I know I'm supposed to hate Seo In Ho but why do I kind of love his scenes? He's so pathetic that my stomach hurts from laughing so hard, especially when he's with Roy Kim
Doctors are human too, good if you have the highest standard but in real life people are biased or can have weaknesses.…
Doctors are human, but they should be held to a higher standard in society because of the nature of their job. Maybe I'm just used to it because I come from a family of doctors and I am also a medical student, but unprofessionalism, letting personal beliefs/ biases affect your professional judgements (be it when hiring people) and lack of candour are serious breaches. And it is something that would definitely be investigated if a collegue raises a professionalism concern with your medical governing body. For me (as someone who had to sit through numerous lectures on medical ethics as part of our curriculum), CSH feeling disappointed when CJS survived her liver transplant surgery AND also tried to convince the husband to not donate his liver out of jealousy are huge red flags. On these grounds, she has already broken the non-maleficience principle of medical ethics. If this were real life, and a concern was risen regarding her behaviour, she would definitely at least have her license suspended.
BUT, I do understand this is just a lighthearted drama and I currently sound like I have a stick up my ass. My point is just that CSH and SIH aren't good doctors. And although unlikely in the drama, in real life they would likely face some form of repercussion if a concern was risen.
Aside from everything that is clearly wrong about the affair, Choi Sung Hee's ethics are irritating the hell out of me! For her to pray for another women's death AND try to stop SIH from donating his liver (even though it is a life-saving surgery) says a lot about her as a doctor when her job revolves around 'doing no harm'. You can't be a doctor if you don't sincerely believe in the ethics of medicine, no matter the circumstances. Not only that, but she's also proven to be unprofessional along with the husband, when they let their biases cloud their judgement on whether or not to hire CJS. As doctors, if they really cared about having the best outcome for their patients, they would sincerely consider CJS as a candidate as she's proven to have the qualities that would make her a genuinely good physician.
I know this is just a lighthearted comedy, but in real life I would hope the both of them would at least be suspended.
choo sung hoon is my pick!! hope he wins. his leadership skills are really something else, the way he guided and…
i agree. i really liked how in the sand filling challenge, he said his team has a 50:50 chance of winning but they might be able to shift it slightly if they were strategic. whereas the other losing team claimed they had an 80% chance of winning because they had more young members. shows how arrogance can cloud your judgement
Even though it is realistic, disabled people facing discrimination, being bullied and receiving any sort of unkind…
This!! @lemonade took the words right out of my mouth.
If someone is actively ableist, why shouldn't they hold some degree of accountability. I disagree with OP's comment "don't blame LJH family". Parental love does not excuse bigotry. And why should empathy be given to those who are complicit.
And despite OP's insinuations, how do they know how all of us would feel as parents. Everyone has different sets of values.
My current partner has a disability and my parents are thankfully supportive of us. And i don't doubt I will treat my future children's partners any different.
I mean, it wasn't that many in the Good Doctor. Plus, I'd argue its relevant if it shows Shaun's navigation through…
Patients are allowed to have sex lives though. There's nothing wrong with talking about it in a medical setting. It's rather healthy. In fact, in real life there are much more bizarre occurances or conversations that happen in hospitals. Sex as a topic is very much a drop in the ocean of what can happen in hospitals, trust me.
I see now from the future Daniel Dae kim the korean american director producing this drama to Americans similar…

I want to watch this but I just can't stand LBH speaking English. I cringed so much during the 1st episode. I…
And how many languages do you speak? Why do native english speakers always look down on non natives for not sounding proficient or fluent? Before you criticise or cringe, maybe recognise and appreciate non natives making the effort to learn a new language like english, especially if their country's national language isn't a romance language. It reeks of pretentiousness and ignorance. Why, I would love to sit down with you and quiz you on a language that's not your mother tongue to see how perfect of a linguist your ego seems to suggest you are :)

She's also fantastic in Age of Youth! She plays a really funny but perverted character in it. I recommend checking that out ^^
