Why there were no answer of what that cutie boy Nie did? I'm sorry for being oot but he's so pretty remind me…
If you are talking about nei huaisang then it was revealed at the end that he was actually the mastermind behind everything (i.e. he is the one who devised a plan to bring wei wuxian back to life through mo xuan yu, he planted the sword in mo mansion, he was the one who sent A-Su that letter, he was also the one who made those two ladies tell their story in Lotus Pier.). It becomes a lot more clear on a re-watch tbh. Nei Huaisang is a genius.
And Yiling Laozu(trans: Yiling Patriarch) is the title given to wei wuxian after he settled in yiling with the wen clan remnants. There is no wei ying clan. And yes, you can read the novel if you want to know things in detail.
idk if it is a subbing error or what but ep 1 is supposed to be 16 years after wwx death and ep 3 (when the flashback…
oh it's because a lot of years had passed since wwx's time in gusu. 6 months in gusu, then the whole wen clan arc spanned a few months/or a year, 3 months in burial mounds, a couple months till wwx gets disowned from jiang sect, then 1+ years as yiling laozu so yeah the whole thing definitely spanned 3ish years. If wwx was 15 when the summer school started then according to me, he was like 18/19/20 when he died. So it can't be set 16 years ago. I don't think they mention the ages in cql but we can take a guess based on novel (assuming the only thing that was changed was a 16 years post death gap as compared to 13 years in the book).
Is it just me that cant get over the xue yang and xing chen storyline? The whole plot of the show is just outstanding…
ikr :(( yi city arc is extremely heart-wrenching and tragic. It's amazing how those characters were so fully fleshed out despite having limited screen time.
I have a quick question! So at the start of the first episode it says "Sixteen years ago," as in it's been sixteen…
idk if it is a subbing error or what but ep 1 is supposed to be 16 years after wwx death and ep 3 (when the flashback starts) is supposed to be 19-20 years from the present time.
Gave the untamed a try since everyone was raving about it and it has such a high rating! Must sadly say that it…
Hi! Just wanna add that watching just the first 3 episodes is definitely not enough to get a feel of this drama. I would suggest you watch at least upto episode 7 so that you can make an adequate judgement. Honestly, the show shines when you watch it completely because that's when everything falls into place and the end result is just, so so beautiful. If you really want to know why it has such a high rating, I recommend you finish the show first ^^
it's interesting to see the disparity between international and chinese audience. While this drama has got such…
Douban ratings, in this case, do not reflect the quality of the drama as it originally had a score of 8.2 (which is a pretty good score from douban standards, others feel free to correct me because I don't really remember if it was 8.2 or higher) but due to the unfortunate XZ incident, a hoard of antis downvoted the drama to oblivion leading to decrease in ratings. Also, NIF is rated by 460k people while The Untamed has 1.4 million ratings, so that might also be a reason why the difference exists. Anyway, I am sure NIF is a great drama but I can't comment on it since I haven't seen it myself but what I can tell you is that in my years of consuming media and stories non-stop, no show has managed to develop such a strong foothold in my heart as the untamed did. I do hope you go into it with an open mind and I hope you end up loving it as much as the rest of us here do!
It's Okay to Not Be Okay (2020) is another hyped drama I fell for all the ratings, reviews, and Netflix recommendations…
As this is The Untamed discussion page, personally, I don't think it's a good idea to bring up other shows for comparison but if you are really intrigued and I highly recommend you watch The Untamed as it is one of THE best stories that I have encountered in any storytelling platform ever (be it movies, tv shows, anime or books). And yes, I have seen the hyped drama that was mentioned by you and I agree with you but I would still say you watch the untamed so you can see for yourself why it is so universally loved! I am sure you won't be disappointed.
The way I check this page everyday like it's a full-time job lol. It's always great to see a community this loving and dedicated towards a work of art. The Untamed, what a masterpiece.
He is THE Yiling Patriarch :) On a more serious note, it's been made clear that his method of cultivation is powerful…
I was thinking the same that because he practices demonic cultivation, he may have found a way but yeah it's just a theory so I was hoping someone had a more sure/concrete answer.
is there? I am sort of new here so I don't know but I think people from other dramas are competing for most number of comments. Does/did The Untamed have the most number of comments on the website?

But yes, our wuxi has phenomenal chemistry with every character lol
