Title My Sunshine Spoiler
why can’t they communicate like normal humans? and what did her dad do, it was so unclear
Yeah, she could have told him she was divorced right after telling him she got married. It would have saved him a visit to the hospital. Her dad asked Yichen to accompany her to the US to escape the impending scandal of the case against him. Yichen's dad was I think the owner of a construction company that worked for Mosheng's dad. Mosheng's dad paid the middleman who did not give the money to Yichen's dad. I think Yichen's dad died while being pursued by his creditors. Yichen's mom died because of grief. So it was the middleman's fault, not Mosheng's dad, that caused the death of Yichen's parents

I gave this drama a go bc Wallace Chung's acting is always good. Plus, I havent's seen him in a modern for a while…
in other sites, it's explained that Nie Yusheng is supposed to have come from a place with Wallace's accent that was why the director did not overdub him. That is, the accent fits the character

I've watched cdramas that mentioned that real happiness may only be attained after overcoming trials and tribulations. Considering the tribulations suffered by the female lead here, fate owes her several lifetimes of happiness

This gives me "My Sunshine" vibes so much I keep humming the ending song of that drama nowadays, the one entitled "What is Love" or "Why Love" that has the lyrics, "... zui hou yi dian di di da da xiao shi de shi jian..." In both dramas, the couples meet again after 7 years.
On Because of Love Jan 21, 2022
Wallace Chung really puts his heart into any role he plays. With his gaunt frame, disheveled hair and rumpled appearance, Nie Yusheng is a portrait of a tormented soul with just enough sanity to lead a decent life. Same with Li Xioaran. Her portrayal of Tan Jing as a living corpse who just lives for her son is spot-on.

One of the best Chinese dramas I have watched. I love it that the leads are both intelligent so they are not easily swayed by others, thus they try to clear up misunderstandings between them. The slow-burn romance is incredibly mesmerizing.
On Because of Love Jan 20, 2022
The chemistry between Wallace Chung and Li Xiaoran in Too Late To Say I Love You was so good, I was excited to find out they are starring together again in this drama. And I have to say the magic is still there. Their acting is so good, I already started crying in episode 2.

The ML's mom is also one of my favorite characters. I was awed at her acting when she was trying to convince the FL's mom of how responsible her son was.

This definitely deserves a higher rating than other dramas with cookie-cutter plots and characters. Well-written and acted, it is one of the best cdramas I've watched. I like how the love story of the leads takes its time to unfold, making viewers glad that these beautiful characters (beautiful inside and out) found each other in a harsh world and can depend on each other.

7.5?! Seriously? While low quality, fluffy idol dramas get 8s and 9s, The ratings on this site are so unreliable.…
I am also dismayed at how many inane dramas have higher ratings than this. MyDramalist ratings seem to be driven by popularity of stars, not by the quality of the drama. There also seem to be MyDramalist users who viciously attack dramas of certain performers.

season one and two : can't feel love and lack of chemistry between Ning Que and Sang Sang. I believe brother and…
The love story of Ning Que and Sangsang is more romantic in the novel. Ning Que first became interested in Sangsang when she was 14, but he showed his considerate and honorable side by leaving her alone after finding out how young she was. Being shameless, it would not have been out of character for him to abuse their master-handmaiden relationship, but he respected her. Their romantic moments after they got engaged are not as awkward as depicted in the series. And of course, the way he took care of her and protected her when the whole world was against her and his heartbreak when she left showed the depth of his love.

Title Ever Night Season 2 Spoiler
I'm in season 1... What happens to shan shan... Didn't Ning Que love shan shan( book addict)‽
Shanshan loves him but he loves Sangsang. He does like Shanshan. She is, after all, one of the most beautiful women in their world. But he also felt desire for Ye Hongyu. He also liked Li Yu and some women in the House of Red Sleeves. I think the reason he is drawn to Shanshan more than other women he likes is because she has told him several times she likes him and he has to say he likes her too. But whenever she is out of sight, he forgets about her. When Sangsang is not around, he loses the capability to love anybody else. He ends up with only one woman in the end, though he flirted with somebody else and another one by proxy. He is a flirt. Shanshan leaves for another world in the end.

Title Ever Night Season 2 Spoiler
i want to know do they kiss in this drama????? pls tell me
In the novel, they did, at least once before the wedding. Their other romantic moments are implied. In the series, I think the wedding scene was done well enough

I'm in season 1... What happens to shan shan... Didn't Ning Que love shan shan( book addict)‽
in the novel, Ning Que described Shanshan as a favorite dish among many, a dish that one may get tired of after eating that dish all the time. In contrast, he likened Sangsang to water - someone he cannot do without. That is, Shanshan is a crush, Sangsang is his love.
On Ever Night Season 2 Apr 19, 2021
I enjoyed Ever Night 2 so much that I read the 1118-page novel Nightfall by Mao Ni, on which the series was based, right after watching the series because I couldn't wait for Season 3 :) S2 tackles a deeper subject matter, not just about one person's revenge but about the survival of the world, and it delivered. It might have added, omitted or modified some scenes but it got the message across in a beautiful way. The important thing is the story and its continuation. I think Dylan Wang did a great job as Ning Que and I hope he'd continue the role in S3.

The producers overestimated the resilience of viewers when it made drastic changes to the cast. I feel bad for the new actors who had to replace the old ones in S1 and bear the brunt of age-old resistance to change. I also feel bad for those who got hung up on S1 cast and refused to appreciate S2. Lastly, I feel bad for the producers whose efforts to give fans S2, even though some S1 actors have moved on to other projects, have been under-appreciated.

The main defect I saw in the drama was that it didn't depict the deepening romantic relationship between Ning Que and Sangsang adequately. Instead, it enhanced the role of Shanshan whose imprisonment and trial were not in the novel. Ning Que was shown to be a goo-goo-eyed love-sick puppy when he was with Shanshan which was not the case in the novel. Ning Que and Sangsang's first kiss in the novel was actually romantic, yet the drama always showed them being awkward, if not clownish, with each other during tender moments. I think if the drama had gotten the romance right, viewers might have been more receptive of the new Ning Que.

I hope S3 would not raise the significance of Ning Que's other women as S2 did. For all his flirtatious ways, he really loved just one woman. And though he was shameless and didn't have the best moral compass, he knew the distinction between love and like.

try Eternal Love (2017) also entitled Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, the best cdrama ever. It's the most watched cdrama of all time

Is the FL supposed to be 33 while the ML is in his 20s? If so, I don't see a reason to complain about the age gap. Age is just a number. A 20-something can be more mature than a 60-something. What matters is a person's character and how two people feel about each other.
