I just finished watching the show and I must say that it's nothing extraordinary. It's a decent watch, but it…
It was a good story, but like you said, nothing extraordinary. Personally, I thought Ma Sang Goo and Woo Soo Ji had a far more interesting story than the main character's.
After having watched "One Spring Night", everything else is so bland and "Because This is My First Life" is no exception.
It's still worth watching but it's not an 8.7.

On Another Miss Oh Jun 15, 2020
I watched this show after watching One Spring Night so I tried very hard not compare them.
That being said, I think Another Miss Oh was pretty good.
I loved Oh Hae Young portrayed by Seo Hyun-Jin. She just felt natural.
Also, as other mentioned, kissing scenes were very...passionate.
It took me 3-4 episodes to get into the story. At first, I didn't like the ML character. But the more the story unfolded, the more I understood him.
Overall, it's a very good show worth watching. Don't hesitate to pick it up.

Conversely, every 10 minutes feels like an hour whenever I wait for the next episode of this drama.
OK, just bought this ost. I don't remember the last time I did this :D
Great buy. To bad sound engineer butchered it.
Those songs are on the quiet side and the engineer kinda forgot...to bad.
Great OST tho.

haha
I've seen Jung Hae-in in a couple if other shows he was in but for me, Han Ji-min is a big revelation.
What an awesome actress.
I will sure check other projects she's been in. The only drawback is that I will always compare other characters she played to Lee Jeong-in.
Argh...

Title Hi Bye, Mama! Spoiler
"Hi Bye, Mama!" is a drama composed of nicest characters. No antagonist. Just LIFE (mainly about accepting death)…
Yes.
But I would also add, being a parent or single parent in SK.
Even if Min Jung married Gang Hwa and became SW's mother, people still gossip about her.

It’s a very realistic ending. It’s not what the viewers would hope for because everyone would like a happy…
Yes. I think the whole point to this is being a single parent in SK. Once SW becomes an adult, Gang Hwa and Min Jung can do whatever they want.

Title Hi Bye, Mama! Spoiler
i think He’s the cause of this mess too. If he copes better, everyone would have been so much happier. Min Jung…
I never understood why Gang Hwa's grief lasted for so long. Maybe the writers should've consulted a phycologist and include more realistic behaviors for him into the script.
As for Yu ri’s family, I think it all has to do with SK culture. Being a single parent in SK is not well perceived. So, Yu ri made sure Gang Hwa remains with Min Jung even if he doesn't love her.
I still need subtitles but I'm starting to understand korean more and more and Yu ri never used the word "love". She used to word "like".

Title Hi Bye, Mama! Spoiler
I watched "Hi, Bye Mama" when it came out on Netflix and didn't understand a few things here and there.Sure, it's…
With a more open-minded view, I totally understand why Yu Ri was pushing Gang Hwa toward Min Jung.
I never saw it on that angle and it totally makes sense.
The "seeing ghost" was just an excuse. Yu ri knew what would happen to Gang Hwa if he remained a single dad. She wanted to make sure it wouldn't happen to him.
In the end, Gang Hwa never really had a choice. He's married with someone he likes, but not love. All for Seo Woo's sake.
That's an interesting way talking about a serious matter that plagues SK.

On Hi Bye, Mama! Jun 10, 2020
I watched "Hi, Bye Mama" when it came out on Netflix and didn't understand a few things here and there.
Sure, it's a heartfelt story with very good acting and I was convinced there were more to it than meets the eye.
Why is Cha Yu Ri acting this way...So I drawn my own north american conclusions and moved on to another show.
A few days ago, I finished watching "One Spring Night" and it made me think more about South Korea's culture and one in particular, being a single parent.
So, I ended up watching "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=486bxVeDpIo", and couldn't believe it. Wow...is this for real in 2020?

I just watched this (a year after you) and I am totally like you are describing right now...LOL
I just loved the chemistry between Ji-ho and Jeong-in. It just felt so real.

