I've seen Liberation Notes--a great series, but I have yet to watch Reply 1988, which everyone is telling me to…
Even my mom watched "Mr. Sunshine," and she agreed it was one of the best TV shows she's ever seen. If you loved "My Dearest," then I really think you can't go wrong with "Mr. Sunshine."

Thank you very much! If you're really into historical romantic dramas, for my money, you still can't beat "Mr. Sunshine." "My Dearest" was tremendous, but I still put "Mr. Sunshine" slightly above it (not by much though!). "Our Beloved Summer" is my favorite romantic drama of the "younger" persuasion. And, of course, I still adore "Descendants of the Sun."
Such a shame that this incredibly talented actress was part of this awful movie! Would have been better if they had just stuck to being a survival movie. This is what happens when the writer overthinks the plot.
Who hasn't! That's what made her performance, and this movie, so captivating and relatable! Take a lesson from Han Yeon Seok--love and accept people for who they are, not for who you want them to be.
"the Judeo-Christian spin on things"??? Huh? I dropped this just before Ep 6. Wondering if I should start…
Many Koreans are Christians. I know because I lived and worked there. I don't subscribe to "heaven" or "hell" or a "vengeful/fearful" God. When I overlooked these things, I found this to be a wonderful series!
She was rough around the edges, but she had far more good qualities, and definitely perfect for Park SaeRoyi, given that two strong people are good together. And in the end, she rectified some of her objectionable behavior which is what good people do. Didn't see anything wrong with the kiss at all. It was touching.
It's really a shame that this young woman has such body image issues. Getting her eyelids done in junior high school. Being upset about her "chubby cheeks" and getting a nose job (all things she's stated). There aren't many things more unappealing than a fake woman; someone who is so superficial that they can't think of anything else. I can only hope and pray that she finds some peace and happiness because she clearly has neither. The irony of being obsessed with the body is that time and age will always change it. That's a fact.
To be fair, I have only seen her in "All of Us Are Dead" and, frankly, I was not impressed at all with her performance. Very wooden and robotic, lacking any real emotion or chemistry with the other actors. It's like she overthinks what she's doing, and so her acting comes across as forced and not natural. Hope she's gotten better, but I definitely will be passing on the second season.
I just finished this...skip if you're looking for romance.
If you're into weak women, then you're right. And make no mistake, Oh Soo-Ah is a weak, cowardly woman. It's funny how many people fear a strong woman.
You must be an American. Anything is considered sexual harassment! Figures, given you have some of the highest sex crimes in the world. Only a person who fears a strong woman would hate Yi-Seo. But, hey, That's okay. You're entitled to your opinion, and not everyone feels comfortable with a strong woman. They prefer a maid or a mom instead of a woman.
