No, the 2nd arc they spend a lot of time together. The story got even more interesting imo and fun to see a different side to their characters.

Looks like this will be the next tearjerker for me after Ancient Love Poetry.

I watched a recap of the movie version of this drama and a lot of details were similar to Mister Ostrich. Childhood friends who are desk mates throughout school, smart ML helps FL study hard, their first big misunderstanding was similar too, and ML's life turns up-side-down so he disappears to not become a burden to the FL.

Only big difference was, ML here has both arms.

But yes, I loved the Mister Ostrich novel too. So good.

The scene where Bai Jue saw Tianqi again in the dream area was touching. His first reaction was to run toward Tianqi. You can tell he was feeling guilty for stabbing him.

His sad eyes are very effective in drawing tears.

Judging by the opening scene... looks like he became a pauper and earns a living by telling stories after "placing righteousness over family."

Compared to JJY in Ruyi's Bloom... oh em gee that drama was like a photoshopped photo shoot for her. No matter what kind of scene she had on full makeup.

Yes! That scene also reminded me of how he never got to see her again after waiting for nearly a century. I find solace in knowing that he technically saw her again as Bai Jue (since Qing Mu is an extension of Bai Jue).

I agree. Similar thing with Bai Qian from TMoPB; some complained how bad of a mother she is. People fail to realize her depressed state would not allow her to be a good mother.

In amount of tears shed, ALP got my number. Why? In addition to our two leads, i grew to love and appreciate a lot of the supporting characters. So, their significant scenes were emotional.

Love and Redemption i can recall two major events that caused tears. Not many memorable supporting characters besides FL's sister; some of her scenes were emotional and her acting is really good. The monkey and snake were well liked imo.

AoL, the big betrayal event was heartbreaking along with the events afterward. Oh yeah, plus the tomb scene. 2nd ML as a character was interesting but his toxic, narcissistic, and manipulative actions were terrible. FL was difficult to watch in the beginning but her character growth toward the end was very worth it. Demon Princess was a memorable and well-liked character. Too many fillers to drag the drama on.

TMOPB; too many fillers with Fengjiu so i got annoyed of her whiny character. Some memorable characters. The main draw for me was the love story between the two leads. Lots of emotional scenes too.

I believe it shows their characters are not perfect even as gods. Shanggu stated she's no different from mortals when it comes to her love for Bai Jue. So it's nice to see they have vulnerabilities and mistakes as well.

I feel lucky to live during a time where these dramas are being made.
Loved the story and the many characters. Had plenty of hearty cries.

That episode... i never cried that much from just one episode -- one episode! Hurts real good.

Yeah ALP has become my top xianxa among the others.

Even Muguang's final dialogue with Wu Huan brought tears. Damn. After getting used to his character, you can feel how sad he is and how much he loves her.

Finally rewatching the final 3 episodes again witb subs this time...