Mm if you think about people who break away from long term relationships, stuff like this happens. I have seen…
OSN was great at addressing single father issues but I never thought being this bad in SK.
After watching this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=486bxVeDpIo, I was completely speechless. It made me rethink shows like OSN and Hi Bye, Mama! As why some characters did what they did.

Title One Spring Night Spoiler
How is what she did considered cheating? It's perfectly normal for someone's feelings to change and relationships…
Where is the "cheating"?
Technically, they were still dating but emotionally, it was long over.
Even Ki Seok admitted he went to nude clubs. He was also saying to Jeong-in they should break up. And to make matter worst, Ki Seok's father didn't approve their relationship. It was over before the show even began. Look at how they behave to each other in the first 2 episodes.
They were both aware of this and she was ready to move on but hasn't find any reason to do it. Ji-ho was the push she needed.
I know she lied to Ki Seok but he still didn't care all that much or at all for her. She was just "something" he used to boost his image and reputation.
She wanted something completely different.
From my point of view, she did the right thing for her.
I don't think the show endorses cheating but rather explains why she did what she did.

So basically Ki Seok is a psycho lol
I wouldn't call him psycho.
He's not a bad guy overall. But from his point of view, his image is more important than anything else. Being dumped for someone he despises hasn't help either. He gave all the answers we needed.
The show didn't give us the elapsed time from start to finish. If it was 3 months, then I understand his persistence.

Title One Spring Night Spoiler
It depends on what you consider as "cheating"
Jeong-in and Ki Seok's relationship was pretty much over at the beginning of the show.
They almost never talked or looked at each other. Remember the scene at the restaurant, after the basketball game when she dropped her chopsticks? Ji-ho immediately gave her new ones while Ki Seok didn't even notice the scene.
They're were lots of hints as to where their relationship was. So, when she accepted to meet Ji-ho at his pharmacy, Ki Seok was already out of her life even if she told Ji-ho she was getting married.
Technically, they were still dating but emotionally, it was over. She just didn't realize it then.
So, for me, she was not cheating. She was just moving on.

Yeah, and its funny how those same children try to control their children's lives too. Its a cycle which can't…
No matter where you are from, when a father approves the rape of her daughter like he did, it's just disgusting...

I wanted it to be more episodes!
In Game of Thrones, I grew tired of Jamie always wanting to be with his twin sister after4-5 episodes of the first year. Now, 8 years later, he runs back to her only die with her? Pffft…what’s the point. 8 seasons for that ending?

I feel the same way about the actors. Not sure if everything was scripted and if they improvised here and there.Remember…
Yes.
Same when she was in his apartment apologizing and started crying. He wiped her eyes and lean to kiss her and slipped. haha
And after she scolded him for lying to her. They ran off to his bedroom and ended up rolling on his bed and then hit the night table. Priceless
I've seen both and liked One Spring Night a whole lot better for several reasons.
As for the music, I agree with you. The music is half the story and they nailed it. But, they used the same 4-5 songs over and over to the point it becomes to repetitive.
They should've hired someone and make background music off those songs so they could use them to move the story forward when needed. They're are different tricks music engineers do in big budget movies that we simply don't notice and could've been done here also.

Overall, it's a great, underrated show and I miss those characters already.
For me, Han Ji-min was so great as Lee Jeong-in.

I feel the same way about the actors.
Not sure if everything was scripted and if they improvised here and there.
Remember when she join him on the couch and they fell off of it? I'm pretty sure they improvised but it felt so real.
As for coincidences, well let just say it's plausible.
It actually happened to me, dating someone after I lost track of her for 17 years. We bumped into each other at Walmart ... lol

Overall, best kdrama I've seen so far.

Well, now I have to watch it! (Plus Jung Hae In has the most radiant smile!)
For me, it was Han Ji Min's eyes and physical gestures. Wow.
I don't know how she is in RL but she feels so real and honest.
