I LOVE THE FEMALE LEAD. She is everything I've always wanted to see in tv shows like these. I usually end up hating the female character in similar tv shows because they're always either damsels in distress or too arrogant which makes them annoying, but she's so clever and so cunning, her whole demeanor makes the show more enjoyable, at least for me. I love her. I hope she doesn't change in future episodes, at least not for worse.

Give them a try, they'll be worth your while. They may be a little creepy but it's nothing too excessive, at least not for me haha. It all depends on preference and taste at the end of the day.

I just finished the first season of Secret Forest and it was so perfect I think it ruined me for other kdramas or dramas in general. It felt as if I had finally found what I was looking for and I felt so overwhelmed and happy watching it or just thinking of it. I don't think I can watch anything else and experience the same emotions, at least not in a while haha. I agree with you about gravitating towards thrillers and action dramas, because they're more entertaining and engaging to the mind. Have you seen Children of Nobody and Strangers from Hell? They're two of my absolute favorites.

This drama is cute, but a tears allergy? That's one of the stupidest allergies they could come up with. Korea…
Honestly, the whole thing about the tear allergy is so ridiculous to me as well. It's illogical, grounding with impossible, as you described. It means that no matter what they try to convince me with throughout the episodes, I will not take it seriously at all. So what if it's a romcom? That doesn't mean that it shouldn't be taken seriously, if the plot and acting are solid and well-written! This one however... It annoyed me from the start. So I stopped watching because there isn't anything, save the solid acting perhaps by the main leads, that distinguishes it from other similar dramas. Maybe the reason behind this is the obvious ennui I have developed for romcoms, at least poorly written romcoms bespeckled with clichés and other ridiculous but well-known tropes that have been overused. There are too many ridiculous romcoms, particularly Chinese and I can't seem to understand as to why people still make them in such a great number. I suppose they do have a big and devoted audience at the end of the day. Mind you, this drama isn't devoid of clichés as well, at least from what I saw in the first episode. Tripping and falling into the hands of your man-to-be? Who finds this heart fluttering and romantic?

Lol that naked guy is soooooo funny, despite his convoluted nature. I couldn't help but laugh at anything he did.

Also, I couldn't help but wonder who makes all of that panda themed gear that Miss Panda wears? I just imagine Naoki sitting into a corner with glue into his hands pasting little black pompoms on things and coloring them black and white. It's funny.

I remember seeing this when the first episode aired and hating it with passion. I don't understand as to what led to that first impression, I suppose it was because I expected the premise to be overly too serious (which, given the main subject of the show and everything going on in Ren's life, it really is serious.) and having encountered the main female character dressed into that ridiculous costume, I couldn't bear watching it a minute longer and decided to never come across it again. But, feeling desperate and without anything new on my watchlist, I came back to it just a few days ago (okkkkk maybe yokohama ryusei is to blame as well ;) ) and I couldn't understand as to why I dropped it in the first place. It is spiced up with a lot of illogical things but ignoring them, it makes up a really entertaining watch and the acting is solid. I haven't reached the end, but I hope Ren wakes up from her daze and finally confronts Naoki, because so far, his hunger for revenge and his insensitivity towards anything that has to do with her is so infuriating I swear I want to punch him.

I don't know why, I suppose it's because of the jelly-looking creatures, jellies, whatever they're called, this reminds me of eXistenZ. They both have similarly looking creatures and they're sooooo weird. I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH. There are some weird movies and tv shows that are almost off putting, but not this one, I just love the emotions it evoked in me. I was confused, sometimes I even wanted to vomit, I felt disgusted, I felt surprised and I COULDN'T STOP WATCHING. I LOVE IT. I use the word weird a lot in this one haha.

It's entertaining, but not as deep as it poses itself to be. As many people here pointed out, the story contains an abundance of plot holes, it's illogical at times, not to mention how ill prepared that whole part about mental illnesses is. The sequence of Song Seung Heon cooking in the 4th of 5th episode was so funny and so cringy at the same time haha, I couldn't.... But despite all of the irreversible errors, it's a fairly good watch, it kept me entertained mainly because I didn't expect anything from it and I didn't need to engage my brain in order to guess what happens next.

