HJP is your financial advisor who suggest you purchase blue chip stocks like Microsoft, and Apple, and argues that the growth of such stocks would not be that big, but more consistent. He also provides clear exit strategy and stop losses to mitigate losses.
While NDS if the guy on Youtube who is telling you to buy penny stocks, and giving you clickbait titles like "How to Be The Next Steve Jobs in 3 Easy Steps". He encourages you to dump all your money in this penny stock as you will become an instant millionaire. He has no exit strategy, and when the penny stock tanks, he will be nowhere to be found.
SDM is the girl who is constantly looking for the next get rich quick scheme to compete with her sister.
And in the end it's a luck thing. The youtube guy is not always wrong, but his way is more risky, and it will depend on your risk tolerance. HJP's way will not hit many home runs, but your portfolio will grow, and your going to be more emotionally stable.
HJP's method will most likely persevere regardless of the economic status. But in times of great economic pandemic, the penny stocks NDS recommends will tank like crazy, while the Blue Chips will weather the storm better, and provide you with better sheltering.
So in the context of Start Up, HJP represents a more dependable love. HJP isn't so angsty and lovey dovey compared to NDS, and to some it may seem not as passionate because he isn't throwing away everything for SDM. NDS represents that overzealous passionate guy, who is great with how much he would do for the girl, and how hot his passion burns. But the minute the passion dies out, the frigid cold of apathy will wash over SDM, and then she'll wish she found shelter in the warm HJP.
I had been so scared to watch this, because I heard that the sls broke everyone's heart! But no, I loved this…
There have been other people from the industry and field, who also disliked the portrayal, and felt it didn't portray the industry well. This proves that sometimes, you may have the same background, history and experience as somebody else, and yet you will still have different opinions on the same thing. And that is just human nature.
And all these comments, reviews, and opinions simply show the majority sentiment, but it's not set in stone, you can still have an opinion different from the majority opinion, there is no rule against it. Just like in most countries, there are two political parties, and even though at the end of elections, there is a majority winner, there are still people who disagree. There have been dramas like PBIO, where majority loved it and rated it high, but you still have people who were bored by it, and disliked it. Don't be discouraged by the critical opinions, whether you are in the majority or minority sentiment, it doesn't matter, all that matters is your personal experience.
Similar to cooking shows, or shows like Top Chef and Master Chef, where the life of a chef is over glamorized and made to look easy, Start Up serves the same purpose of overs implying business and entrepreneurship to make it look easy and inspire people to tackle it.
In terms of growing together, I feel the ML and FL had a codependent relationship that is troubling in today's current society. Normally in a relationship, there should always be one person who acts as a moral barometer in the relationship, but when both ML and FL refuses to check the "weather", there are signs that continued co-existence will result in a tumultuous storm increase daily. I didn't understand how the couple, who is according to some, MFEO, didn't communicate well at all. There was so much information either hidden, or never bothered unraveling about both of them, that left me confused.
Actually in HJP didn't really have a family. He has Grandma, but he is not part of Grandma's family. It's not realistic that he would still be a big part of Grandma's family now that NDS is there. It's a harsh reality, not much different from how adopted kids are treated versus the real kids of the adopted mother/father.
Feel free to post more here if you'd like to discuss the show more :)))
Vague spoiler ahead. The first six episodes are good, but the plot dies a slow and painful death. It's eventually…
Most dramas that invest HEAVILY in a love triangle will have tons of Shippers on both sides of the coin.
But this drama did not perform well in Korea, barely breaking 5%, and dropping in the last few episodes.
A lot of it had to do with the way the writer wrote the characters. Internationally it did well, because international fans love their Ship Wars :)))) I mean look at vampire diaries, twilight, and Star Wars even.
If any one are wondering what's the deleted comment is"I am enjoying your comments crybaby.Cry like this for few…
If don't think you can see what's wrong with the comment, let me point it out to you in point form.
1. You are goading here, being an ungracious winner, and reveling in the sadness/frustration of others. In short, it's borderline sadism. You enjoy seeing the suffering of other people. The more people "Cry", the happier you get, in fact your constant presence in these comment sections seems to only feed your need to see people unhappy with the show. This is classic sadism.
