending as open-ended since they're all still in high school.

I hope there is more development for JK as she is main FL especially as she really starts her journey in a makeup career and her big reveal. So far, the two male leads have had more backstory fleshed out and depth. I absolutely adore Seo Jun and is the character most after my heart, but the last few episodes have been all Suho for me.

I am disappointed in how the classmates are reacting to the big reveal, but at the same time, I want to have faith in them since Saebom High doesn't seem to have any bullying.

The drama has a very interesting premise, but is bogged down by poor directing and writing choices. The pacing is draggy, and reveals happen too little and too late. Acting is fine overall. Jung Woo is by far the most interesting character. Jaime isn't given much to do even with her FBI background. Hye Won is the weakest link, but seems like she's been given more to do recently. I wish characters would communicate with each other, so they can solve issues faster. They investigate separately, and sometimes figure things out super late when another character already had the answer or missing piece...it just seems like a convenient (and frustrating) way to keep the mystery going.

My theory: The writer wrote a 16-episode drama, the drama gets a great rating, and production "asks" for a second…
This drama could always have had a second season because the webtoon has a second season. Also, they wouldn't change a writer mid-series for that reason.

It's been a long time since I've watched a jdrama. The drama is well made and I can tell it's super big budget (hello empty Shibuya streets). I find it interesting to watch and the life or death games obviously heighten the stakes and intensity, but I'm not emotionally invested. I feel like I was more invested in the first few episodes (now on epi 6). Gore and violence don't usually bother me, but this is one of the more bloody/graphic shows I've seen. The female body shots seem unnecessary (would like much less of that overall).

It's definitely a show people can check out even if they don't watch jdramas or live actions.

Does this show really get better after the first 4 episodes? I felt like the acting is a bit too much and exaggerated,…
That is the vibe of the drama for the rest of the show tbh. It is a pure makjang that you watch for the overly dramatic, shocking and crazy events and characters. Acting is over the top and exaggerated all throughout as well. Hate just about all the characters too. Not much nuance here lol

The drama has been a struggle to watch due to Deuk Cheon and Jo Hye. I want to stick this out for Yang Se Jong and the premise, but those two characters are major parts...bringing the drama quality down. I wish they had been written and acted differently. Also, I had been watching on OndemandKorea, but it's suddenly gone...without warning -_-

I remember watching this drama as it aired, then randomly had to stop as I got busy. I think it was quite fun, but I also remember only enjoying the leads and not caring much for anyone else especially the childhood friends. However, I'm thinking about picking it back up again for Um Ji Won, who was fantastic in Birthplace Center.

I put off watching this drama for so long, and finally decided to watch. I absolutely adore this drama so far (on episode 9). Acting is phenomenal all around. I would've preferred no thriller, but I think it is mostly well mixed in. Mostly a heartwarming, slice of life show with realistic characters and wholesome relationships. I love Yong Shik along with Dong Baek, Pil Goo, Ja Young, and Duk Soon. So many memorable characters. I hear it gets a bit draggy, but as long as I get to spend time with these characters, I don't think it will bother me.

The webtoon is excellent. Stayed up all night then waited every week during season 1. Excited to see how they adapted into a drama.