Cheng Yi spitting blood when he heard the main female lead will become his sister-in-law cracks me up. Seriously,…
So he keeps spitting blood huh? I don't know why I find it so funny, it's not supposed to be funny but the comments here and on the Love and Redemption tag make me laugh so much.

It's funny how everyone wants to see Xuan Ji suffering. To be honest I'm tired of seeing Si Feng tormented, bloodied and battered all of the time. Cut him some slack come on, my boy's had enough.

I am only up to ep 12 yet and I really like the plot but the directing is really so so. I kept thinking if there…
I agree with you, although the male actor is significantly better than the female in many aspects. I find some of her expressions cringe-worthy , you can see her trying too hard and it's uncomfortable. I honestly believe they should've selected someone else to play this role, she has neither the stature nor the poise to be this dangerous goddess that possesses massive power. I think this is a problem for Chinese dramas, they cast people who are not suitable for the character because of countless reasons.

The WEBTOON is much better. It deserved a good adaptation and this isn't one. They even removed a black female…
I was so annoyed by that as well. Susan in the webtoon is SO GREATI loved her!

I am interested as to the age of the main female character...from what I could gather, she's roughly around 15/16 so that means she's still a child, which makes the actress' portrayal of the character more justified. When it comes to the rest of the series, I don't know...I suppose I do understand the bad reviews, it's disappointing in its own way. Leo is great as always, I love him as an actor and I hope he does something better in future.

I've commented not a while ago, how I'd give this show a chance solely because of the great source material and the great cast but...I don't think so anymore. I don't want to be one of those: "ugh it's nothing like the comic book" kind of people, but they really stray sooooo far from the plot in many ways that the whole show is starting to seem like a joke. The characters who are supposed to be these elite agents are instead transformed into little damsels in distress who can't save themselves let alone save anyone else (I mean I was literally enraged when Gwangcheol got himself and that girl kidnapped, then didn't do anything when she died, I mean he IS SUPPOSED TO BE TRAINED FOR THOSE KIND OF SITUATIONS, not to mention that the same thing happened to him before, HOW ON EARTH COULD HE NOT ASSESS THE SITUATION PROPERLY AND SAVE HIMSELF AND THE GIRL? Was I asking for too much? If he can't do that then what's the point of him? I suppose we needed to see some "good" drone action, and the team looking good kicking ass together, that's why. Stupid.). My main problem is MINA. She is such a focal character in the comic book and here Ki Beom literally takes her role in many ways and it makes me so angry... And the subtle romance (or whatever it is, I don't know how it progresses since I've stopped watching) between Ki beom and Mina? HOW? WHY? Must they always think of fan service even when it affects the quality of the show ? I don't know what to say anymore, I am so disappointed mainly because I was anticipating this show so much and it let me down...Give the source material to someone else, I bet they can do a better job than OCN. This is not the first time OCN has disappointed me, I should've known they're capable of that when I watched Black.

This whole thing doesn't take itself seriously, so why would we take it seriously?
It does absolutely no justice to Yang Yang, I can't even begin to understand as to how he came around the idea of being a part of this. He's a better actor than this show gives him credit for, I remember watching it a year ago because he was in it but I swear to God I couldn't get past the 3rd episode, I kept putting it on hold and watching everything else, it was that bad. Many a times I've reprimanded myself for watching something just because I happen to like the actors and yet I do it again. I liked Yang Yang in 10 Miles of Peach Blossom (the movie) and I decided to watch other works of his so I stumbled upon this..."masterpiece" haha. I just watched the first episode again just to remind myself how much I've hated it before and lo and behold I still feel the same. I hope he never does something alike again, it does him no good, people actually think he's a bad actor and he's not, I can promise. The outcome of this is purely directorial mistake better said disaster, because he's not the only actor into this show who seems too cringy for his own good, EVERYONE ELSE IS INSUFFERABLE AS WELL.

This is the only drama I've watched where I like the two main leads more than the plot or anything in the show itself. They look so good together and I might just work against my own will here and finish this. The dubbing is as unpleasant as ever, the subtitles are a wreck, some of the CGI is beyond ridiculous, I've read somewhere that they worked on a budget maybe that's why. The only acting that I sincerely like is that of the female lead and the male lead, the rest didn't pique my interest. I've loved Zhao Lu Si in everything I've seen her so far and I think she did well with this role too. I hope she and Zheng Ye Cheng do more dramas together, something with a better quality and better plot.