2. You are shaming a person for venting our their frustrations because they differ from your own perspective. By attaching negativity in their thoughts, which were in the beginning fairly neutral, you are implying that thoughts that are not similar to yours are to be shamed and ridiculed.
3. You are insulting the poster by implying that they do not have the right to their opinion to be sad. And you negatively reinforce this by calling Polo a crybaby. Thus completing the shaming of the poster without regards to how they may feel with such shaming.
4. Instead of stopping at just your first statement, you decide to double, and triple down on your comment, to maximize the shame you planned to impart to the poster. Unfortunately for you, Polo didn't seem affected by your toxic post, and so your intended reaction from Polo did not materialize.
If Polo chooses to write about a drama, regardless of the slant, it should be respected, because it's Polo's opinion. Just like if you had an opinion about the show, we'll respect it. But it won't stop us from arguing the logic/semantics/morals of your view. But a debate and criticism of a POV/Opinion is what MDL comment section is all about.
Now, attacking other posters personally, well that is just classic toxic troll. And i'm sure you know that.
Respecting other people is something you should try learning.
It's shaming someone for posting their opinions. It's bullying someone because they don't share your views, and frankly, your the only one adding any toxicity to these comment sections. At a time when mental health issues abound, you should be careful and sensitive with what you write. You've been called out for your toxic behavior, and yet you still justify and defend it.
If you feel so confident there was nothing wrong with your post, why did you delete it? To be honest, I really thought you were just some harmless troll. You even at times had some wits about you, but now, you've just gone full on toxic troll.
Hopefully you learn from your mistake, and do better. Also, I pray to God, you do not treat people in real life like this, because it's just not cool and frankly, I don't think they deserve it.
I know you love shaming people for commenting a lot, but what people do with their time is up to them. If they want to live in the comment section, that is their choice. Plus when I post, I want to engage in conversation, and create discussion. When you post, all you do is "Try" to spread hate, key word here being try. Don't you get it? Most people just ignore your post, or probably already have you blocked. What happens when nobody pays attention to you anymore?
Nope, what you are doing is universally wrong. And when I see injustice, I speak up for it. There is no really justifying it unfortunately. You can create other accounts to agree with you, but in the end, your the one who is looking petty here, and all I can do is smile at it :))))
Don't be affected by those type of post Polo, we got your back :)))
The article I read mentioned that she hasn't had much jobs recently, and it may have made her depressed. Plus add to that the insane beauty standards in Kdrama, suicide is a possibility. But let's not jump to conclusions.
Really puts things in perspective, and how short life can be.
Kind of mean don't you think? Like, make fun of HJP all you want, but how about you stop attacking other posters?
Maybe take some time and reflect in yourself, life is short, and your making fun of people in a comment section is not helping. Not everyone has your strong mental, and someday your words are going to cause serious harm, and then karma will come back for you. So maybe, choose your words more carefully in the future.
I pray, this is just your internet troll persona and not how you are in real life...
FYI, a Kdrama actress passed away today at 26 years old. Maybe take a break from your trolling, and come back tomorrow.
I'm having a bad day today. Occasionally it hits me again and I regret ever watching this drama. Someone said…
I have a response to this, but it's a really long one. So i'm going to wait when I have time to write it.
I want to discuss an issue plaguing society. The question is, is there any point in being a "Good Boy"? Is being a good person rewarding? And finally, we will delve into the people in society, who just love to take advantage of the "Good Boy's" in the world.
I think for the most part, there will always be someone better for any role, because there are tons of great actors/actresses…
Yes, as a woman, I think US offers a lot more opportunities for women as compared to a lot of Asian countries. Plus there is definitely less pressure in beauty standard, and there is less judgement and discrimination.
I think I would describe HJP and NDS like this.
I thought I've reached legendary status already, I'm miffed >:(

To be honest, even if you don't get SLS, the writing goes downhill after 6 episodes. A lot of plot holes this one has.
1. You are goading here, being an ungracious winner, and reveling in the sadness/frustration of others. In short, it's borderline sadism. You enjoy seeing the suffering of other people.
