Gosh, there's something to what you wrote. He's kinda like that, true.
Doesn't make sense when his younger version showed so much more emotions! Plus, he spent so many years with his lively wife and making such a positive family... yet he turned into a bigger emotionless robot.
Granted, he made me emotional when he mourned for his father's passing. So, his acting is good but how his character being written is le sigh... :(
Ji Jin Hee is a fav, but my god his character is becoming unbearable. Replace him with a literal cyborg programed to only guard the FL and the results are still the same.
You're not the first person I've heard that took issue with Park Jae Won being an impossibly understanding pushover,…
Oh I know what you mean; I've gone through what he has before as well. The insecurities and internal struggles were very relatable. I was hoping his character would show some growth to gain enough self-respect to not be a doormat anymore.
The audience was able to see her more tender side showing how much she misses/loves him when she's alone. But from his perspective, he experiences the opposite. If I was his friend, I'd call her a manipulative sociopath.
this is exactly how i felt about this drama... it was a mess and they had no idea where they are going... in one…
After all the pain and depression, their scenes devolved into most romcom's plot: two leads start out bumping heads and then fall in love. Oh em gee.
FL never acknowledged the hurt she caused nor did she properly redeem herself. It's like the writers failed attempt at an independent FL while fantasizing a doormat ML.
First half was good and then like most, the second half went down in flames.
Poor attempt by the writers at a "strong FL" finding herself while the ML is a door mat who will forgive/love her even if she murdered his family. Reminded me of She Would Never Know.
I've dropped this show twice because it's so boring. I've heard it gets better after episode 27. How does one…
I thought it got more interesting as the history of the other characters/legends were told. They were well-written; I am actually vested in those characters and how they relate to our main leads.
It's been a year since I learned of the story/ending; I eventually got a new perspective of it, being able to understand, and accept it. Like a revelation. This story doesn't have the usual happy/sad ending so that's quite interesting too -- like you said, refreshing.
I definitely will not watch it because most it’s with mask of Covid-19 I hate this stupidity of what it happens…
Haha! I thought the same thing about the propaganda! But I realized they didn't go overboard -- they wanted to send a positive message of community and unity. USA did similar things after 9/11.
It was worth watching imo. I found myself wanting to watch more til the end mainly because of our leads' chemistry. Their scenes are fun to watch; from first meeting to flirting and then dating. Still, they are mature and support each other through the family stress.

Superb acting from the cast though.
Your comment helped a lot too. Thanks!
