Seeing as Snowdrop tends to caricaturized and over exaggerate certain characters. Which characters can you relate with in real life?

1. Ms. Pi, I actually went to an all girl's school in my youth, and Ms. Pi really reminds me of our directress. She was really strict and rarely friendly. I didn't stay in a dorm though, so I am not sure if she would have run it that way, but I remember all the girls being afraid of her.

2. Old man's son is a weird choice, since he is a minor character, but I've actually met quite a few people, men and women who go thru life blaming their parents for what they have become, yet at the same time mooching off them.

3. Boon ok I feel is one of the most humanly realistic character in snowdrop. Her feelings, inferiority complex, and abject jealousy all seem too familiar. I've seen them in other people, I've even seen some of it In myself. She may not have much dialogue of plot associated with her, but that's ok, since she's the one that feels most relatable anyway.

Leaked Script of the Final Scene

Soo Ho: 25, 26, 27...

Young Ro: Your almost there! Keep going!

Soo Ho: 28... 29... 30!

Soo Ho hops off down. Sweat glistening of his chiseled abs. Exhausted, but exhilarated for having completed his mission, he turns around to put on his tight black shirt.

Soo Ho: Shirt on or shirt off?

Young Ro: Off

Kang Moo: Off

Scene fades to black...

Can we at least get "One Way Ticket" in the final ep? There's no way we'd get 3 references towards the beginning…
One way ticket? I don't remember this?

Why despise him?For me despise and hate are big words to use on someone
His acting, I am not a fan of his acting. Edited for clarification.

I have no problems with Lee Min Ho the person.

I say give it a chance! The "most expensive" part is enough to make me try a drama even if I hate the genre/actors/directors…
Yup, it has me curious.

Plus gong Hyo jin has good taste in scripts so if she signs on, it will be good.

Acting.

Gong Hyo jin is a legend. Lee min ho as you said, does not act well despite his longevity.

I can feel like her character was written to be tragic. We're supposed to feel bad for her, and of course I do...…
Tragedy their romance is not. If Young Ro is destined to die, I don't think I will shed a tear. I mean it would be sad, just because she's only 20 years old and has so much more things to accomplish, but that would be it for me.

I feel the writing expects us to feel connected with the couple by showing us an unspoken type of love, similar to Wal-E. But the thing is, Wal-E and Eve, although they lacked any type of dialogue was a great movie that actually had great character development for it's protagonist Wal-E. And his love for Eve made total sense. It's amazing how Disney is able to create these well written plots like Wal-E with little dialogue, but seem to be struggling with Snowdrop?

In Snowdrop, the only character that get's built up well is Soo Ho, and 85% of his character has almost nothing to do with Young Ro, other than the fact he feels guilty for what he has done to her. His arc is mostly an inner conflict between his ideologies and his loyalty to his father, which up to now hasn't been explained.

You know sometimes you will watch a movie, and you know if the guy/girl had to choose between family or the love interest, and you know the love is so strong that he will choose his/her family. In Snowdrop, I don't get this feeling. Symbolically I guess, you can argue that the necklace represents that, but it actually doesn't translate very well on screen.

Personally, I really felt that a romance was not necessary. The plot could have been stronger without it, because it's very distracting, and just diffuses any tension the show is trying to create. I just don't get Romeo and Juliet from watching Snowdrop. I just don't quite understand how their love is suppose to be so strong? To me it feels like Young Ro is experiencing a combination of her "First Crush" trope, plus being attracted to a "Bad Boy" trope. The little small things they have done for each other, hasn't really sold me on the whole romance angle.

At this point, I am more curious what happens to Boon Ok, Cheong Ya, Ms. Pi, ang Soo Ho. I really am not invested in Young Ro's storyline.

Off topic. But lee min ho and gong Hyo jin are maybe going to star in Korea's most expensive kdrama.

Ask the stars.

I am so conflicted because I despise Lee min ho's acting. But I stan gong Hyo jin.

The writer didn't give any background to her unfortunate events. We never see her mom, we saw a few seconds of…
Jisoo should have chosen a rom-com as her first drama. There is no shame in doing a rom-com.

In fact a lot of actors/actress have gotten popular doing rom-coms.

So far in Snowdrop, it seems like the only skill they are asking from Jisoo is how well she can plead and cry. It's not a good barometer of an actresses skill.

The only one really performing well are Jung Hae In and Kim Hye Yoon, plus some other actors.

For me, a smartly written show needs to only use one plot point once, maximum twice to send the message.

The writer seems afraid that the audience are too stupid to get what her message is that she will show the same plot point, and satire jokes, MULTIPLE times to driver the point home. Which really makes the writing really repetitive.

It’s not YoungRo’s fault The in-depth characters are not explored much to have any connection with themAnd…
Yup, pretty much this.

Creating better storytelling in the first half would make the emotional scenes in the latter half hit harder.

I'm at the point that even if both leads die, I just won't feel much. The lack of tension in the earlier scenes also doesn't help.

I like the concept of a Romeo and Juliet Kdrama, but I feel that the storytelling wasn't there. Too much holes are left to viewers interpretation.

I think you spoke my mind. If we got more background regarding her family, I would feel a bit more empathy.

Also, she's just so young. Like, Soo Ho is essentially her first crush, and that's what it feels most of the time, like the attraction is on a physical level, which don't get me wrong, Jung Hae In is a thirst trap, but they don't know anything about each other. Romeo and Juliet at the very least is familiar with each other families.

Spending about 3-4 more episodes to develop Young Ro and Soo Ho's romance before the hostage situation would have been a key change that would have made what is happening now a lot more tragic.
