I'm telling you if that wife cheated then I hope she's dead with that b@stard child. Usually Japanese male characters…
Interesting that somehow you think Maho and Atsuto should just die but you don't mention anything about what should happen to Hayashi or what he did when he was the one who was actively trying to get with a married woman.
Dude I wasted my time watching this drama, why drag it to season 2, like we literally get no information from…
they used the same format for Anata no ban Desu too and it was so annoying. I had forgot and I got to the end of episode 10 and was like noooo not again!
But somehow i like this drama anyway (besides for the ending with granny on the roof. I mean why?) Nishijima is amazing and I like Kyoko Yoshine.
The one thing I don't like is some of the overacting from some of the characters who are just over the top creepy. But that was also in Anata. The weird camera closeups and expressions and the music are just a little much sometimes.
Ep 8 was cute since it had the main characters from Anata show up and they're the cutest couple ever.
I don't know what's harder to watch: Matsuhige being the creepiest I've ever seen him in or that the main character's husband slept with her mother and he seems to wish he could do it again but doesn't want to hurt his wife.
So excited to see another LGBTQ+ character in a jdrama. Although honestly it's turning into a harem. I mean 3 people like Mamoru so far... (watching ep 7)
i didn't recognize Kagawa at first he looks so different with the curly hair and glasses! I'm so excited I can actually watch this legally and at the same time as Japan! I also couldn't find it easily. It's definitely not getting as much publicity as Squid Game that's for sure.
the episodes are short but they pack in a lot somehow. Yoshida and Kunimura are great and it's interesting but I find I have to be in the right mood to watch it.
I don't understand having characters lipsync the ending theme. The new Matsu Tokako drama has the same thing and sometimes it's cute and othertimes it's just weird.
I don't see what is wrong if we do fantasise French culture〜 fantasy is often better than the real thing in…
Exactly, just like I'm enjoying Japanese culture by watching this. Now am I going to get on a plane and expect people to behave like they do in jdramas? No.
The point of the story so far is MIfune solving the various "mysteries" about customers in a somewhat Sherlockian…
I'm not seeing anything in this drama that fantasizes racism here. Sexism... well that's more because there's a large problem with sexism in Japan.
Also I would hope that if someone was travelling to a country far away they would research the actual country before getting on a plane. That's called stupidity otherwise.
I do think people should get informed about the realities of any country and don't just think it's this fantasy dream land. I mean I love Japan but do I think it's this perfect place? Obviously not.
I don't see any real danger in this jdrama. Unless it gets bad after the first episode? I don't see anything racist in it for example.
I'm always amazed how japanese (and korean too) are fantasizing France ... "pas mal" is far from a compliment. In…
The point of the story so far is MIfune solving the various "mysteries" about customers in a somewhat Sherlockian manner. Hopefully there might be more about Mifune's past or other characters' past. Shows like this tend to have plots like that.
I tend to watch whatever Nishijima's in but Hamada Gaku is good in this too.
Fantasizing about different cultures is what every culture does and I don't see a problem with it. Japan fantasizes about France. France fantasizes about Japan. etc etc. And yes maybe it would be nice if they got some facts correct in the end this is not about a bistro in France but a France-inspired bistro in Japan.
A visit to these kinds of places isn't going to be an authentic visit. I once went to a Texan bar in Toronto. Was it an authentic Texan bar experience? No, it was a Canadian's idea of a Texan experience which was perfectly fine too.
