Not a very good actress. Not bad. But not very good either. Actors with bland, wooden, and expressionless faces in nearly every scene is not the hallmark of a talented actor. She's also got to be the worst kisser I've ever seen! She performs her kissing scenes like a dead fish! After "Just Between Lovers" I will make sure to avoid anything she's in from here on out.
This woman is simply captivating and exquisite as well as being a talented actress! Only saw her in a brief role on "Move To Heaven." Looking forward to seeing something else that she's in! She was my favorite female character.
Suzy Bae needs to work on her acting skills. She's not bad, but she's not great either. She always has the same expression on her face. I wished "Vagabond" would have had a much better actress in the role of Go Hae Ri...someone like Doona Bae, who always brings intelligence and a presence to her roles! Bae is just a "pretty" girl in her roles trying to figure out how to act. I'm also tired of Korean actresses acting like 13-year-old kids in romantic scenes. It gets old really fast.
Thanks, Joy! That scene was also fantastic! In fact, there were quite a few that could have been chosen. For some reason, the seen with Rin-Yi really stood out for me. I'm an ESL teacher who's taught in China, Korea, and Taiwan. I know how challenging it can be--especially for young women over there--to make those kinds of choices. In Taiwan, I had an 8-year-old student whose mother had already told her what she was going to be doing with her life.
But, you're right. The writing is largely what made this series so wonderful to watch!
Fantastic actress with incredible range. I heard that she's a smoker. I hope it's not true, but if it is, I hope she quits. Black lungs and a slow, painful death from poisoning the body is not what I'd like to see her experience. Looking forward to seeing more things from her!
