'Been wondering about that too. They got married when they were in second year university; they would have been 20? They broke up after that, so let's say they were 21 when they broke up. They met again in 7 years' time, so they're @28. Let's say coz of their suffering and heartaches they look 5 years older, making them look 33 years old. Wallace Chung was @47 and Li Xiaoran @45 during filming. They look 10 years younger, so in looks they can pass for 37 and 35. Not too far from 33, so I guess it's not too far-fetched. In any case, I agree about their acting skills making up for the inconsistency 😬

'glad the drama seems to be overcoming this controversy. I've witnessed other dramas sunk by pettier reasons and it would be a pity for such a well-acted and well-directed drama not to get its due recognition

The incongruity of this complaint is actually comical. So people can get "immersed" with overdubbed actors but not with actors using their own accented voices, even if the accent fits the character

Saw this interesting write-up describing Li Xiaoran and Wallace Chung (Zhong Hanliang) after they made the drama "Too Late To Say I Love you":
"Li Xiaoran is the 'white moonlight' in the minds of many male gods in the entertainment industry. Called a goddess by Chen Kun, she almost fell in love with Zhong Hanliang because of the drama. She is a woman that many men want to marry."

I've been wondering why Li Xiaoran is not as popular as she should be, considering her talent and beauty. The article explains that she actually does not like shooting films/dramas.

When my family moved to Australia, my daughter adopted the Australian accent quickly. My husband and I didn't, so we had a different accent from our daughter. When we moved to the US, our daughter lost her Australian accent within a year. Thus, a child's accent can differ from that in adulthood; also, a family may have different accents

I can't understand the logic of these nitpicking netizens, preferring overdubbing over using one's real voice. It's like a singer who has been lip-synching somebody else's songs then finally sings using his own voice that has a nontraditional accent and getting complaints about the accent.

As noted before, it's a different mentality. For me, an actor's voice is part and parcel of his performance and overdubbing is a form of deception, just as lip-synching is, for singers who are pretending to be performing live. Just because overdubbing has been used extensively in Chinese dramas does not make it less so. To think I've been gushing over performances of Chinese actors who were overdubbed! I much prefer an actor who uses his own voice even with nontraditional accent than one who is overdubbed. Another thing, Nie Yusheng is supposed to have that accent anyway.

It's such a different mentality, preferring overdubbing, which is tantamount to cheating for me, to having actors use their own voices with nontraditional accents. This reminds me of Beijing Olympics when a girl was made to lip-sync to a pre-recorded voice of another girl but the audience thought it was live or at least that the voice belonged to the performer. I felt hoodwinked when I found out the truth. This time, Wallace's real voice was used yet some netizens complained about it. They prefer to be hoodwinked by overdubbing actors. The world has turned upside down!

sadly, a lot of people are still not mindful of security in the internet (people still publish their birthdays on social media sites, even posting birthday photos). Jing most probably does not have time to read about such security risks and have never heard of social engineering. She trusted her duty manager, the number 1 gotcha in social engineering - trusting others with sensitive information

I'm appalled at the ruckus about Wallace Chung using his own voice and having a nontraditional accent. When I found out Chinese actors are normally overdubbed, I was dismayed. Isn't that cheating? I thought that practice was only done during the advent of sound in films because some silent film actors had terrible voices. So netizens who prefer overdubbing to hearing actors' own voices would rather support cheating than embrace diversity of accents? What should matter the most is that the actor is able to impart the message clearly, with the right tone and emotion.

Regarding Wallace's accent in this drama, I understand his character is supposed to have that accent anyway, so what's with the nitpicking? In any case, anybody who has a problem with nontraditional accents should go out into the world. Being exposed to variety gives one a better appreciation for diversity. In my town alone, English is spoken in so many accents I have learned to be accent-deaf. As long as I can understand what the other person is saying and he's saying it in a civilized manner, no way would I "disengage".

I applaud Wallace Chung for his great acting and beautiful voice.

Regarding Wayne Wang, I sensed some chemistry between Sheng Fangting and Tan Jing. 'Wonder if they're going to have a romantic entanglement. If so, there is going to be a love quadrangle, not just a triangle

I think some epilogues are. The one for ep03 though, where she is on the operating table thinking she is going to die, maybe figurative. Perhaps "death" means the end of the old Jing with her pride and principles? This episode is when she swallows her pride and borrows money from Nie.
